That was when a calm, emotionless voice echoed beside her.

"If you want," the entity said softly, "I can help you beco the most famous weapon designer."

Hearing those words, Cassandra frowned deeply. "What do you an?" Her voice carried confusion, but also a faint, unsteady tremor.

The entity replied calmly, its tone smooth and emotionless.

"As long as you allow to control your body, I will ensure that you win every competition."

There was a brief pause before it continued, "I possess a special ability. I can copy anyone’s design simply by reading their thoughts."

Cassandra’s brows knitted together. "That’s impossible."

"It is possible," the entity responded evenly. "All you need to do is exchange an item with the other party."

Cassandra’s expression darkened. "That’s... evil."

Yet despite her words, a faint trace of temptation flickered in her eyes, sothing she herself failed to notice.

The entity continued unhurriedly, "You can compensate the person whose design you copy."

Cassandra murmured uneasily, "That doesn’t feel right."

Her fingers tightened. "What if they break down? What if they get accused of plagiarism?"

The entity fell silent.

That silence itself was an answer. Or rather, it made it clear that whatever answer existed was sothing Cassandra would never want to hear.

After that, neither of them spoke again.

Days passed quietly, and two months flew by in the blink of an eye. Another competition arrived... and Cassandra lost again.

Fury swallowed her whole. The bitterness, the injustice, the humiliation all piled up until she could no longer endure it. Without hesitation, she whispered inwardly, ’Take over.’

The entity did not ask a single question.

Three months later, they participated in yet another competition.

This ti, Cassandra crushed her opponent with ease.

Soon after, the other party was accused of plagiarism and was ultimately disqualified from all future competitions.

Cassandra even went as far as stealing that person’s designer. In compensation, she secretly sent over so money, but it was nothing compared to what she was gaining.

Fa. Wealth. Status.

All of it was built upon sothing that had been completely stripped away from the real designer.

That vision showed Lana everything clearly. Even if Cassandra had once been a victim, it didn’t change the fact that she had willingly made her choice.

No one could force Cassandra to give up her body unless she allowed it herself. And she had allowed it... simply because she wanted to.

anwhile, Cassandra stood staring at Ivy’s retreating back, her expression hollow and lost.

If Ivy had to describe Cassandra, then she would say this: Cassandra was soone who loved everyone... but loved herself more.

She was selfish at her core, soone who always prioritized herself above all else. That was precisely why she had chosen to let another entity take over her body.

As Lana walked away, she felt much lighter.

In the future, if Cassandra ever truly felt threatened, Lana could wipe out that entity completely. Other than that, there was nothing more she intended to do.

After hearing Lana’s explanation, Mr. Crow couldn’t help but ask, "If that’s the case... then what about the designer this ti? Isn’t she pitiful?"

Lana laughed softly. "I wish I could say she is." Her voice turned calm. "In this life, she hasn’t done anything wrong at least that’s waht she believes." She paused. "But her past deeds weren’t clean."

She continued evenly, "When she was younger, she stole other designers’ works. She rose step by step, rediscovered her talent, and eventually began creating her own designs."

Her gaze darkened slightly.

"But by then, soone had already committed suicide after being accused of plagiarism for sothing that was stolen from them."

Mr. Crow sighed heavily. "The world really can’t be judged so easily." After a mont, he added, "Compared to that designer, you’re truly pitiful."

Lana laughed again. "I’m not pitiful." Her smile was faint. "Maybe I didn’t copy anyone’s designs in my previous life, but my behavior when I was young wasn’t sothing to be proud of either."

With that thought lingering in her mind, Lana continued working.

Mr. Crow stared at her as if she had suddenly grown three wings. "You really have a habit of putting yourself down," he muttered.

Lana only smiled.

...............

After returning to the mansion, Lana resud cultivating. Once she was done, she focused on making talismans. Over the next few days, her routine remained unchanged... university, the mansion, cultivation, talismans.

She also made sure that Luke, the young man she had rescued, remained safe. She arranged for soone to take care of him and secretly provided him with money. Luke was curious about the mysterious benefactor, but he didn’t dare ask.

On the third day, when Lana entered her classroom, she saw Axel waiting for her.

She imdiately walked up to him with a bright smile. "So? How did it go?"

Axel replied calmly, "I transferred the money to a private account." He lowered his voice. "I was worried soone might try to trace your identity through your personal account."

As he spoke, he slid a bank card toward her.

Lana quickly checked it and smiled in satisfaction before looking back at Axel expectantly.

Axel returned her smile. "You made a considerable amount this ti." He paused deliberately. "There’s 1.5 billion dollars in that account."

Lana’s eyes widened. ’1.5 billion dollars.’

Before she could fully process it, Axel continued, "So people felt the talismans were too precious." His gaze sharpened slightly. "So instead of money, I requested sothing else."

He slid several agreents across the table.

The mont Lana saw them, she froze.

These weren’t ordinary contracts. There were agreents stating that each respective family owed her a favor. Even though they were only small business tycoons, such favors were invaluable.

If she continued accumulating agreents like these, there was a very real chance that one day, she could even stand against the city’s top tyrants.

Realizing that, Lana looked up at Axel with genuine gratitude shining in her eyes.
