Floating before Raylo was a fist-sized, diamond-shaped crystal, as brilliant as golden fire. Inside, flowing golden flas seed to burn and leap, emitting astonishing waves of Fire Elent energy and a faint, almost imperceptible trace of Dragon Mighty.
Simply being near it, one could feel the imnse energy it contained.
"This Golden Fla Dragon Crystal is sothing I condensed from Dragon Breath Essence in a mont of leisure. Crushing it will instantly release a Dragon Breath with seventy percent of the power of my full-strength attack. At a critical mont, it could be the trump card that turns the tide of battle."
Raylo put away the Dragon Crystal, but he found himself even more curious about sothing else.
He couldn’t help but ask, "Forgive my presumption, Lord Golden Dragon, but how are you able to speak human language so fluently? As far as I know, most Giant Dragons, despite their superior intelligence, have great difficulty communicating with humans."
He thought of his own Moonlight. ’That little fellow is clever, but he’s a long way from being able to speak.’
Upon hearing this, a barely perceptible glint of pride flashed in the Golden Dragon’s enormous eyes.
"This is not a power of my own. I was once fortunate enough to acquire a wondrous, Half-Divine Artifact-grade item from an ancient ruin. It is called the Ten Thousand Language Treasure Pearl, and it allows to understand and speak the languages of nearly every intelligent race."
Raylo’s eyes widened in realization. ’So that’s how it is.’
He couldn’t help but beco deeply interested in this Ten Thousand Language Treasure Pearl. ’It’s basically the perfect translation tool.’
’If I could obtain a similar Treasure, communicating with Moonlight and Coal Ball would undoubtedly beco a hundred tis easier.’
However, he also understood that a Half-Divine Artifact of this grade was sothing one could only stumble upon, not actively seek. You couldn’t force such a thing.
"So it’s a Half-Divine Artifact. No wonder it’s so incredible."
Raylo said in awe.
Luke, listening from the side, also clicked his tongue in amazent.
"Understanding too much brings its own share of troubles."
The Golden Dragon remarked with a hint of lancholy.
Seeing that it had said what it needed to and had given its gift of thanks, the Golden Dragon did not linger. Its enormous wings slowly unfolded, kicking up a strong wind.
"My thanks to you both for what happened today."
The Golden Dragon let out a resounding roar, and with a powerful flap of its wings, its massive body shot into the sky, quickly vanishing over the horizon.
After the Golden Dragon’s departure, the entire swamp sank back into silence.
Raylo scanned his surroundings. The ground was littered with the corpses of Snake-n and various Swamp Magical Beasts.
The ferocity of the battle had surpassed his expectations. The Golden Dragon’s power was undeniable, but this Snake-man Evil Eye Legion was also an elite force; there were over a dozen bodies of just Tier Four Snake-n and Swamp Magical Beasts.
The Knights who had been lagging behind caught up.
They were stunned by the outco of the battle. After all, the chance to witness a contest between mbers of the Dragon Race was a once-in-a-lifeti opportunity.
"My lord, there’s a Tier Four Magic Core here!" a Knight exclaid, excitedly holding up a fist-sized purple crystal.
"There’s one over here, too!"
As the primary combatants, Raylo and Luke received the lion’s share of the loot.
Luke had little interest in most of the materials, only taking a few high-level Magic Items and several superior-quality Magic Cores.
Raylo himself claid six Tier Four Magic Cores, over a dozen Tier Three Magic Cores, and all sorts of valuable Magical Beast Materials.
In the afternoon, reports from the other two armies gradually ca in.
The First Army, led by the Count of Giant Stone, had annihilated one Snake-man Battle Group, while another, catching wind of their approach, had fled deep into the swamp.
The Third Army, led by Count Iron Pine and Count Remon, had successfully eliminated two Snake-man Battle Groups. They suffered minor losses and would rest for a day before returning.
With news from the other two armies, there was no longer any need for the Second Army to remain.
Gao Wen gave the order to return to Red Leaf City.
Three days later, the army returned to Red Leaf City.
After another two-day wait, the other armies had also reached Red Leaf City.
With the three armies converging on Red Leaf City, the city instantly burst into life.
rchants busied themselves buying the loot brought back by the armies, and the taverns were packed to the rafters. The Knights shed their heavy Armor and poured into the city’s pubs, venting the fatigue and tension from days of battle with ale, roasted at, and boisterous roars.

Two days passed in a flash, and the wave of revelry gradually subsided.
The Knights polished their Weapons and nded their Armor, while the rchants, fully satisfied, finished purchasing the mountains of loot.
「Dawn on the third day.」
The call of the rallying Horn echoed over Red Leaf City. An air of grim purpose replaced the boisterous revelry.
The rested, combined army filed slowly out of the city gates, beginning their march eastward.
Raylo rode on Baofeng’s back. The cool morning wind brushed against his cheeks, invigorating him.
Moonlight and Coal Ball were perched on his shoulders, one on the left and one on the right.
Raylo’s thoughts were on the latest intelligence reports.
