To the Golden Dragon, trapped in the Spiritual Shock, the minute or so felt as long as a century.
Although the phantom of the Nine-headed Demon Serpent was just a fleeting glimpse, its terrifying will was so potent that even a being as powerful as the Golden Dragon needed ti to break free.
Just then, the Golden Dragon, which had been lying motionless on the ground, shuddered violently. An instant later, a roar filled with boundless fury, like an erupting volcano, thundered across the entire battlefield!
"ROAR!"
Following the roar, it bellowed,
"You lowly worms! You... are courting death!!"
The Golden Dragon’s giant, golden eyes, once sowhat dazed, were now completely clear. In their place burned a tangible, raging fire.
To Raylo’s great surprise, it actually spoke in a human tongue. Its voice was sonorous and majestic, carrying the indisputable air of a king.
’It... It can talk?’
A flash of astonishnt went through Raylo’s mind.
However, the Golden Dragon clearly wasn’t giving anyone much ti to think.
It had been blindsided by the Demon Serpent Priest’s Spiritual Secret Technique, falling into a state of temporary ntal confusion. For a proud Giant Dragon, this was an utter humiliation.
Worse still, a swarm of ant-like Snake-n had dared to crawl onto its body, attempting to defile its noble form!
"Get off!"
The Golden Dragon roared, its massive body shaking violently. Then, its golden Dragon Wings, forged like steel, flapped hard!
"SPLAT! SPLAT!"
Like an autumn wind scattering fallen leaves, the dozen or so Snake-man Warriors on its body and surrounding it were sent flying by the imnse force before they could even scream. So exploded into a mist of blood mid-air, while others were flung dozens of ters away like broken sacks, landing with shattered bones and no signs of life.
In a single instant, all threats around it were swept clean.
The Golden Dragon shook its massive head, seemingly suffering from so lingering dizziness, but a towering rage had now fully taken hold.
It snapped its head up, its eyes burning with golden flas, and fixed its gaze on the Demon Serpent Priest battling the Starfall Knight on the hill.
"It was you, you vile insect, who dared to ambush this Knight!"
The Golden Dragon roared, its wings spreading wide as its colossal body once again took to the sky. This ti, it held nothing back.
Its massive maw snapped open. A torrent of golden Fla, thicker and more concentrated than any before, surged toward the hill ahead. It was like a beam of Divine Punishnt pouring down from the heavens, an unstoppable force.
This Fla was no longer just intense heat; it even contained a hint of the Power of Law. Space itself seed to distort wherever it passed.
The Demon Serpent Priest, already struggling against the Starfall Knight, suddenly felt a terrifying pressure descend from above, making its very soul tremble. It looked up in horror to see a boundless sea of golden fire dyeing the entire sky gold.
"No! Father God, save !"
The Demon Serpent Priest shrieked in despair, trying to activate the Power of the vertical pupil on its forehead again.
However, in the face of the Golden Dragon’s full-powered, rage-fueled attack, all its struggles were pale and futile.
The mont before the Dragon Breath descended, the Starfall Knight transford into a streak of blue starlight and was recalled to Raylo’s side, narrowly avoiding the blast.
"RUMBLE!"
The torrent of golden Fla precisely covered the entire hill, lasting for nearly a minute.
The terrifying heat lted rock and turned soil to glass. Under the horrifying Dragon Breath, it was as if the hill had been forcibly erased from the map.
When the Dragon Breath gradually dissipated, all that remained was a massive, scorched crater, wisps of black smoke curling into the air.
As for the Three-eyed Snake-man Priest, Evil Eye, along with the remaining Snake-man Warriors by its side, they had been instantly reduced to ash, leaving not a single trace of their existence.
With their leader utterly annihilated, the last remaining Snake-man Warriors on the battlefield finally broke.
They let out terrified hisses and, ignoring all orders, scattered in a panic like headless flies, their only thought to get as far away from the terrifying Golden Dragon as possible.
The Golden Dragon clearly had no intention of stopping. It let out a triumphant cry, spread its wings, and gave chase to the fleeing Snake-n.
Every dive, every swipe of its claws, and every burst of Dragon Breath claid the lives of a dozen Snake-n.
Sir Luke retracted his Iron Blood Domain, panting slightly.
Holding back the tide of Snake-n alone had taken a considerable toll on him.
He watched the Golden Dragon unleash its might in the distance, slaughtering the remaining Snake-n, a complex look in his eyes. The Golden Dragon’s Power was truly unfathomable.
Raylo also put away the Soul Horn as the figure of the Starfall Knight gradually faded, lting into the void.
A few monts later, the Golden Dragon seed to have finally vented its rage and ceased the pursuit.
It descended slowly from the sky, its massive body landing not far from Raylo and Luke, making the ground tremble.
The Golden Dragon lowered its head slightly, its golden, fla-wreathed eyes gazing at Raylo and Luke. The previous rage and fury had largely subsided, replaced by a look of scrutiny and... gratitude?
"Human Knights."
The Golden Dragon spoke in the human tongue again. Its voice was still sonorous, but with less pressure and more tranquility.
"Thank you for your aid in my ti of crisis. If you had not acted when you did, this Knight might truly have fallen to these despicable Snake-n today."
Luke said,
"You are too kind, Your Excellency. These Snake-n are our common enemy; we couldn’t just stand by and watch."
Raylo also spoke.
"It was a small effort on our part. It is our honor to fight alongside you, Your Excellency."
’This Golden Dragon can actually speak the human language,’ he mused inwardly. ’That’s quite rare.’
’If Moonlight and Coal Ball could learn to speak like the Golden Dragon, communication would be so much easier.’
Hearing this, the Golden Dragon nodded its huge head slightly.
It pondered for a mont, then with a flick of its claw, two items shimring with a magical aura appeared in its grasp.
"This Knight never remains indebted to others. I gift these two items to you both as a token of my gratitude."
With that, it gently placed the two items in front of Raylo and Luke.
Floating before Luke was a Kite Shield of ancient design.
The main body of the Shield was Dark Gold, its edges inlaid with a heavy black tal. The center of the Shield face was carved with the lifelike head of a roaring lion, exuding an aura as heavy as a mountain.
"This is the ’Lion King’s Guardian’."
The Golden Dragon explained.
"It is a spoil of war I collected long ago. Not only does it possess supre physical defense, but when its wielder takes a heavy blow, it will automatically trigger ’Earth Roar’ once, knocking back surrounding enemies and briefly stunning them. It should be a perfect fit for a valiant Knight such as yourself."
Even a Tier Five expert like Luke showed a flash of pleasant surprise in his eyes. He reached out and took the Shield. It was heavy in his hands, and a steady, imnse Power flowed from it.
