Now reading: Chapter 172 172 from Game of Thrones: My Weekend Trips to Earth, a Action novel by wolfsink.

Luke lay lazily on the soft couch, holding a tablet. On the screen was a long article about the modern military managent system of Dragon Country.

He read with deep focus, his fingers swiping across the screen, thinking about how to design a complete top-to-bottom military structure… so that even if one day House Jaqenion lost its divine power, and even if generals held heavy military authority, no one would rebel or create separatist regis.

"Your Grace~"

A maid entered carrying a tea tray, her steps light and her manner respectful.

She placed the teacup on the small table beside the couch, lifted it with both hands, bowed slightly, and offered it to Luke.

Luke reached out to take it, but his gaze casually swept over the maid's eyes.

His movent paused. He set the teacup down, tilted his head, and looked at that obedient, lowered face.

"Who are you?"

The maid's pupils contracted sharply, a cold gleam flashing. A dagger was drawn from beneath the tea tray and stabbed viciously toward Luke's heart.

!!!

The dagger stopped a hand's breadth away from Luke's chest, suspended in mid-air, unable to advance even an inch.

The maid's face twisted. She gritted her teeth, gripped the dagger with both hands, and pushed forward with all her strength, but the invisible barrier did not budge.

She released the dagger and turned to flee.

Her body suddenly froze, locked in the charging posture like a sculpture frozen in ti.

Her face was ferocious, her expression pained, the veins on her forehead bulging one by one.

Blood slowly overflowed from the corners of her mouth. Dark red liquid also seeped from her nostrils and the corners of her eyes.

A bloody tooth floated out of her mouth and hung in the air, like a chess piece gripped by an invisible hand.

"Want to kill yourself? Is that possible?"

Luke stood up and slowly straightened his clothes.

He looked at the pain-twisted face and spoke in a calm voice, as if discussing sothing trivial.

"My maid Maria is a devout believer of the Seven Gods. Her family lives happily and contentedly in Draco. Her father and brothers are excellent soldiers. Her mother and sisters receive high national subsidies every month. She could not possibly have any killing intent toward ."

He paused, his gaze turning sharp.

"As expected, it's you rats hiding in the shadows."

Bang~

The assassin's body was slamd heavily against the wall by an invisible force, knocking over a row of bookshelves. Books scattered across the floor.

At the spot where she had been standing, a thin, cicada-wing-like human skin mask floated down and hovered lightly where her face had been.

The assassin's face showed shock. Blood still dripped from the corner of her mouth.

"Impossible… how did you find out?"

"You deserve to die." Luke's voice carried a coldness like wind blowing from an ice cave. "You actually destroyed a loyal and happy family that served ."

The guards at the door heard the noise and imdiately rushed in.

Seven or eight n sward over, pinned the assassin to the ground, disard her, and gagged her.

Captain of the Personal Guard Mars walked at the front. When he saw the assassin, his face changed drastically and he dropped to his knees with a thud.

"Your Grace, this servant deserves ten thousand deaths!"

He was among the first batch of soldiers to be knighted and one of the "Twin Stars" of the early guard team.

He and Marcus — one beca the Western Expedition General, the other the Captain of the Personal Guard.

They were the most outstanding and most devout soldiers, forged through blood and fire into loyal warriors.

Luke looked at Mars and blinked.

Then he suddenly laughed.

"You… hahahaha…"

There was no joy in that laughter, only an indescribable mockery.

The soldiers were all stunned, not knowing what their king was laughing at.

Bang—

Mars, who was kneeling on the ground, was slamd into the wall by a giant force. His body sank into the stone,碎石 falling in a shower.

He struggled violently, but that force pressed down on him like a mountain.

"Speak. Who sent you? King's Landing, or soone else?"

Using spiritual power, Luke lifted the man in front of him and personally tore off a thin layer of skin from that loyal face.

The mont the human skin mask was peeled away, a strange face was revealed.

Sharp features, sinister eyes, tightly pressed lips.

Luke's pupils contracted sharply.

He found this face sowhat familiar… it looked a bit like "Jaqen" from the TV series.

The man's expression was pained, veins bulging, and he struggled to say one sentence: "All n must die."

"Faceless n. Good. The House of Black and White, right? Just wait for ."

Luke showed a cold smile, a red light flashing in his eyes.

He was going to forcibly invade the other party's mind sea.

The instant his spiritual power touched that core of consciousness, a black mist surged out from the man's mind sea, like a venomous snake breaking free from its cage, roaring as it lunged to bite him.

Luke's spiritual body instantly transford into a large net woven from flas, wrapping the black mist inside.

"Roar— Roar— Roar—"

The black mist struggled violently inside the flaming net, like a trapped beast, letting out earth-shaking roars.

The flaming net was distorted by the impacts, bulging out one mont and caving in the next, as if about to be torn apart.

Bang.

There was an explosion.

The flaming net was forcibly torn open. The remaining black mist turned into a wisp of demonic wind and vanished into the void.

Luke suddenly opened his eyes. A trace of blood leaked from the corner of his mouth.

His spiritual body had suffered backlash. It felt as if ten thousand needles were stabbing inside his brain.

The "Jaqen" he had controlled with spiritual power was already dead. His body was rapidly shriveling, like a deflated balloon.

His skin wrinkled and shrank, his bones protruded, and in just a few breaths he turned into a dried corpse.

When Bronn rushed in, he saw Luke wiping the blood from the corner of his mouth.

He drew his sword at once, looking around in panic.

"Your Grace! Your Grace!"

"I'm fine." Luke waved his hand, signaling the soldiers to take the female assassin away first.

He wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth and looked at Bronn. "My maid Maria and Captain of the Personal Guard Mars should be dead. Go find their bodies and give them proper burials."

He paused, then solemnly handed two human skin masks to Bronn.

"Award Maria a Silver Radiance Luke dal. Also award Mars a Silver Radiance Luke dal, and record a first-class rit for him."

"Yes, Your Grace!" Bronn saluted respectfully, then hesitated. "Do you need a doctor?"

"No need. Withdraw."

"Yes."

Bronn led the n out of the room.

The door closed. Only Luke remained inside.

He sat back on the couch, closed his eyes, and took a deep breath.

A semi-transparent screen appeared before him:

[Na: Luke] [Strength: 11] [Constitution: 11] [Intelligence: 11] [Spirit: 11] [Fire Strength: 11] [Fire Resistance: 11] [Ice Strength, Light Strength, Dark Strength: 0] [Ice Resistance, Light Resistance, Dark Resistance: 0] [Free Attribute Points: 43]

Luke's gaze rested on the free attribute points.

The last ti he had added points to Fire Strength and Fire Resistance was almost a year ago. He had not touched his personal panel since.

This year had been full of storms. His fa had spread far and wide, and he had accumulated quite a few attribute points.

With a thought, he raised both Intelligence and Spirit to 21.

Free attribute points dropped sharply to 23.

BOOM!

Thunder roared above Harrenhal.

Lightning filled the entire night sky. Silver-white bolts ford a giant spider web, hanging down from the clouds and covering the whole castle.

Everyone looked up at the sky. So cried out in alarm, so knelt, so covered their ears and trembled.

Luke's body uncontrollably smashed through the roof of the Tower of the Burning King and flew into the sky.

Broken stones and tiles flew past him. He shot straight toward the thunderous sky like a stone from a slingshot.

BOOM!

The lightning ford a giant spider web, as if it wanted to devour the entire Harrenhal.

White electric light turned the night into day. The thunder shook the castle walls.

Soldiers knelt on the ground. Commoners hid in their houses. Bronn stood at the base of the Tower of the Burning King, looking up at the figure wrapped in lightning in the sky, his face deathly pale.

It was as if the end of the world had co.

"Ah——"

Luke's voice echoed across heaven and earth, filled with pain, with suppression, with sothing indescribable.

He curled his body, wrapped in the web of lightning. Electric arcs crawled across his skin like countless silver snakes biting him.

His armor lted. His clothes burned to ash. His skin beca transparent under the lightning, revealing the blood vessels and bones beneath.

Then, before everyone's eyes, he turned into an "egg."

A white, glowing, floating egg in the air.

The lightning continued to strike, but when it hit the egg, it only made it brighter, whiter, and more dazzling.

Bronn opened his mouth wide, unable to speak.

The entire Harrenhal fell into silence.

Everyone looked up, staring at the egg in the sky, at the still-roiling thunder and lightning, at this sight they had never seen before and could not understand.

No one knew what had happened.

No one knew what their king had beco.

They simply knelt, waited, and prayed.
