She froze.

Slowly, she lifted her gaze back to Lucian. He was looking at her.

That gentle smile, soft, almost affectionate, rested on his lips. For a mont, everything else faded.

Her caution... her rationality... all of it slipped away.

"Why do you look so beautiful..." she murmured, almost unconsciously.

Her voice was soft, yet filled with sothing dangerously intense.

’Beautiful... to the point that I want to ruin you...’

Before she could stop herself, she leaned forward again and kissed him, this ti deeper, more lingering.

It had been so long. Too long.

A faint irritation flickered within her. "Why can’t I see you more often...?"

Lucian did not pull away.

Instead, he responded.

His presence shifted slightly as he moved closer, but Lana was faster. Her lips trailed away from his, moving slowly along his jaw, down to his neck.

Her breath brushed against his skin as she continued, her movents unhurried, almost as if savoring him.

From his neck... to his collarbone... And further down.

Her lips brushed softly against his chest.

"I missed you..." she mumbled quietly, her voice muffled against his skin.

Lucian froze slightly. But Lana didn’t stop.

"I missed you so much..." she continued softly. "I want to see you... in person ..."

Then suddenly she shifted and climbed onto his lap, catching him slightly off guard.

Her hands rested against his shoulders as she looked directly into his eyes, her gaze turning serious.

"If you have dare to have a girlfriend..." she said slowly, her voice dropping, "then I’ll bite you to death."

As she spoke, her fingers began to trail lightly across his chest, slow and deliberate, until they stopped right above his heart.

"Right here," she continued softly, her eyes narrowing slightly. "I’ll bite you so hard... your heart might just pop out."

She tried to look fierce. Tried to appear threatening.

But from Lucian’s perspective...she only looked unbearably adorable.

Lucien agreed softly, his voice steady.

"Okay." Then, without hesitation, he added, "I will only listen to you... follow you... and love you."

The mont they left his lips, Lana froze.

Her breath hitched.

She stared at Lucien as though she had just seen a ghost standing before her, sothing familiar yet deeply wrong.

Her lips parted slightly before she forced out, "Can you... repeat what you just said?"

Lucien’s gaze didn’t waver. There was no confusion, no hesitation... only a terrifying clarity.

"I will only listen to you," he repeated calmly. "I will love you, protect you, and follow you."

A chill crawled down Lana’s spine.

She narrowed her eyes, studying him carefully, suspicion creeping into her expression.

’This... isn’t right.’

For the first ti, she felt sothing shift inside her. It was as if she weren’t looking at a dream version of Lucien but the real one.

That sa quiet confidence. That sa unwavering certainty in his eyes.

Her heartbeat quickened. ’No... this shouldn’t be possible...’

Before she could piece her thoughts together, the dream began to waver.

Panic flickered across her face as she quickly spoke, "I’ll talk to you later."

And then...darkness.

When Lana opened her eyes again, she was staring at the ceiling, her gaze unfocused and hollow.

Mr. Crow, who had been waiting for her to wake up with her usual giggle and bright expression, was stunned into silence.

Sothing was wrong.

He leaned forward, his brows knitting together. "What happened? Didn’t the dream go the way you planned?"

Lana slowly pushed herself up.

She glanced at him, her expression uncertain, almost hesitant.

"If I say sothing... that I have started to start suspecting sothing absurd... will you think I’m being stupid?"

Mr. Crow frowned slightly, confusion flashing across his face. "What exactly are you suspecting?"

Lana lowered her gaze for a mont before speaking, her voice quieter now. "I think... sohow... Lucien is able to enter my dreams."

Mr. Crow’s eyes widened.

For a split second, he almost smacked his own arm in delight, but he restrained himself, forcing down the surge of reaction bubbling inside him.

He took a breath and said, "If you’re being completely honest... then I’ll believe you."

Lana paused.

She looked at him, searching his face, then slowly shook her head. "Even if you say you believe ... I don’t think I can believe it myself."

Without waiting for a response, she stood up and walked toward the door, her footsteps quiet but firm.

Mr. Crow remained where he was, utterly stunned.

Speechless.

’What kind of logic is that?’ His thoughts spiraled.

’She can question sothing like this... yet refuses to believe her own conclusion? Only Lana can act this way.’

By the ti Lana returned to her university, everything outwardly seed normal again.

She attended her classes as usual, sitting through lectures with a calm expression.

Over ti, she had learned a wide range of skills, survival techniques, physical training, and extensive knowledge about ghosts. She had even beco well-versed in history.

But that wasn’t all.

She had also been diligently practicing talisman-making.

Today, sothing felt different. After several attempts, countless failures, and imnse concentration...she finally succeeded.

Another perfect interdiate talisman.

Lana let out a slow breath, staring at the finished piece in her hand.

"It’s... done."

A small smile tugged at her lips, though exhaustion lingered in her eyes.

Honestly, there had been monts when she felt it would have been far easier to stick with beginner-level talismans.

Interdiate ones demanded significantly more energy, sharper focus, and precise control. A single mistake could ruin everything.

But she endured. Because the difference was worth it.

A basic exorcism talisman could handle ghosts ranging from ten to fifty years old. However, an interdiate talisman...

It could deal with spirits up to two hundred years old.

A massive leap.

As she examined her work more closely, her expression suddenly shifted. She was inford a new talisman has been unlocked.

Her eyes widened in shock.

A truth talisman.

She had never even imagined such a thing could exist.

She had seen talismans for bad luck, good luck, safety, speed, strength, and even temporary enhancent, but a talisman that could force truth?
