"Wandering the Star Sea alone, with no ho and nowhere to go, is truly agonizing for an intelligent being."
"Especially for beings like us, Ancient Life, finding an equal with whom you can speak frankly is often an impossible luxury."
"Alright, then."
"I’ll take you in!"
As soon as Lince’s words fell.
The next mont, the giant serpent Kukudar instantly began to wag its tail in excitent!
This scene, of course, was noticed by the surrounding Deities.
"Really?"
"This is wonderful!!!"
"Thank you! Thank you so much, Nig Hog!"
"I... I... I’ll behave myself from now on. I promise I won’t cause you any trouble."
Lince just smiled faintly in response.
"You don’t need to worry about causing trouble."
"Let’s just say I have a soft spot for a simple soul like you—one whose perspective can still be reshaped. I want to give you a second ho, a place where you can finally rest your feet."
"Of course, when I need you on the battlefield, I won’t be so soft."
"And as for nas, since we’re to be friends..."
"You can just call by my na, and I’ll do the sa for you."
For Lince, recruiting the giant serpent Kukudar ca with enormous benefits.
After all, besides himself, the entire Star Empire would finally have another one of the Ancient Deities.
This would not only strengthen their foundation by a huge margin, but it also ant they would finally have a truly formidable power to deploy when facing other strong civilizations.
After all, it would be beneath him if Lince had to personally participate in every single war.
As for Kukudar...
He wasn’t thinking about any of that.
In his eyes, the lesser beings, and even the Star Empire itself, were barely worth his notice.
What he craved was never recognition from weak, insignificant beings.
Their lives were trivial; he could take a single nap, and countless generations of them would live and die.
Even their so-called gods were rely gods of lesser beings. They might be immortal, but to an existence like him, they were nothing special.
It was difficult for them to find any common ground or empathy.
Besides, he had been betrayed by the Deities of lesser beings in the past.
So now, whenever he saw the gods of lesser beings, he couldn’t help but be reminded of the past.
That was why, deep down, he could never accept Deities who were not Ancient Life.
He could pity the weak, but they could offer him no comfort or salvation. Instead, they only grated on his already raw nerves.
The only friendship he truly craved was genuine recognition from an equal!
Clearly, after suffering so many betrayals and destroying his own planet, the holess Kukudar was emotionally fragile.
He was, in essence, an Ancient Deity who possessed imnse Power but was incredibly weak at heart.
One could only imagine what Lince’s acceptance ant to him. It was, without a doubt, a form of spiritual salvation.
This was the refuge he had always craved deep down—a place where he could truly belong.
This refuge wasn’t a "ho" in the literal sense; it was the acceptance of an equal.
As long as an equal accepted him, anywhere could be ho.
Kukudar was overco with emotion.
His enormous pupils even seed to well up with tears.
How should one put it?
The big fellow had clearly gotten lost in a self-indulgent fantasy of his own salvation.
"Yes! Yes, Nigredo!"
The creature was so flustered with excitent that he didn’t know what to do or say.
Seeing such a massive creature act so childishly...
How should one put it?
Lince couldn’t help but marvel at the vastness of the Cosmos, where all sorts of bizarre things could happen.
Here was a perfectly good, powerful Ancient Life.
’If he were just a bit sharper, or even a little more evil and chaotic, his strength would have been more than enough.’
’He wouldn’t be dwelling on all this nonsense.’
’But Kukudar?’
’You couldn’t say he was brainless; he’d clearly shown so cunning before.’
’But the creature wasn’t evil or chaotic enough.’
’It was rare enough that he didn’t fall to darkness even after destroying his own ho world.’
’And afterward, he even developed a rational mind and emotional thoughts.’
’It was all so surprisingly and lantably strange.’
In any case, Kukudar couldn’t be considered a creature of the Chaotic Evil alignnt.
’And, if I guide his thinking in the future, I can mold him into a Lawful Good, Lawful Neutral, or even a Lawful Evil being.’
’This is a huge gain.’
And so, Lince gave a slight nod to the giant serpent Kukudar before him.
He said no more.
’Best to let the big fellow calm himself down for a mont.’
So, Lince’s gaze quickly swept across the Star Sea.
His eyes then fell upon the Deities!
The Deities, at this mont, had no idea what had just transpired.
But in the next instant, no matter where they were, they were montarily stunned to find themselves appearing beneath the Giant Dragon!
Lince’s control over Space Power had grown ever stronger.
With Mind Manipulation, a re flicker of his will, even Main God Level Deities couldn’t clearly perceive his Power, let alone resist it.
"This—!"
Suddenly finding themselves beneath the terrifying Giant Dragon, most of the Deities were stunned for only a mont before they recovered.
At this mont, standing beneath the colossal body of Lince’s Giant Dragon form, the feeling was in no way inferior to the profound sense of smallness Lince himself felt when facing the Sun.
"Greetings, Chief!"
