So universities’ research and developnt achievents are also assessed by their inclusion in foreign academic paper databases.

With the developnt of dostic technology, especially in advanced technology research and developnt, it has far surpassed that of foreign countries. Whether it’s the publication of research papers or the evaluation chanisms for results, one could say it’s outdated.

Therefore, it’s necessary for the dostic sector to develop its unique awards and evaluation criteria to adapt to the changing status of advanced technology research and developnt both dostically and internationally.

Now, Zhao Yi has only created a beginning, establishing an award with a global influence. In the future, there will certainly be more awards introduced dostically, which will continuously change and enrich the academic evaluation criteria.

After completing the initial work of the selection committee, Zhao Yi handed over his duties to others, while he discussed academic issues with a few invited scholars.

The others were sowhat better; they were only invited to participate in the selection process, serving as mbers of the selection committee, and would later participate in the nomination of candidates.

After attending the press conference, they left within a couple of days.

Edward Witten was different.

Going back three years, he felt he was almost the sa as Zhao Yi, at least in terms of research in theoretical physics, where the two were on the sa level.

Zhao Yi pioneered Boundary Theory, while he was a leading figure in string theory, and the two worked together on multidinsional space boundary issues.

Now things were different.

Edward Witten felt there was a huge gap between him and Zhao Yi in theoretical physics research. Since the advent of anti-gravity theory, Zhao Yi had beco the world’s leading theoretical physicist. His theories had even been applied in reality, and not long ago, he had completed a space shuttle experint.

The two were no longer on the sa level.

Edward Witten didn’t envy the research on anti-gravity or Z-waves; he just marveled at Zhao Yi’s strength. However, he cared deeply about the fundantal logic of the universe, including string theory and multidinsional space issues, for which he wished to find results.

So, after the work of the selection committee ended, Edward kept following Zhao Yi, asking about space research issues, and even outright refused to leave.

If it had been soone else, Zhao Yi would have had the guards send them away.

That wasn’t an option with Edward Witten, though.

He and Edward were indeed friends, in an intergenerational friendship. When Zhao Yi first started studying theoretical physics, Edward provided him a lot of guidance, and during their research collaboration, Edward also contributed many ideas and foundational knowledge, most of which could not be found in books and were nearly impossible to hear about from anyone else.

Zhao Yi felt helpless and truly had no solution.

Send him away? No, that wouldn’t do!

But the mathematical content related to space research was confidential, and Edward was a professor at Princeton. He couldn’t discuss space mathematics directly with Edward, so he couldn’t answer his questions.

In the end, bored out of his mind, Zhao Yi simply said, "Edward, we’re friends, but there are so things that can’t be shared even among friends."

"If you want to know more, there’s a way."

"What way?" Edward Witten imdiately brightened, asking anxiously.

"Co work with . Quit your job at Princeton, bring your family here, and you will get a new passport—I guarantee it," Zhao Yi said earnestly. "But you have to think it over carefully."

"This—"

Edward Witten hesitated; he certainly understood what Zhao Yi ant, but it was not an easy decision to make.

He took a deep breath and said, "I’ll consider it."
