Apollo nodded, his gaze sharp.
"Let’s go."
And with that, they stepped into the space portal, as he wasn’t going alone; there would be many more mbers from Sky Tower that would also co with him.
They arrived at a floating city in the void, nad Sky Nexus. A massive floating city suspended in the endless void, radiating an ancient yet futuristic aura. It was one of the important places for the Sky Tower.
And here also the other guys who are joining him were waiting.
As Apollo and Kael stepped out of the space portal, they were greeted by the breathtaking sight of Sky Nexus—a colossal floating city that defied the very laws of reality. It shimred with an ancient grandeur yet pulsed with an advanced, futuristic energy.
Massive skybridges, constructed from mystic alloys, connected towering spires that seed to stretch into infinity. The city itself hovered over a swirling abyss of void energy, drawing power from the fabric of space itself.
This was one of Sky Tower’s most important domains—a place where Void Gods and even Eternal Gods gathered to prepare for significant events.
Waiting for him were the other representatives of Sky Tower—figures of imnse strength and reputation, each standing in quiet anticipation.
Kael’s gaze swept over them, his expression unreadable. Apollo, anwhile, evaluated his new companions, curious about the forces Sky Tower had sent for the gathering of the Three Universe Alliance.
They entered the special hall in the centre of the city. There are quite a few people waiting from different strengths to different races.
His gaze flickered over them. He could tell that many were at the Void God level, but there were also a handful of Eternal Gods, their re presence creating a distortion in space around them.
At the far end of the hall, seated on an ornate throne-like chair, was an elderly figure clad in flowing white robes, his eyes gleaming with unfathomable wisdom. He exuded an aura so deep and unfathomable that even Apollo couldn’t imdiately gauge his strength.
This was likely one of the great overseers of Sky Tower, a figure who commanded respect even among the mighty eternal gods.
As Apollo and Kael moved further in, a few eyes turned toward them, so filled with curiosity, others with quiet scrutiny, which he can understand.
No matter what, if you who lived and worked for thousands of years and suddenly asked to follow so young kid who just joined them a few years ago, anybody would feel anger. It doesn’t matter how talented the person is.
Then, a deep voice broke the tense silence.
"Hmph. Is this really the one Sky Tower wants us to follow?"
A towering figure stepped forward—a man clad in obsidian armour, his presence radiating a dense, oppressive force. His burning crimson eyes locked onto Apollo, clearly asuring him.
From the murmurs in the crowd, Apollo quickly pieced together his identity.
Draven, the Abyss Blade.
A powerful eternal God who had been at this level for nearly twenty thousand years, known for his battle-hardened experience and ruthless combat style. He wasn’t the strongest here, but he was undoubtedly among the most vocal.
Apollo t his gaze calmly, completely unfazed.
"You seem dissatisfied," he said flatly.
Draven smirked, stepping closer. "It’s not dissatisfaction. Just curiosity. Sky Tower calls you our ’leader’ for this gathering, but why should we acknowledge a kid like you?" His aura flared slightly, the weight of his power pressing onto Apollo like a heavy storm.
He cannot help it, as he fought all his life and now had to follow a kid who is countless tis younger than him, which was beneath his pride.
Apollo was ready to give this guy so lessons. However, before he could do that, the overseer made his move as the entire place seed to feel the pressure.
The air grew thick, the very layer of space trembling under an unseen force. The mont the Overseer made his move, an overwhelming pressure spread through the hall, suppressing everything beneath it.
Draven’s smirk vanished instantly. His body tensed, sweat beading at his temple as he instinctively took a step back. This wasn’t normal suppression. It was as if the very laws of the universe were bending in submission.
Apollo, however, remained unshaken. His divine body, infused with the essence of four supre rules, adapted instantly. Even if the pressure was suffocating for others, to him, it was little more than a passing breeze.
Then, a calm yet indifferent voice echoed through the hall.
"If questioning leadership was so easy, then why weren’t you chosen instead?"
The Overseer appeared—a figure draped in flowing silver robes, eyes like the endless cosmos itself. His very presence carried an authority that demanded respect.
Draven clenched his fists but wisely held his tongue. He wasn’t a fool. As strong as he was, challenging the Overseer’s words would be sheer arrogance.
The silver-robed figure continued, his voice laced with an undeniable decree. "Apollo was selected by Sky Tower. That alone is enough."
A tense silence followed. No one dared to speak.
