Apollo slowly placed the black arrow on his soul-shattering bow. Taking a deep breath, he gazed at the distant sky, where the strongest and most dangerous power could be felt. His eyes seed to pierce through vast distances and space, locking onto Zombie Dale as clearly as if he were standing before him.

"Here you go," he murmured.

He pulled the bowstring, and the black arrow, like a miniature black hole, began to devour his life force and mana at an alarming rate, draining more than two-thirds of his reserves.

BOOOOM!

With a deafening sonic boom, Apollo released the arrow.

The black arrow, splitting through space with unimaginable speed, shot toward the eastern side, cutting through the air like a harbinger of doom.

"Hmm, what is this feeling? What’s happening?" Zombie Dale, who had been brimming with power, suddenly felt an overwhelming unease. His eerie red eyes narrowed as he sensed a mysterious and unfathomable aura approaching from the northern side. Instinctively, he beca alert, his powerful body tensing as if bracing for an incoming threat.

Suddenly from that direction, he saw an arrow, a dark vortex of pure death energy that carried a force unlike anything he’d ever encountered and ca flying towards him.

The ti seems to have slowed down. At first, he was surprised but suppressed his uneasy feeling and was ready to stop this arrow, but every mont it ca closer and closer, his soul and body started trembling, feeling the aura of death on this arrow like they were surviving this if it hit him.

"No, I have to dodge this...."

He quickly tore through space, appearing a mile away, but the black arrow seed to have locked onto him. It teleported the distance effortlessly, appearing near him once more, making it impossible to evade.

In that desperate mont, Zombie Dale exploded with all his strength, knowing he had no choice. He bet everything on the new power he had gained after surrendering his soul. His ghostly aura intensified, his skeletal form radiating a surge of dark energy as he unleashed every ounce of his strength in a final, desperate bid to survive.

His bone spear transford into a massive shield of bone, glowing with an eerie death aura that seed to solidify the very space around it, attempting to halt the black arrow’s deadly approach.

Tch...

The anticipated clash of almighty forces—one that should have shattered space and obliterated everything in its path—never ca. Instead, there was only silence. An unsettling calm hung in the air, too silent, almost unnaturally so. The world seed to hold its breath as if even the fabric of reality was hesitant to witness what was to co.

Szzz sssszzzzz...

The mont the black arrow touched the bone shield, it disintegrated instantly into dust. There was no earth-shattering power or explosion, just pure, swift annihilation—erasing the shield from existence at its very essence.

"Wha—"

He couldn’t finish the word. In that brief mont, he realized his fate. Before such an overwhelming force, he wasn’t even an ant.

"Save..."

His desperate plea for help seed to reach the mysterious entity that had granted him power. A shadow, untraceable and ominous, materialized behind him—its presence dark and foreboding.

Space and ti seem to have stopped, and everything froze.

"Hmm, who is trying to destroy my slave?" The shadow-like projection looked ahead, containing contempt for all living beings, but just as he looked at the black arrow, his calm and contempt expression changed.

Crack Crack...

As like shattering glass, the black arrow seed to break the space-ti blockade, cutting through the defensive armour Dale had built with his newly gained powers. The mont the arrow made contact, an explosion of black energy erupted as if the fabric of reality itself was being torn apart.

Dale’s ghostly form began to disintegrate, his unholy strength unravelling before the purity of the death energy contained in Apollo’s attack. Even the mysterious power used by the shadowy figure could not shield him from the arrow’s deadly wrath.

"No!" Dale scread as the ti seed to finally start flowing and his body was engulfed in the consuming darkness. The spectral armour, the bone shield, and the aura of death—all of it shattered like fragile glass.

In one final, cataclysmic mont, Zombie Dale was no more. His ghostly figure disintegrated into nothingness, swallowed whole by the overwhelming power of the black arrow.

Only the lingering mysterious shadow of unknown power remained for a mont as its eyes finally showed anger and perhaps fear.

"Who is it? Who can possess such a pure, original law and aura of death?" The shadow pondered, its thoughts racing. But as quickly as it had appeared, the shadow began to fade, disappearing into nothingness, along with Zombie Dale’s annihilation.

The eastern sky, once filled with his nacing presence, was now eerily quiet. All of these things happened in a matter of seconds, but because of their strength and speed, many things happened in such a short mont that the people below couldn’t understand what just happened.

To the onlookers, it felt surreal. Just monts ago, Zombie Dale had radiated unimaginable power, effortlessly injuring the City Lord with nothing but a re snort. His overwhelming presence dominated the battlefield, striking fear into everyone.

But now, in an instant, everything seed to vanish. The only trace left behind was the terrified and panicked voice of Zombie Dale, echoing through the sky before fading into silence.

It was as if his once-mighty existence had been wiped away, leaving the world in eerie stillness.

Only the strong people like the city lord, Kaleb, and the other saint present here caught a glimpse of what just happened, but it was shocking enough. They just saw a blurry image of an arrow, and the rest were mysteries because the next mont, everything seed to have ended.

"We are saved!" "We’re all saved!"

One after another, as they ca to their senses and broke the silence as they understood sothing, they shouted with relief and began to celebrate. The realization that they had been spared from death filled them with joy and gratitude.

In fact, only two within the city knew what truly transpired. One, of course, was Apollo, who—thanks to the protection of the Book of Death—witnessed everything, even as ti itself seed to freeze in that brief, fateful mont.

The other was none other than Pussy King, whose seemingly innocent, wide-eyed gaze belied an ancient wisdom. His pupils glowed faintly with golden light as he observed every detail with a calm, knowing air.

To all others, the event was beyond comprehension, but to these two, the mystery of Zombie Dale’s annihilation and the appearance of the mysterious shadow was crystal clear.

"Did you see that?" Apollo asked as he landed beside Pussy King and quickly retracted the Book of Death to let it rest. The new ability, Mark of Death God, which the Book of Death had awakened after absorbing the large death aura, was an extraordinarily powerful attack that had nearly drained all his energy, even with the help of the absorbed death aura.

Using this powerful ability, he can create an arrow that holds the power of the God of death and can kill almost everything below God. And he saw its power clearly, even the mysterious being that seed to transcend the world; even though it was just so projection, it still could not change the ending.

Pussy King looked up at him with a calm, knowing expression, his golden eyes glowing faintly. "I saw everything," he replied nonchalantly, his tone almost teasing as if the monuntal event that had just unfolded was of little consequence to him.

"Anyways, it was you that ssed with soone who is barely able to be considered strong and in his ho ground. So don’t worry if it cos to you; I will... surely leave you alone to face it."

Hearing this, Apollo’s face twitched. This cat’s clearly saying it’ll run away, he thought with annoyance. Damn, why did I even bring it here? Just to hear its sarcastic remarks?

As they bickered, Alyona, standing quietly beside them, couldn’t help but glance at Apollo. She had clearly seen him fire that strange arrow toward the eastern sky, where the most terrifying aura had been emanating. Yet, after he released that shot, the overwhelmingly powerful presence vanished instantly. It couldn’t be a coincidence.

The more she thought about it, the more surprised she beca. That aura had undeniably been imnse, far surpassing even saints in strength. And yet, Apollo had killed it.

What shocked her even more was the book he wielded—a book brimming with death energy and law. She was almost certain it was the legendary Divine Artifact, the Book of Death, rumoured to have reappeared a few years ago.

But even if that were true, it was still beyond belief. Divine Artifacts were incomprehensibly powerful, yet even saints struggled to activate them fully and barely managed to hold their own against half-gods. Killing one outright? That was sothing almost unheard of.

Could it be the Book of Death isn’t an ordinary Divine Artifact? But the stronger the artifact, the more extre their requirents were. She couldn’t think of any reason and, in the end, let it go, as it’s good to have strong partners, as this trial seems many tis more dangerous than they expected.

After the shock wore off, everyone gradually cald down. Soldiers began clearing the area and nearby surroundings, as so weaker zombies still lingered even after the death storm had ceased.

On the western side, Chira also appeared to have devoured the fifth-rank zombie and returned. The other sides were in similar conditions, with all having finally survived the death storm.
