"A more powerful human than ? Haha... Are you talking about that undying half-dragon freak outside? Or the cunning descendant of the very human who sealed for two thousand years? Just them? They’ll never defeat ! Cole, I didn’t think you’d beco more foolish over the years! You disappoint ! I’ll give you one last chance to reconsider!"
The Demon King responded full of arrogance and madness, expressing its disbelief that such a person could exist in this world. The troubleso individuals it has encountered were due to its lack of preparation. Once it regains its forr armants and summons thousands of followers, all blocking its path will be easily destroyed!
However, the colossal dragon in the sea of magma seed unimpressed by these words. It kept most of its body hidden in the bubbling magma, raising its massive head to speak to the Demon King:
"The human I speak of is not those you ntion! His power far exceeds theirs! If you haven’t t him yet, I suggest you hurry back to the underworld and hide! Otherwise, that guy will surely co for you! He has asked about your whereabouts before and can’t wait to see you fall!"
"Hohoho! Absolutely ridiculous! I’m very curious to see who it is that you hold in such high regard! Just wait, I’ll go prepare my armants, and then I’ll kill every single human you value!"
The Demon King didn’t choose to act against the disobedient dragon in the sea of magma but instead turned and left for higher levels to continue the tower challenge.
The dragon left behind watched with its large, round eyes flickering with thought. It knew the Demon King was genuinely angry, but it wasn’t the reckless type. The Demon King, even in anger, wouldn’t start unnecessary battles, especially with opponents it couldn’t easily crush. It would prioritize regaining its strength, only settling scores once fully prepared.
"I can’t stay in this tower any longer... I must make a choice..."
The dragon quickly reached a decision. From the mont it saw the Demon King, it knew the days of old were gone forever. Either the Demon King or the outside Human World must et its end, and to survive to the later stages, it had to choose the victorious side.
"In the past, I would most likely side with the Demon King, due to its enormous strength and capability. It nearly achieved its ultimate goal once... But ever since I t that human, I knew the Demon King’s chances of victory were null... because that guy gives a more dangerous feeling than two Demon Kings!"
While speaking, the Magma Dragon transford itself from a dragon that enjoyed wallowing in magma to a mature and alluring red-haired woman, an image it once used to walk the world.
"The Demon King is out of its seal! I’m finally free! I hope my instincts are as correct as they’ve always been!"
After expressing this, the dragon departed as a red-haired human woman from the sea of magma, stepping toward an abruptly appearing teleportation gate. It was a passageway made specifically for leaving captivity after serving a sentence, sothing it had awaited for a long ti.
As she leisurely approached the entrance connected to the tower’s portal, she discovered the outside was already under siege, with many human warriors of notable strength gathered to deliver a brutal beating to any target exiting the tower. Given her strength, she might handle three or four of them, but with so many present, she risked falling on the spot.
Thus, the dragon devised a plan on the spot, using Magic to call out to those outside, declaring she had no intention to be their enemy.
"Descendant of the Great Wise Man Agulas Rod! I am the Red Dragon Cole who once fought your ancestor! I am willing to join the human camp! Please allow to leave first!"
Having spoken, the Red Dragon walked out of the tower’s gate in her human form, facing those skeptical and wary human elite warriors.
These human fighters found it hard to believe that Red Dragon Cole, a figure in the Demon King’s entourage in legends, would choose to defect to them, suspecting there must be so issue. However, if this were true, it would be a significant advantage to humanity, so they dared not act rashly or intentionally make things difficult.
Only the Duke Agulas Rod could resolve this issue. Considering safety, he couldn’t co personally, but sending a familiar or ssage-bearer was straightforward. A white dove was sent to Red Dragon Cole, now in her woman form, indicating his doubts over her actions.
"Red Dragon Cole! If you truly wish to join us, we are naturally willing to accept! After all, humans and the Dragon Race have no fundantal conflict or hostility! But having served the Demon King, we can’t easily trust you! So prove your sincerity! Help us defeat the Demon King first!"
The Duke’s implication was simple: there’s no chance of you escaping now, and we don’t trust your sweet talk to leave you free to cause trouble. But if you assist us in fighting the Demon King right here, all will be forgiven.
However, at the tower entrance, the red-haired woman showed disdain toward the Duke’s reasonable words, directly retorting:
"Humans! Excuse my impoliteness, but even if you add , you won’t stand a chance against the Demon King! The Demon King, being a high-ranking demon, is already imnsely powerful, and if it regains its forr armants, it will beco unstoppable! You need to summon that strongest human quickly, for he is the key I’ve identified for your victory!"
"The strongest human? Who?"
"Is this guy just spouting nonsense? Aren’t all our top human fighters gathered here?"
"Who exactly is she talking about?"
"Everyone be cautious; this might be a trick by the Demon King to divert our attention and make an escape!"
...
The crowd was baffled by the key figure Cole ntioned, unable to fathom the existence of such a being. They were mostly unaware of Wang Zhifan, not even knowing his reputation, rely thinking Cole was trying to distract them with nonsense.
But there were those among the humans who understood, and Agulas Rod quickly recalled Wang Zhifan, a pri contact of his lately. That seamless, piercing aura was unforgettable, and if anyone could be deed the strongest human he’d encountered, it would undoubtedly be him.
"Everyone, I have already notified that gentleman, and I believe he will co to support us soon! We just need to hold the Demon King and not let it escape! As for Red Dragon Cole, I still can’t permit you to leave, please assist us in overcoming this disaster!"
Agulas Rod quickly replied through the white dove, still wanting to keep Red Dragon Cole around to help, yet the Red Dragon clearly didn’t wish to do such a thankless task, imdiately arguing with him.
While these people were in intense discussion, the Demon King, who had fought its way to the tower’s upper floors, wore an uneasy expression.
The reason it knew its gear was in the tower was because of the connection through aura, a lot of its equipnt having been frequently used by the Demon King over two thousand years ago, being both handy and highly effective. But upon reaching the top floor, using its unique attributes and understanding of the tower to retrieve these items, it discovered that a crucial component was missing: its weapon.
Even worse, it had a thod of reviewing the tower’s clearance records and found that a human had completed the challenge at a terrifying pace, faster than anything it could achieve.
"Could the human Red Dragon Cole spoke of be this presence..."
In that mont, the Demon King sensed the gravity of the situation; it knew the real opponent had revealed itself.
