Lu Yuan stared at the Yin army before him. He had no intention of continuing the fight. He knew that no matter how many tis he killed them, the army would keep reviving, and they would beco stronger every revival.
Hence, when Jiang Ningxian appeared and called out to him, he rely released a wave of his aura. The shockwave forced the charging soldiers back. Then, in one step, he rose into the sky and followed behind her.
"Rember, don't fly too high," the young woman warned. "There are arrays within this city, and they'll attack you if you fly too high."
Clearly, she had done her howork. Otherwise, she wouldn't know of such things.
Lu Yuan could not help but smile. "It seems Miss Jiang got here before I did."
He had just encountered the Yin army and had yet to explore the city. However, Jiang Ningxian already had a certain understanding of this place.
In his eyes, Jiang Ningxian had always seed like the definition of composure, but for so reason, she appeared restless. At the very least, she was not nearly as composed as he had assud.
"I'm not sure myself," Jiang Ningxian replied, her expression grave. "This place is unusual. Ti flows differently in certain areas. In fact, I've already been here for an entire day."
Space laws were sothing only Great Sages could begin to comprehend. The laws of ti, anwhile, could only be controlled by Immortals or those beyond that realm.
Neither concept fazed her particularly, as the Jiang Clan had elders who wielded such powers. What truly astonished her was that this single space contained so many different laws layered together.
The Milky Way Starfield was extraordinary indeed.
An entire day? Lu Yuan's eyes flickered with surprise. This city appeared vast, but in reality, it wasn't that huge. Despite that, the city's ti seed distorted in more than just one place.
Lu Yuan turned to Jiang Ningxian and exchanged information.
Mount Kunlun's secret realm was a wondrous place containing unknown dangers, and he had to learn more about it as soon as possible.
Jiang Ningxian held nothing back. She explained that she, too, had been transported outside the city and eventually made her way inside the city. She also revealed the na of the city—Yanluo City.
Yanluo City? Lu Yuan was even more astonished. As far as he could rember, the words above the gate earlier read, "City of the Wrongfully Dead," instead of "Yanluo City."
Could it be that every individual would see sothing different? However, there was clearly only one city.
Jiang Ningxian heard his account and was equally shocked.
"It seems whoever created this secret realm was an extrely powerful being. They must be an Immortal, at the very least, as they rged multiple spaces into one. It's a terrifying feat that only those few living fossils in my clan can possibly accomplish.
"On top of that, many different places in the city have their own, unique ti laws," Jiang Ningxian said out loud. She analyzed the surroundings as they went, obtaining a deeper understanding of the city.
The more she learned about the city, however, the more alard she beca.
"It seems we have to go into the city's depths if we want to uncover its secrets," Lu Yuan remarked.
I wonder what's going on with that part of the city that resembles the Celestial Court, Lu Yuan thought while gazing into the distance. He knew that one of Huaxia's Nine Tripod Cauldrons, the Yongzhou Cauldron, was hidden sowhere within, but its exact location remained a mystery even to him.
"Correct, but let's not provoke those Yin soldiers. They're far too troubleso to handle," Jiang Ningxian said, turning toward him before adding, "I know you have the Ghost Seal, and I know that it once helped you reach the deepest part of the Mausoleum at Mount Li.
"However, that thing won't work here. This place isn't bound by the sa restrictions, after all."
Lu Yuan frowned slightly. That was actually his plan. Of course, it was no surprise that she knew about it. In fact, Lu Yuan believed that she had long been aware of what he had done at the Mausoleum as well as that small cauldron.
"So there's truly no other way to deal with those Yin soldiers?" he asked, but he instinctively felt that there was a way to handle them. After all, the soldiers were once part of a formidable army that had once marched to war.
Just like at Mount Li, there had to be a way to control them. He simply didn't know it yet.
"There is a way, but it's difficult, and it has many prerequisites," Jiang Ningxian remarked. Just as she was about to say more, she frowned and looked in another direction.
Lu Yuan sensed it, too. Not far away, other people were present. Without another word, the two of them headed toward those people.
Sure enough, they spotted a group of Earth's Awakened in the distance after just a few minutes of travel.
The Awakened were surrounded by the Yin army and were fighting desperately to break free. However, there were just too many Yin soldiers. The group was being overwheld, and there were already casualties among them.
Without a word, Lu Yuan stepped forward and unleashed his might.
The Great Sun's Furnace manifested into existence, radiating a terrifying aura that swept toward the Yin soldiers like a tidal wave.
The Yin soldiers fell in droves. The group of people stared in shock at the sudden collapse of the Yin soldiers. When they noticed Lu Yuan, however, their faces lit up with joy.
"It's King Lu!"
"King Lu saved us!"
"Thank you for helping us, King Lu! We owe you our lives!"
"This place has great opportunities to be claid, but it is a dangerous place," Lu Yuan said calmly. "You guys should prioritize your lives and leave."
Of course, he had another reason for rescuing them.
He wanted to ask about the whereabouts of the Spirit Monkey and the other beast kings. This city posed no overwhelming threat, but the Yin army was far too troubleso to handle.
The Awakened expressed their thanks and answered his questions, but none of them had any useful information. However, one of them ntioned that Zhou Yunqiong and her people had headed straight for the other half of the city.
With that information in hand, the two continued their journey into the city's depths.
"So Zhou Yunqiong is here, after all. Not surprising," Jiang Ningxian said with a faint smile, glancing at Lu Yuan. "Or perhaps she ca specifically for you, King Lu."
She was familiar with the history and grievances between the two. After the death of Winged Celestial God, the two had beco bitter enemies, which was why she had stated that perhaps Zhou Yunqiong had co here for Lu Yuan.
"If I end up seeing her, then I guess I should settle things between us," Lu Yuan replied calmly. He knew full well that Zhou Yunqiong harbored grand ambitions. If she remained alive, she would beco an unpredictable variable in the future.
Moreover, she had already made a move against him, so he had no intention of letting her go.
"I wonder if you will be able to go through with it when the ti cos. And as for the people behind that woman—" Jiang Ningxian stopped speaking when Lu Yuan suddenly ca to a halt with faint streams of light seeping out of his eyes.
The Martial Dao Heavenly Eyes? He had actually awakened the Martial Dao Heavenly Eyes? The young woman was stunned.
The Martial Dao Heavenly Eyes was one of the most difficult innate talents to unlock, and even Sages struggled to unlock it.
Of course, she did not dwell on the thought for long, as she also sensed that sothing was wrong.
The city was transforming; it was like yin and yang were being inverted!
