While they were rushing to save their lives, high up in the air, under the concealnt of the clouds, a woman dressed in icy blue-white robes silently watched everything unfold.
Although her expressions were hidden because of the white mask on her face, her nails were grinding against her hard skin. Her hair fluttered in the air as she turned her head in the direction of the forest.
In the depths of the forest, the sa beasts who had just eaten the rest of the Rank 3 beasts started to show erratic behaviors. They started to howl, and roar, and so even slamd their bodies into the mountains but nothing helped them; they started to lose consciousness.
*Roar!!*
Finally, the Rank 4 Spirit Beasts also lost their minds and did the sa thing the Rank 3 Beasts did. They either entered the territory of the stronger beasts or they lost themselves to their bloodlust.
Even the Rank 5 Beasts were starting to get affected, their screams could be heard from the depths of the forest, but then Wuhan's emotions had already started to calm down, and the beasts from Rank 5 and above were no longer fueled by their bloodlust which ant that the effects on them were minimal.
As soon as that happened, the forest stopped trembling, the cracks stopped appearing, and the beasts were no longer affected by Wuhan's emotions.
But it was already too late. The beasts who escaped the forest were mad and hungry for blood. Seeing the humans before them, they had nothing else on their minds besides eating them.

Back at the settlent, the Condensation stage guard smiled a little, seeing the guards following his words before a frown appeared on his face. He looked to his side and saw one of the guards still did not move to help.
"What are you doing? Help us!" He scread at the top of his lungs and moved to push the huge wooden gates along with the rest of the guards.
The young man who was called snapped out of his daze and looked at the guards and then at the woman who was running towards them.
Seeing them closing the gates, despair started to appear all over her face. A mont of distraction caused her to stagger and trip over her feet.
The look of hope started to vanish from her eyes when the gates were almost closed. The young man could not bear to see this scene, and after making up his mind, he finally took a step forward.
Instead of pushing the door, he moved right past the guards and walked out of the gates. 'She is not just one person, and besides, I would rather not be a guard than be this kind of guard.'
"Oye, where are you going?!" One of the guards tried to stop the boy, but he was stopped by the sa guy who proposed to close the gate. "Let him go! Focus on closing the gate, he wants to die, let him die."
Even though they seed reluctant, the guards focused on closing the door once more. The beasts were already a few hundred ters away from them, and they did not want to die.
The woman outside the settlent was shocked to see a young guard dashing towards her.
She turned back and saw a stampede of beasts coming in her direction. Their intimidating appearance and powerful aura almost caused her to faint from fear.
Before she even realized it, the guard appeared before her, shielding her from the beasts. Despite knowing what the outco would be, the man raised his sword and stood tall, ready to face the Rank 3 Spirit Beasts.
"Please take my child! I cannot run anymore!" Snapping out of her daze, the woman kowtowed to the guard on her knees, her face sared with dirt as she pleaded for him to take her son away. "I will only be a burden, they might delay seeing here, please take him away in the anti!"
"Mama!! Waah! Waah!" The child started to cry in fear and sadness, he did not like seeing his mother's state. Her appearance broke his heart. On the other hand, the young man was not much different from the child. He did not expect the woman to suddenly say sothing like that.
He was here to save them both and she wanted to sacrifice herself.
"Please hurry up!! They will be here in no ti!!!" The woman clenched at the man's robes seeing the beasts coming closer and closer.
'How is this any different from what they are doing?' The guard clenched his hands in frustration. 'Why am I so powerless that I have to choose who to save? I want to save them both!'
*Roar!!*
By the ti the guard could make a decision, the beasts were just a couple of ters away from them.
Hearing their roar that was so loud it seed as if they were right beside his ears, the young man jerked his head backward only to see a huge claw coming right at them.
Everything was happening so suddenly for him that he could not even properly think of anything.
His body shook before it moved on its own and he used his own body to hug the mother and child in hopes of protecting them.
The guard and the woman closed their eyes hoping everything would end instantly.
Although the woman regretted not being able to save her son, there was nothing she could do.
*Splurt!!*
Hearing the sound of sothing slashing, they squeezed their eyes and tightened their hold on each other.
But…
The pain they were expecting never appeared. Instead, they felt the feeling of warmth covering their bodies followed by the sharp sll of iron.
They opened their eyes and realized that they were covered in blood. Not just them, but even the ground beside them was painted with blood.
Turning to the side, the guard's eyes widened upon seeing the headless body of a two-headed wolf lying motionlessly.
Even though the beast was dead, fresh blood was still dripping from the body of the beast.
