"Don't, don't."
The two n shook their heads repeatedly. "We have already surrendered to the God Clan. Naturally, we are wholeheartedly serving the God Clan. We wouldn't dare harbor the slightest disloyalty."
"Oh, spare . Don't try to fool with that."
Fang Heng snorted coldly. At the sa ti, his aura suddenly shifted, revealing a surge of deathly aura.
Gareth looked at Fang Heng in shock, watching with his own eyes as Fang Heng's physique and face rapidly changed, returning to the appearance of an ordinary human.
A deathly aura!?
He wasn't from the God Clan?
The two of them were filled with doubt and alarm.
"Who are you?"
"So much ti has passed. The outside world has long since changed. Although the Netherworld was sealed, there were still other passages into it. Naturally, there were other ways to grasp the power of the Netherworld."
Fang Heng withdrew his aura and said calmly, "Just treat as an inheritor of the Netherworld's power. I have a grudge against the God Clan. If I can cause them a bit of trouble, I'll be very happy."
"Well? The God Clan cannot seal the Netherworld forever. Have you never thought of resisting? I might be able to help you."
"Gulp..."
Gareth swallowed.
The information was too much and too shocking. They needed ti to digest it.
Moreover, they could not fully trust Fang Heng's identity.
Soone could sneak into the divine realm?
Impossible!
They all clearly understood the strength of the God Clan.
Perhaps this was a test from the God Clan?
If they failed the test, they and their clansn would all be implicated.
"What? Don't believe ?"
"Even if we believe you, so what?" Gareth sighed and shook his head. "Holy seals were placed on us. Once we leave this place, the God Clan will discover us. We can't help you."
"That's not necessarily true. I have the ability to remove your imprints."
Fang Heng condensed an imprint before him with both hands, leaving vampire tracking imprints on the two of them. He continued, "No rush. You can think it over carefully. Don't ntion today's eting with to anyone. I'll co find you again."
"Wait!"
When Garrett saw Fang Heng about to leave, he hurriedly called out to stop him.
"What is it?"
"If you want us to trust you, you need to show us sothing."
Gareth's heart skipped a beat. Realizing what Garrett intended to do, he quickly tried to stop his brother, signaling with his eyes that Fang Heng might not be reliable and telling him not to act impulsively, "Brother."
"Enough, Gareth. It was the God Clan who first broke their promise! They said they would allow us to continue living in the Netherworld. But what happened? After the Nether Emperor was imprisoned, they drove us all out of our holand!"
"I have been waiting for an opportunity all these years. After so many years, I finally saw a glimr of hope. I want to take a gamble!"
As Garrett spoke, he pushed Gareth aside and looked at Fang Heng. "I don't care who you are. I need you to give proof."
"What proof?"
"The Nether Emperor!"
Garrett looked at Fang Heng and said in a deep voice, "If you can obtain the Nether Emperor's recognition, not only us, but the entire Dark Clan will trust you unconditionally. Whatever you do, we will fully support you."
Fang Heng imdiately grew interested and asked, "So where is the Nether Emperor?"
"We don't know. We only know that back then, the Nether Emperor reached an agreent with the God Clan. He sealed his own power and accepted imprisonnt by the God Clan. We can be certain he is still in the divine realm, and he is still alive."
Fang Heng shrugged, thinking to himself that these two weren't ssing with him, were they?
The divine realm was entirely the territory of the God Clan. Where was he supposed to find the Nether Emperor? Not to ntion finding a way to make contact and earn his trust.
Any one of those three tasks alone would be extrely troubleso.
Forget it.
No need to rush.
His current strength was still insufficient. It wasn't yet ti to truly confront the God Clan.
The Dark Clan could serve as a hidden piece. Perhaps in the future, he could borrow the Dark Clan's strength to deal with the God Clan together.
For now, he would set it aside, treating it as a side mission.
"I understand. I will inquire about the Nether Emperor. Wait for my news."
"Good!"
The two brothers looked at each other and nodded lightly, then transford into wisps of deathly aura and slowly dissipated into the air.
...
Temple.
More than half an hour later, Ethan was the first to wake up.
He stood up alertly and imdiately saw everyone lying scattered across the ground. Only Fang Heng sat cross-legged with his eyes closed. Ethan's heart skipped a beat. "Zane?"
Fang Heng opened his eyes and nodded. "You're awake. I also just woke up. When I woke, the dark core had already disappeared."
"Disappeared?" Ethan looked around warily at the surrounding darkness. "So the trial ended? We failed?"
"I don't know. But we haven't left the temple, and the stone tablet is still here."
Fang Heng gestured toward the central stone tablet and said, "I suspect that final move might have been part of the trial, to see the extent we could endure. Overall, I think we probably passed the trial."
"Mm."
Ethan thought it over carefully and felt Fang Heng's words made sense.
If they had failed the trial, they should have already been sent back to the Faith God Court.
Ethan turned to look at the trial stone tablet again and asked, "No one touched the trial stone tablet?"
Fang Heng understood what Ethan ant. "You're the captain. I think you're more suitable for it."
Ethan looked at Fang Heng and nodded. "Thank you."
"Aren't you going?"
"No rush. Let them wake up first."
Soon, the God Clan trial participants who had been knocked unconscious by the deathly shock gradually woke up.
After listening to Fang Heng and Ethan's explanation, everyone gradually understood the situation.
Gu Er had suffered a heavy loss and was no longer as arrogant as before. Looking at Ethan, he said, "Give it a try, Ethan. If you can still bind with the stone tablet, then our guess is correct. We passed the assessnt."
"Mm, alright."
Ethan's expression turned solemn as he slowly stepped forward, placed his hand on the stone tablet, and infused it with his ntal strength.
Imdiately, the stone tablet emitted strands of dark golden light.
Ethan also closed his eyes at once, sensing the changes within his sea of consciousness.
"Well?"
"Mm, it worked."
Ethan opened his eyes and nodded, unable to suppress the excitent in his gaze.
"Haha," Gu Er, completely relaxed, burst into laughter. "I said it. There was no way we could block that final move."
"Gu Er, mind your words," the tall God Clan mber Matthias in the team shook his head. "In my opinion, we were probably too excited. The trial was likely ant to teach us a lesson."
"Let's go. The trial is over. Let's return and register with the examiner first."
Fang Heng gave one last glance at the temple's shadows before leaving with the noisy team.
