Bang! Bang!

Two Purple Arachnes scattered across the ground, their heads completely pulverized.

Fragnts of bone and flesh spread across the stone floor, while thick fluid slowly seeped outward.

Thoren looked at the fallen creatures and could not help but crease his brow.

Since he had begun moving toward the Purple Arachnes Broodmother’s hive, the number of enemies he encountered had steadily increased.

More importantly, their behavior had changed.

It was almost as if they already knew he was coming.

They attacked him relentlessly, without hesitation or fear.

There was no caution in their movents.

There was no attempt to retreat.

They charged at him as if their lives held no value.

This unusual behavior made him suspicious.

"Is it possible they have realized that I killed many of their kin?" he said aloud.

He paused briefly and considered the possibility.

After a mont, he shook his head.

"Whatever the reason, this saves the trouble of searching for them," he said calmly.

With each kill, his experience continued to increase rapidly.

It was only a matter of ti before he reached the next level.

[Expereinced Gained 120]

[Summoned Entities: Experienced Gained 60]

[Spirit 0.02]

Thoren glanced at the notification and allowed a faint smile to form.

Without hesitation, he pressed forward with his undead servants.

They moved deeper into the darkness.

The stone pillars around him had changed.

They were now larger and more unevenly spaced.

So stood alone, while others clustered together in broken formations.

The environnt felt more chaotic.

At the sa ti, he began to notice strands of spider webs stretched between the pillars.

The webs were not ordinary.

They were thicker and more resilient than those he had encountered before.

A faint sheen covered their surface, suggesting that they possessed unusual properties.

Thoren studied them briefly.

Under normal circumstances, he would have gathered so of the material.

Such resources could be valuable in the Abyssal market.

However, the looming presence of the Broodmother prevented him from relaxing.

"If I have ti later, I will return and collect so," he murmured softly.

Crack!

Suddenly, his boot crushed sothing beneath him.

The sound echoed sharply through the still environnt.

Thoren stopped imdiately.

He did not move for a mont.

Slowly, he lowered his gaze. Beneath his foot lay a shattered skull.

The bone had been crushed completely. Fragnts were scattered around his boot.

He narrowed his eyes slightly.

A quiet breath escaped from his lips. He lifted his foot and took another step forward.

This ti, there was no sound. For a brief mont, the silence returned.

Then his next step broke it again.

Crack! Crack!

The repeated sound made him pause once more.

He lowered his head again.

This ti, his eyes widened slightly.

The ground before him was covered in bones.

Countless human skeletons lay scattered in every direction.

They stretched as far as his vision could reach.

"My....," he murmured quietly.

"How many people have died here?" he asked aloud.

He scanned his surroundings carefully.

There was no empty space.

There was no clear path.

Every inch of the ground was covered in skeletal remains.

It was a sea of bones.

For a mont, he stood still.

Then he resud walking.

His boots continued to crush the remains beneath him.

The cracking sounds echoed repeatedly.

The noise caused his nerves to tighten slightly.

The presence of so many skeletons carried a clear implication.

He was not the first human to enter this place.

Others had co before him.

And their fate was obvious.

They had all died.

Thoren took a slow and steady breath.

He attempted to calm his rising unease.

"What could have killed all of them?" he thought silently.

Dark possibilities filled his mind.

"Should I retreat?"

"With my current strength, facing the Broodmother might be dangerous," he continued thinking.

His earlier confidence began to waver.

A thin layer of sweat ford across his forehead.

He felt exposed.

He felt vulnerable.

Even with his undead surrounding him, the sense of safety he once felt had weakened.

He ca to a halt.

He closed his eyes briefly and steadied his breathing.

"I am not them," he whispered softly.

"They may have died here, but that does not an I will share their fate."

"I am different."

"I am Thoren Starfall."

"I am a necromancer with unparalleled talent."

"Why should I be afraid?"

"Fear belongs to the weak."

"And I am not weak."

He repeated these thoughts in his mind.

With each repetition, his confidence began to return.

The hesitation faded.

The doubt disappeared.

His expression hardened with determination.

"How could a re creature stop ?" he said quietly.

"I will reach the Broodmother."

His steps beca firr.

His movents beca more decisive.

The sound of bones cracking beneath his feet no longer affected him.

It was as if the skeletons did not exist.

He continued forward without hesitation.

After several minutes, the environnt began to change again.

The number of stone pillars gradually decreased.

The scattered skeletons also beca fewer.

This shift caught his attention.

However, he did not slow down.

His focus remained fixed ahead.

After moving further, the pillars disappeared entirely.

The skeletons were gone as well.

Yet the scene before him was no less unsettling.

Dense layers of spider webs covered everything.

They stretched across the walls, the ground, and the ceiling.

The webs ford a thick and suffocating barrier.

From above, small spiders could be seen moving.

There were countless numbers of them.

They crawled along the threads in endless waves.

Their movents were constant and unsettling.

Thoren observed the scene briefly.

His expression remained calm.

Then he stepped forward once more.

The darkness that once surrounded him had changed.

It was no longer empty.

It had beco a domain of spider webs.
