Clank! Clank!
Within the silent walls of the royal palace, the crisp sound of Wuhan’s footsteps echoed, followed by an unseen pressure pulsing around his body.
The very foundation of the building started shaking.
The floor cracked and the walls groaned.
But the woman sitting on the throne at the far end of the room did not seem fazed by it.
She sat there on the lofty throne that no longer belonged to her, leaning her head on her fist while her elbow rested on the arm of the throne.
While walking, Wuhan suddenly flexed his fingers, making a multicolored glow appear around them.
But the next second...
As the space twisted, rippling like sothing was about to appear out of it, his fingers paused and the glow dissipated.
Space returned to normal, settling down.
"HahahAH!!! Have you grown so fucking attached to those ants that you would make the mistake of not using the most powerful card up your sleeve?"
All of a sudden, shadows in all corners started to enlarge, covering more and more area.
Wuhan ignored the shadows and climbed the stairs of the throne and stood towering over the woman who claid to be his mother.
"I am not arrogant or weak because I care for the people under my protection." He looked her in, his voice coldly echoed in every corner of the room. "It just ans I have beco an Emperor."
Tshhh!
The shadows hissed as the expression on Feng Niu’s face twisted. Her body instantly disappeared into the shadows before reappearing behind Wuhan.
She conjured a spear made from the darkness of the shadows and stabbed it in her son’s back.
Clank!
Her eyes widened slightly in shock when she saw a blade deflecting her weapon at the last mont.
At this ti, Wuhan looked over his shoulder and added, "And I have also beco stronger. Strong enough to not rely on those things."
He slowly turned to face her while using his flaming sword to distance the spear.
Hiss!!
The flas licked the shadows, trying to devour them. The shadows hissed upon contact with the touch of the immortal flas of a phoenix.
"And it seems you have grown weaker than before."
Clank! Clank!
Within a second, they traded several blows, which ended up with a tie. But only sharp eyes might notice that Wuhan was slowly being pushed back.
"It does not matter if I am weaker now. I can still take you even in my sleep." With a cold snort, Feng Niu jumped back and created so distance between them.
Shadow Sovereign’s Domain!
Shadow Devour!
Forming complex seals with her hands, Feng Niu unleashed her domain. A silver-gray sphere extended in all directions with her figure as the center.
Not only did it swallow Wuhan, but it also devoured the whole Royal Palace.
Inside this domain, the whole palace appeared to be completely different than before.
The colors had bled out of the void itself, and the air seed to have stilled under so sort of pressure.
Right after the domain was released, a torrent of qi surged toward the forr Empress in the shape of a hurricane.
Blades of qi and shadows flashed in all directions, cleaving the pillars and scarring the ground.
"Now that you are in the Embryonic Soul Realm, why don’t you show your domain?"
Feng Niu went through so sort of transformation as her hair and other parts of her body appeared to be one with the shadows around her. Traces of qi that she had devoured using the innate skill of her domain still lingered around her.
But then she paused, and suddenly a grin appeared on her face as she said, "Or could it be you are a fake Budding soul Realm expert? Soone who entered the realm forcefully without forging their domain."
Saying this, she noticed Wuhan’s fingers tightening around the hilt of his sword. He used his sword like it was a part of his body, with finesse and ease.
Ode of Phoenix: Flas of End Burn Through The Heavens!
He unleashed a sword strike different from any he had ever used before. Even in his fight against the lord of the night.
The multicolored flas licked the blade of the sword as they danced round it. The ground beneath him started to beco red; the stone floor radiated heat that made the air twitch in tension.
Boom!
Under the pressure, the floor caved, and before a swirl of red-hot qi surged upwards towards the raised blade.
Everything that seed to be happening for several minutes had actually co to pass within a fraction of a second.
Wooosh!!!
All the accumulated energy gathered at the tip of his blade, compressed to a single focal point.
And when the sword fell down, the glowing orb, which seed to be the purest essence of flas, suddenly disappeared.
Followed by a sonic boom, a huge section of the throne room had disappeared.
Boom!
The entire palace shook from the shortwaves of the unseen attack. The areas of impact that were still hanging by a thread or lying on the ground could be seen burning despite their material or structure.
Clank!
Wuhan’s gaze fell on the burning severed legs that remained standing in place where Feng Niu once stood, and he lowered his head in silence. A cold breath escaped his lips when...
Shh!
He noticed sothing and hurriedly dodged to the side. A dark blade passed through the spot where he was standing. It collided with the intact wall of the room, slicing into several granules.
"Shadow Mirage escape." Wuhan whispered under his breath as he calmly turned around. There stood Feng Niu in the flesh, unhard and still brimming with energy.
As if to confirm his suspicion, the burning remains of her body suddenly turned into dark fluid, which was then swallowed by their own shadows.
"I already expected as much." Wuhan wasted no ti with words and moved for another attack.
He no longer used the sa move twice since it was not only a little energy-consuming, but also his surroundings and situation did not allow him to do so.
Which was also the reason he had not used this attack back in the Elven Empire.
Looking around at the destruction his attack had caused, the black-haired woman exclaid proudly. "It seems you are finally becoming worthy to be called my son."
"I would rather be an orphan." Said Wuhan, while stabbing her with his sword.
