Thud! Thud! Thud!
The bullets dissolved into sparks, and not a single projectile managed to pass through it!
"How is this possible?" Renji couldn’t believe such a thing existed.
Soon, the Dragoons circled overhead, searching for a weakness in the barrier deployed.
He had been expecting the defenders to panic, but they were actually strong enough to stop the advance... It was no wonder they survived the Global Events that had been done so far!
Then, what happened next left him stunned.
From the main building, five massive figures erged. They were modified Sentinels! There he saw the painted nas on their chests.
They seed to be called X‑02 through X‑06...
Renji watched as their eyes glowed while marching forward... Each of them was equipped with a familiar plasma rifles.
Without hesitation, they raised their weapons and unleashed streams of searing energy into the sky.
The beams tore through the night, striking the Dragoons perfect! Their accuracy couldn’t be compared to humans at all!
Renji couldn’t help but feel excited after seeing this.
’They actually reprogramd Sentinels... and ard them with plasma rifles?’
He thought that he was special. He had Android 9 and 18 on his side, and he was lucky to be able to control them after fixing them in the junkyard.
However, this shelter proved him wrong.
Soon, he watched as the defenders of the shelter joined in!
Survivors lined the walls, rifles in hand, firing organized bursts at the incoming riders!
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Their shots were all calculated, aid to suppress and weaken the enemy formations.
Renji could tell that they had practiced a lot! They must have a huge supply of ammunition that allowed them to be familiar with such a strategy.
"Just how rich is this shelter anyway? Everyone has a rifle... They’re not caring about having empty magazines... They have this barrier and the Modified Sentinels. Seriously..."
Then Renji noticed sothing even more remarkable.
Across the periter, survivors deployed compact devices!
Apparently, they were portable disruptor field units.
Whom~
A strange blast of energy ca out from each of them!
At first, the Dragoons seed unaffected, their systems compensating for the interference. But as dozens of disruptors activated simultaneously, the effect multiplied.
The sky filled with static.
The Dragoons’ signals halted... Engines started failing, and just like that, one by one, the machines began to lose control.
Renji’s eyes widened as the aerial units wobbled, then plumted.
Crash! Crash! Crash!
The Dragoons slamd into the ground with their riders thrown violently from their seats...
Sparks erupted as circuits overloaded, leaving the once‑fearso machines twitching helplessly in the dirt!
Renji scanned the battlefield...
This shelter was just too weird. Before this, he had been expecting the survivors to fight against the A.I. Army with various gene skills.
He believed that they would actually unleash mystical powers like fireballs, telekinesis, beast summons, and more... but none ca.
There was no magical Gene Skills here, no supernatural tricks. Everything was achieved through advanced technology and combat tactics!
The plasma rifles, the disruptor fields, the reprogramd Sentinels... all of it played a huge role!
And just like that, the battle was won.
Renji exhaled slowly, his heart pounding... Finally, he understood why these people seed unafraid of anything.
"They don’t need mystical powers, huh..." he whispered.
"They have the strength... the technology... to fight back."
Just like that, he watched the defenders stand tall, as they rested for a bit before helping the Modified Sentinels collect the wreckage...
Renji’s disbelief turned into awe.
This shelter was thriving, ard with the kind of power that could challenge the A.I. Army head‑on.

anwhile, as the wreckage of the Dragoons was being cleared, one figure remained unnoticed in the chaos.
A lone A.I. Army’s Sentinel has been scouting the shelter from a distance.
When its allies fell, the machine did not engage further. Instead, it began to back away slowly, retreating into the night.
But as soon as it moved away, two more figures slowly moved.
It was Augustine and Russel, the scouts of New Haven‑45.
Equipped with advanced camouflage gear from Kai’s Superior Grade Stealth Gift Pack, their outlines blurred into the shadows, allowing them to move unseen.
They exchanged a quick glance... this was their chance. If they could follow the Sentinel, they might finally uncover the location of the A.I. Army’s base in this region.
They moved silently, keeping their distance as the Sentinel retreated.
The machine’s movents were fast, but cautious, as if aware it was being watched.
Yet Augustine and Russel’s gear held, masking their heat signatures and muffling their steps.
Hours passed as they trailed the Sentinel across rugged terrain...
Finally, the machine ascended a narrow path that wound up a mountain.
At the summit, a villa ca into view... It was an elegant structure that seed out of place in the war‑torn landscape.
Russel frowned beneath his visor.
"A villa? That doesn’t make sense. Why would the A.I. Army use this as a base?"
Augustine was also curious. "Look closer."
As they observed, several Spyder Units crawled out from the villa’s gates, their chanical legs clicking against the stone.
The units dispersed quickly, scuttling down the mountain in different directions.
Russel was shocked. "Wait... They’re deploying scouts... from here?"
The realization struck them both at once. The villa was not the true base... it was a front, a disguise ant to mislead. The mountain itself seed to be the base itself!
Beneath its surface, away from the eyes of the public, lay the real operations of the A.I. Army!
Augustine whispered, "This isn’t just a villa. The entire mountain is a camouflage base."
They watched as the Sentinel entered the villa, disappearing behind its gates...
Soon, the Spyder Units continued to pour out... The scale of the operation was staggering!
Russel tightened his grip on his rifle.
"We can’t attack this. Not with our current force. But knowing the location... the distance... the scale of their operations... it changes everything."
Augustine nodded grimly. "We’ll report back. Kai needs to know about this place... This mountain isn’t just a stronghold... It’s a fortress hidden in plain sight."
