But when he thought of the Counterasures Bureau, Lince couldn’t help but smile.

He then sent another ssage to Insomnia and Rain.

Anonymous: "Regarding the top-rated comnt on the linked video, what are your thoughts? Do you think this business about a Demon Hunter Professional legion is feasible?"

After sending the ssage, Lince waited for a full three minutes.

Insomnia and Rain: "Chief, regarding this matter, our stance is simple: if you think it’s possible, then it is. The entire Counterasures Bureau will give you its full support. Of course, if you think it isn’t, all of us at the Bureau will have no objections either. We only hope that you can see our sincerity."

Lince couldn’t help but smile inwardly as he read the ssage.

So things were better left unsaid. A mutual understanding was what mattered.

Thus, Lince sent another ssage.

Anonymous: "Then, I look forward to our cooperation."

Insomnia and Rain: "We look forward to it as well, Chief. The entire Counterasures Bureau extends its respects to you."

Anonymous: "In that case, as a show of your sincerity, could you tell one last thing? How many Players on the Karte Continent are currently under the direct command of the Counterasures Bureau?"

「One minute later.」

Insomnia and Rain: "For your information, Chief, out of the 48,000-plus surviving Players in the Karte World, the Counterasures Bureau has recruited approximately thirty percent."

With the conversation over, Lince closed the private chat window.

’Thirty percent? That should be a much higher proportion than they had of the first wave of Players.’

’I don’t know if that number is inflated, but it probably isn’t too far off. After all, in a ga like this, there are definitely plenty of Players who choose to wait for a better offer instead of committing right away. The benefits of joining the Counterasures Bureau at the beginning are completely different from joining after you’ve already beco powerful.’

Lince mulled over the Counterasures Bureau’s situation and smiled again.

’This isn’t a bad situation at all. Even Players from the Counterasures Bureau can be poached, can’t they?’

’Siding with the Counterasures Bureau versus siding with the Chief... it doesn’t take much thought to figure out which is the better deal.’

’Not to ntion, on the Karte Continent, if not seventy percent, then at least fifty percent of the Players are unaffiliated.’

The Counterasures Bureau was, after all, an official organization.

Lince had never considered whether it was good or bad, as such distinctions were aningless.

New king, new court. As long as they could cooperate, there was no need to dig too deep into certain issues.

For now, at least, Lince’s relationship with the Counterasures Bureau was amicable, and he was the one holding the initiative. So, he might as well cooperate with them, perhaps even lend them a hand and see how things played out.

After all, even if he didn’t think about it now, Lince would eventually have to secure a stable rear base of support.

With that, Lince thought for a mont before extending his stay at the Ice River City hotel for another week.

Having done all this, Lince decided not to waste any more ti.

He imdiately began his Consciousness Descent into Dawn City once more.

This ti, right after his Descent, Lince had planned to summon the two Players from Dawn City for a little chat.

However, as soon as he arrived, Lince was t with a pleasant surprise.

[Congratulations. Five direct-line heirs have been born to your Vassal, the Smith family. The family function "Bountiful Offspring" has been upgraded to Level 2.]

(Bountiful Offspring Level 2: Fertility Rate 10%, Extraordinary Bloodline Awakening 10%, Potential 10%)

(Next upgrade requirent for this buff: The Player’s Vassal Clans must have a total of 15 direct-line blood heirs.)

[As your Vassal family’s direct-line bloodline has reached five mbers, the Patriarch has been promoted to Middle Tier, and the family function "Bloodline Enhancent" has transford.]

[Bloodline Enhancent (Middle): Once per year, the Player may directly promote the Bloodline of a direct-line heir of a Vassal family. A Low Tier Bloodline can be directly promoted to a Middle Tier Bloodline of the sa Attribute.]

If not for the system notification, Lince would have almost forgotten about the Smith family’s buff panel.

This was the sixth day of his playthrough. By his calculations, nearly six years had passed in the Ga World.

Furthermore, York was now thirty years old.

In the real world, that was middle age—an age when one would start to go downhill.

But thankfully, in an Extraordinary world, York was now in his pri.

Two family functions upgraded.

It wasn’t a huge surprise, but every little bit counted.

To be honest, the family of his ’Pet,’ York, didn’t offer Lince much in terms of actual combat Power at the mont.

But since the True Ga had established this as a core chanic, York’s role was certainly not insignificant. It might not be apparent now, but that didn’t an it wouldn’t be in the future. Even if a Dragon God didn’t need faith, there were bound to be so ga rules and systems involved.

At the sa ti, looking at it from another angle, his Pet’s role as part of the Human Race was also undeniably important in the grand sche of things.

They were crucial for occupying and claiming territory, and even for the eventual founding of a nation centered around him as the ’Dragon God.’

Humans have a better grasp of order and rules than Demon Beasts.

Of course, Lince didn’t deny the usefulness of Demon Beasts or the great help they currently provided.

Therefore, he had always planned on eventually uniting the Human Race and Demon Beasts.

He would create his own unique faction.

The Human Alliance in the real world could chant the slogan "all n are created equal."

So, Lince could naturally have his own: "all Intelligent Creatures are equal."

But Lince wasn’t going to worry about that for now.

First, he had to conquer a large enough territory and gather enough Intelligent Creatures under his command.

’Maybe I’ll set a small goal first? Conquer a world, then have York establish a nation?’

Lince chuckled. He’d deal with the future when it ca.

For the mont, Lince set aside the matter of the family panel upgrades.

After all, even though York had five heirs, the eldest was still ten years from adulthood.

It wasn’t yet ti for the Smith family to truly unleash its Potential.

’Besides, York is a Dragon Descendant now. He should be putting the Dragon Race’s powerful fertility to good use!’

’His greatest responsibility right now is to hurry up and have more children.’

Lince felt it was ti for him to show so ’fatherly’ concern for York again.

’Dawn City is already established. He should hurry up and take on a dozen or so mistresses.’

’Though Lince himself was still single, of course.’

Lince couldn’t help but let out a wry smile at the thought.

Then, Lince got down to business.

From the Player video, Lince already knew the in-ga nas and appearances of the two Players in Dawn City.

So, he imdiately instructed York to go to the Slave Camp and bring them to the Divine Hall.

No explanation was necessary.

In less than an hour, York had swiftly carried out Lince’s Oracle.

Then, in the main hall of the Divine Hall, which was filled with Magic Crystals, Lince saw the two Players.

But to Lince’s dismay, the two of them were Players through and through. The mont they saw him, they left him utterly speechless.

"HOLY SHIT!!!"

"BOSS CHIEF!!! You finally ca for us!!! WAAAHH, we’ve had it so rough all this ti!!!"

"BOSS!!! BOSS, CARRY US, PLEASE!!!"

The Player ’Wo Xi’ looked up at the terrifying Giant Dragon. Though he was stunned at first, he imdiately dropped into a sliding kneel with a THUD.

He had absolutely no sha.

Even if this wasn’t an intentional attempt to clown around and curry favor, Lince was not a fan of this kind of behavior.

So, faced with a scene like this, it was a wonder Lince could keep a straight face at all.

’Are there any reliable Players at all?’

However, at the sa ti, Lince seed to discover a common trait among Players.

They weren’t intimidated by the aura of a High Tier being, or even by his Dragon Might. It was as if the True Ga had given them a natural resistance to such pressures.

Lince couldn’t see a hint of fear or trembling in either of them.

’Is it because we’re all Players?’

Lince looked down at the Player ’Wo Xi,’ who was as skinny as a monkey, and pondered.

anwhile, the other Player was in much better shape.

It was a small comfort to Lince, at least.

"May I ask what instructions you have for summoning us, Chief?"

"If there is anything we can do, we will do our best to cooperate! Please give us your orders, Chief."

The Player ’Hammond,’ though also quite thin, carried himself with the deanor of a seasoned professional.

This was the kind of person Lince needed.

He understood the chain of command and showed a proactive desire to align himself, rather than just acting like a fool to get attention.

Therefore, Lince imdiately turned his gaze to Hammond and slowly began to explain his plan to form a legion of ’Demon Hunter Professionals.’
