A few hours earlier, before Kai and his team arrived at the Haven-28 shelter, Victor had been busy with his own task.
Apparently, after the Surveillance Sweep Event, it had been decided that he would be the one to learn the blueprint once it was completed.
Because of that, everyone handed over their fragnts. Ten pieces were required, but they had managed to gather more than that...
Still, with the ten complete fragnts, they were able to obtain a complete blueprint...
Since Victor had chanical talent, it was decided that he would be the one to learn this precious device blueprint. He had the hands and the mind for it anyway...
Victor held the fragnts tightly. The system prompt appeared before him...
[ Do you want to learn the Blueprint? ]
[ Warning: Learning this Blueprint will consu the item. Once learned, you will permanently gain the ability to build the Advanced Barrier System Generator, even without prior forging knowledge. ]
[ Note: Items built directly by you will retain system effects. Copies made by ordinary craftsn will not inherit the additional system effects. ]
Victor didn’t hesitate. "Yes," he said firmly.
The fragnts dissolved into light, rging into his mind. Knowledge flooded him instantly. He now understood the design, the structure, and the materials needed. It was as if he had studied the blueprint for years.
He exhaled slowly. "I know how to build it."
The Guild gathered around him, curious. Victor opened the system window again, listing the required materials. His eyes scanned the list carefully.
First was the Barrier Core Stabilizer, a vital piece that would keep the generator’s energy flow steady. Without it, the barrier would collapse under its own power.
Next were the Core Parts, intricate chanical components that would form the skeleton of the generator. These were rare and difficult to craft, but they had already salvaged so from fallen machines.
Then ca the energy requirents: 50 C‑Grade Cores and 5 B‑Grade Cores. Victor frowned slightly. "That’s a lot of cores," he muttered. "But it makes sense. The barrier will need imnse power to function."
Finally, the most important piece... the Tyrant Furnace. This was the heart of the generator, the device that would refine and channel the cores into usable energy.
Without it, the generator couldn’t even start.
"Thankfully, we already have the furnace. We recycled it after defeating several Tyrant Units before... That battle wasn’t for nothing."
The Guild mbers nodded.
They rembered the fight well, the towering Field Tyrant, with their heavy armor, and the chaos they had caused.
Defeating them hadn’t been that easy, but now, their remains were proving useful.
Victor continued to study the blueprint. "We’ll need to assemble the stabilizer, attach the core parts, and feed the furnace with the cores. Once it’s complete, the generator will activate and create a barrier strong enough to withstand waves of chanical soldiers."
"How long will it take?" Wallace asked.
Victor thought for a mont. "If we have all the materials ready, in a few days. But gathering the cores will be the hardest part. Fifty C‑Grade and five B‑Grade... That’s no small task."
Wallace grinned. "Then we’ll just have to hunt more machines."
Victor smiled faintly...
With the Advanced Barrier System Generator, Haven-45, and the Freedom Shelter could beco nearly untouchable.
Victor clenched his fists. "We’ll build it. No matter what."
The others nodded in agreent. The path ahead was dangerous, but now they had a clear goal...
Thanks to that, Victor began working on the smaller parts of the machine, and he had been very busy ever since.
In fact, during the Global Event, their artillery had been damaged and was in need of repairs. However, because his priority was fully focused on the Barrier Generator, the artillery was left unattended for the ti being.

Another week quickly passed.
During this ti, Haven‑28 had stabilized as Kai and i stayed behind to ensure its safety.
Claire and the others had already returned to Freedom Shelter and Haven‑45 Shelter, keeping the network of survivors strong.
The week wasn’t without danger.
Sentinels, Swarrs, and other chanical threats attacked from ti to ti, but they always ca in small numbers. Each raid was quickly dealt with, leaving no serious damage.
anwhile, the survivors reinforced their base.
Under Aurora’s careful guidance, the crop fields had improved greatly. The soil was healthier, the plants were stronger, and the yield was already showing signs of growth.
Food security was slowly becoming less of a worry.
Still, one Guild Mission remained incomplete.
They were tasked with recruiting a total of fifteen mbers, but the foreign survivors here numbered only twelve. It was not enough to finish the mission...
Yet, during this week, sothing remarkable happened.
"I did it!"
Elena, the nurse from Earth who had awakened a Master‑Grade Artisan Talent after entering this apocalypse, finally completed her work on the golden bull’s horn.
This bull had previously caused so trouble for them and later beca food for everyone, which gave a huge boost in Spirit Recovery and others.
Elena could still rember how the other bulls may have been corrupted at that ti, but this golden bull was different...
In any case, she had spent days studying the golden bull’s horn, testing its durability, and shaping it precisely how he wanted.
The golden horn was unlike anything she had ever handled before. It glowed faintly, carrying traces of spiritual energy.
With her Artisan Talent guiding her hands, Elena had carved, polished, and reforged it into sothing extraordinary.
Of course, she only used a small part of it as she felt that many Survivors must benefit from this horn. Furthermore, she was also afraid of making mistakes.
At last, the system window appeared before her eyes...
[ Crafting Complete! ]
[ 50 Experience Points ]
The fifty experience points were a great bonus reward, so Elena felt better. Of course, she was also expecting to craft sothing nice with such a reward.
Thankfully, she wasn’t wrong.
[ Item Created: Golden Horn Pendant ]
[ Grade: B ]
[ Effect: Increases wearer’s Spirit recovery speed by 15%. Slightly enhances resistance against ntal fatigue. ]
[ Additional Effect: Emits a faint aura that calms nearby allies, reducing stress and fear during battle. ]
Elena gasped, her hands trembling as she held the pendant.
"I... I made sothing so amazing..." she whispered, her voice filled with joy.
Furthermore, with the size of her pendant, she believed that she could create 30 more of these with the golden horns left!
