Lana kept her words cryptic, but Fay understood.

There were suddenly very high chances that Fay herself might be a GA mber. Otherwise, why would she have created such a huge commotion the mont she heard those words?

Fay finally snapped out of her rage. Her eyes were red, her breathing uneven, and grievance seeped into her voice like poison.

"Stop saying such stupid things," she snapped. "I’m not a GA mber. Not at all."

Lana burst out laughing, the sound light yet sharp in the tense air.

"Then why did you react so strongly when I threw that accusation out?"

Her gaze turned piercing. "Did it ever cross your mind that I might’ve felt the sa way when you accused ?"

Fay fell silent, her lips pressed tightly together. After a long pause, she finally spoke, her voice lower, uncertain.

"If you’re not a GA mber, then why does it feel like all the problems started only after you appeared?"

Lana laughed again, this ti softer, almost amused.

"Of course problems appeared," she replied calmly.

"Because the GA mber probably wanted to act for a long ti." Her eyes narrowed slightly. "They were just waiting... for a reason, or for soone to appear."

She paused before continuing, "My appearance and my abilities likely threatened that person. So whether it’s a he or a she, they decided it was finally ti to move."

Those words hit Fay like a bucket of cold water.

Regret crept into her expression. In truth, there had been countless loopholes in her accusation against Lana, but she had ignored all of them... purely because of jealousy.

Now, hearing Lana’s explanation, she finally realized how foolish she had been, and how much trouble she might have brought upon her own departnt.

She stood there silently for a mont before asking in a subdued voice, "Then... what proof do you have that you’re not a GA mber?"

Lana laughed as if she had heard sothing ridiculous. "Logically speaking," she replied lightly, "shouldn’t you be the one providing proof that I am a GA mber?"

Fay’s face heated up with sha. She had no answer and lowered her gaze, falling silent once more.

Lana straightened and spoke evenly. "Everything that needed to be said has already been said."

Her tone turned cold. "I won’t linger here any longer, and I hope you won’t continue acting like a fool in the future."

With that, she turned and walked away.

This ti, Fay didn’t stop her. Instead, clarity finally settled into her mind, and she silently decided to investigate everything on her own.

.......................

Lana exited the Mystical Departnt and was just about to stroll away when she suddenly saw Cassandra.

The mont Lana spotted her, she froze. It was as if she had seen sothing that she didn’t want to.

Cassandra, on the other hand, perked up imdiately. She walked toward Lana and asked brightly,

"What are you doing in the Mystical Departnt?" Mid-sentence, she paused, her eyes widening. "Wait... are you part of the Mystic Departnt?"

Lana remained silent.

Cassandra’s face lit up with excitent. "That’s great!" she exclaid. "Now you don’t have to worry about those Almond family mbers anymore."

Lana didn’t respond. She simply started walking away.

Cassandra quickly followed behind her. "Have you thought things through?" she asked anxiously. "Are you ready to give a chance?"

Lana slowed her steps and turned her head slightly. After a brief silence, she replied calmly, "I don’t want to give you any kind of chance."

Cassandra’s face instantly turned pale.

Lana continued without hesitation. "I can help you get rid of that thing inside you." Her voice was steady. "But other than that, I won’t give you anything... not even the friendship we once had."

With that, she walked away.

Cassandra stood there, staring blankly at Lana’s retreating figure, completely dazed.

....................

Mr. Crow couldn’t help but ask later, "Why did you suddenly decide not to befriend Cassandra?"

His tone carried confusion. "Weren’t you planning to give her at least one chance? Especially if that entity manipulated her in your previous life?"

Lana laughed as if she had just heard a joke and perhaps she had.

"Maybe there’s a fifty percent chance she didn’t want things to turn out that way," she replied casually. "But there’s a much higher chance that she willingly let that entity take over."

Her smile faded slightly. "Maybe she was conscious the entire ti. Watching everything. And little by little, she beca greedy... and forgot about ."

Mr. Crow frowned. "Did you see sothing?"

Lana smiled faintly. "This ti, I saw a future I never saw in my previous life."

As she spoke, the scene flashed vividly in her mind.

The mont Cassandra approached her earlier, Lana had seen it... a strange white mist surrounding Cassandra’s body, but it was corrupted.

This mist was nothing like the pure white aura that kind people possessed, nor the one belonging to those who had accumulated good karma.

This mist carried streaks of red, gold, black, and countless other hues. For a fleeting mont, it almost resembled a twisted rainbow.

Before Lana could think any further, a vision overtook her.

In that vision, Cassandra stood in front of a mirror, her voice helpless as she whispered,

"What am I lacking? Why am I never good enough?"

She then walked toward a table and began flipping through docunts... the ones she had submitted for a weapon design competition.

Cassandra had participated in the competition and even reached the semi-finals.

Yet, she failed to enter the finals and was eliminated midway. What enraged her the most was that the person who advanced had skills far inferior to hers.

The reason for her elimination was simple... she had gone head-on against one of the top designers.

Resentnt consud her. *At least second place should’ve been mine,* she thought bitterly.

When she received third place instead, hatred surged within her. She even considered demanding a rematch... but ultimately restrained herself.

Now, as she stared at her performance records, helplessness flooded her heart.
