Sylas relaxed his hand and took a breath. His Monkey King Armor faded, and his body seed to grow limber.
In reality, he had just co from two extrely high-stakes battles. To say that he was relaxed was little more than a lie. He needed rest. And a lot of it.
So while the world was going insane, trying to figure out what happened...
He turned and went into his private quarters before having a long-very long-rest.
**
It was three days before Sylas woke up, and the first thing he saw was a long string of ssages from Cassarae... ones he promptly responded to with a cursory "thumbs up" reply before he focused on sothing else.
Sylas hadn't forgotten that he still had one other Gene Class Quest to prepare for.
If others had seen the tasks he was given, they would-10 out of 10 tis-say that the more difficult task was certainly the Demon City task.
[Chaotic nace (Class Upgrade Quest) (Legendary)]
[Carnage and destruction, violence and might. Your creed bleeds red and your blood boils Stars. Deep in your heart you know nothing but chaos, and chaos is your peace.] [The Path of the Chaotic Sovereign is long and arduous, but one Emperor cannot serve two Paths. How can you both be cold and calculating, and harbor such an erratic quagmire within your heart?] [Clear Requirents]
[> Conquer a Demon City]
That wasn't exactly an unacceptable opinion. As difficult as it was to find a Cryst Emperor, finding a Demon City was even more difficult for a myriad of reasons-the chief of them being the fact that you had to actually go to the Demon World to find one.
For obvious reasons, this was a very difficult ask to fulfill, and the majority of people would find themselves at a loss.
As difficult as it was to travel to another Heaven-which would, in most cases, be required to find a Cryst Emperor of appropriate strength had Sylas not gotten lucky-it was even more difficult to travel into the Demon World.
It had to be known that it wasn't just natural for such gates to open up like they had on Earth. That was the product of a very deliberate and effort-filled event on the part of very bad actors.
However, even those gates were a true nightmare. It had to be rembered that when Sylas stepped through, this was the sort of threat he found... —
[Ba'ruk-Thael Mornach'zul Kargathan (DDD )]
[Level: 121]
[Physical: 20,171,389]
[ntal: 20,001,777]
[Will: 30,388,799]
Quests had to be fulfilled by the person in question. Getting help was extrely difficult. You would need soone powerful enough to set up the perfect circumstances to allow it, like Sylas had managed to do for Cassarae when she fulfilled the Silver leg of her Class Quest.
But for a task like this one, considering the scope being far more than just defeating a single person, it was a true nightmare of an ask.
Under usual circumstances, Sylas would have had to find a way to dodge Ba'ruk, then travel deep into the Demon World until he found a city weak enough that he could take it down himself.
Who knew how difficult and ti-consuming such a thing would be?
Luckily for Sylas... he had a solution to all of this. In fact, he would go as far as to say the leg of this Quest would be mind-numbingly straightforward for him. He could easily do it in his present state without much of an issue.
All things considered, the mont he defeated Salivar, he was as fine as an E-tier already.
Still, Sylas didn't rush to go. If there was anything this world had taught him, it was to expect the unexpected. The smartest thing for him to do right this mont was to use his rewards.
These rewards didn't refer to his Class rewards, but instead the rewards for his Quickti Event. The silver lining of having to go through so much trouble was that he was given extra for his trouble.
The first of which was actually the thod through which he managed to get back here.
[Horizon Scepter (Legendary) (Horizon Treasure)]
[Abilities: Horizon Sight; Horizon Travel]
[Place sights on any location in Milky Way Horizon]
[Teleport to any location in Milky Way Horizon]
[Return to Milky Way Horizon from any location in Skai Heaven]
When Sylas originally received this treasure, it had been blank. He had to set a "ho" location before he could use it. Usually, you would have to be in the Horizon itself to use it.
The system probably expected Sylas to set the Seeing Eye Horizon as his "ho," and then teleport to its border so he could quickly cross over into Weaver Horizon territory.
Luckily for Sylas, though... he was a Progenitor. He had a piece of his ho in his Will no matter where he was.
Thanks to that, he was able to set his "ho" to the Milky Way Horizon and co right back to the 001 Sanctum.
The trouble was that the status screen wasn't showing everything it should.
'I need a better Scouting Skill,' Sylas concluded for the one too many tis already. It seed his Scouting Skill was never high enough. If not for how high his Will was, it would be even more troubleso.
The reason Sylas said this was that he knew for a fact that the last of the requirents was on cooldown right now. He could vaguely understand this through the markings in its Runes-the ones he could read, anyway.
The first and second abilities were more flexible. But the first one had many restrictions on it, naly how high- level the territory he was spying on was, and how close to its core he was trying to look. Many high-level cities had protections against spy equipnt like this.
The second ability was the one that could probably be used the most freely. But once again, many territories had protections against such thods, and it required either Sylas' own personal Aether or external sources of it.
With one exception.
