Even though both the humans and the Mantis Beastn fought desperately to stop the beasts from entering the town, their efforts proved futile.

Perhaps they had already known this outco was inevitable.

That was why so defenders had remained behind within the town itself.

Against the Bone Crushing Wyrms that swam through the desert sands as effortlessly as fish moving through water, there was no perfect defense.

Shriek!

Dozens of beastly cries echoed throughout the town. The ground exploded repeatedly as Bone Crushing Wyrms erupted from beneath the streets.

"They are inside!"

"Kill them quickly!"

"Protect everyone!"

Bang! Bang!

The reserve forces sprang into action imdiately. Humans and Mantis n rushed toward the erging beasts without hesitation.

Standing in the center of the main street, Riven’s expression remained completely unchanged.

The chaos surrounding him seed unable to affect his concentration.

He took a single step forward.

"Charge!"

His command thundered across the battlefield. Instantly, he vanished from his position.

Whoosh!

He appeared directly before a massive Level 35 Bone Crushing Wyrm. The beast had barely erged from the ground when Riven attacked.

Bang!

His enormous shield slamd into the creature’s skull.

The force behind the impact was overwhelming. The gigantic Wyrm tumbled backward violently.

Before it could recover from its disorientation, Riven had already drawn his massive blade.

Whoosh!

The blade flashed through the air. The Bone Crushing Wyrm’s head separated cleanly from its neck.

Dark blood erupted like a fountain.

The corpse collapsed heavily onto the street. Everything happened within three seconds.

Riven never even glanced at the dead beast.

His attention had already shifted toward another target. Quickly, the previously peaceful streets transford into a battlefield.

The sounds of destruction echoed everywhere.

Buildings collapsed.

Windows shattered.

Walls cracked apart.

Terrified screams filled the air.

Many young Mantis Beastn children ran desperately through the streets while their parents fought to buy them precious ti.

Ahhh! Ahhh!

Blood splattered across the stone roads.

Bodies fell continuously.

With every passing second, more beasts erged from beneath the ground.

The threat multiplied rapidly.

"Captain! The western district is in danger!"

A female warrior shouted while cutting down a Lesser Dune Scorpion.

"Focus on the battle."

"Do not get distracted."

Riven’s voice remained calm and steady.

Bang!

His shield slamd into another Level 35 Greater Dune Scorpion, forcing the monstrous beast staggered to backward several feet.

However, it recovered instantly and its massive stinger shot forward like a spear.

Riven raised his shield imdiately.

Clang!

Sparks erupted everywhere.

The impact sent vibrations through his arm. Still, he refused to retreat.

Instead, he advanced aggressively. Closing the distance, he swung his blade directly toward the creature’s eye.

The attack was fast.

Lethal.

Decisive.

However, before the blade could connect, another Greater Dune Scorpion erupted from the nearby ground.

Danger!

His instincts scread loudly and without hesitation, Riven abandoned the killing strike.

His shield moved instantly.

Bang!

The second scorpion’s pincer collided against the shield, and the force pushed him several steps backward.

The battle changed imdiately.

What had been a favorable fight beca a deadly struggle.

One mistake would an death.

While Riven, the Vice Guild Master, fought desperately against two Level 35 Greater Dune Scorpions, the situation elsewhere was no better.

Every defender found themselves facing multiple enemies.

The beasts seed endless.

Ahhh!

"My leg!"

"Damn it!"

"I’ve been poisoned!"

The battlefield descended further into chaos.

With the first serious casualty, the only healer among them sprang into action imdiately.

Golden light gathered around his staff.

Healing energy flowed rapidly.

However, before he could finish healing the first victim, another warrior collapsed nearby.

A horrifying wound stretched across the man’s chest. Blood poured from the injury like a broken dam and within seconds, his face turned pale.

His breathing beca weak and uneven.

"Save him!"

"Quickly!"

Several warriors shouted desperately.

The healer gritted his teeth.

Sweat covered his forehead.

There were too many injured.

Far too many.

As casualties increased, formations began breaking apart.

The awakeners who remained standing struggled rely to survive.

Yet the battle showed no signs of ending.

More Bone Crushing Wyrms erged.

More Dune Scorpions appeared.

Every street descended into carnage.

The Mantis Beastn elders fought desperately to protect their ho.

Their bladed arms moved with incredible speed.

Their agility allowed them to evade countless attacks.

However, even extraordinary speed could not overco such overwhelming numbers.

One after another, they fell.

So were dragged underground by Bone Crushing Wyrms.

Others were torn apart by giant pincers.

Those fortunate enough to avoid being devoured still t horrific ends.

Their mutilated corpses lay motionless within growing pools of blood.

The town was slowly becoming a slaughterhouse.

Just when the situation appeared hopeless, several figures clad in black cloaks appeared at the end of the battlefield.

At first, nobody noticed them.

The fighting was too intense.

The screams were too loud.

The chaos was too overwhelming.

However, gradually, people began noticing sothing strange.

A pattern erged.

Wherever the cloaked figures appeared, beasts died.

The mysterious cloak figures moved fearlessly through the battlefield.

Their weapons never stopped moving.

More importantly, their formation never broke.

Every movent was precise.

Every attack was lethal.

Every target died.

The beasts stood no chance against them.

Unlike ordinary awakener or Mantis n, they never scread.

They never panicked.

They never spoke.

They simply killed.

Again.

And again.

And again.

Their existence felt unnatural.

At one corner of the street, a young Earth Mage fought desperately.

Sweat drenched her face. Her mana reserves were rapidly depleting.

Still, she continued casting spells.

Stone spikes erupted from the ground.

Walls rose repeatedly.

She controlled the battlefield while eliminating weaker beasts one after another.

Suddenly, the ground exploded.

A Bone Crushing Wyrm erupted from beneath the sand only a few ters away.

Its enormous mouth opened wide. Rows of razor-sharp teeth rushed toward her.

She reacted quickly.

"Stone Wall!"

A thick earthen barrier rose before her.

However, her heart sank imdiately.

Another Bone Crushing Wyrm erged behind her.

’T-This...’ Her expression changed drastically.

Panic surged through her mind. She hurriedly attempted to cast another defensive spell.

Unfortunately, she was too slow.

Bang!

The first Bone Crushing Wyrm shattered her stone wall instantly.

Fragnts exploded everywhere and the beast lunged forward.

Its dozens of sharp teeth were ready to tear her apart.

"Oh no..." Fear gripped her heart like a vice.

She could already imagine her body being torn apart. There was nothing she could do.

Nothing.

Then suddenly...

Bang!

A deafening explosion echoed before her. Suddenly, the Bone Crushing Wyrm’s charge halted abruptly.

Bang!

Another bang followed imdiately.

Shriek!

The beast released a horrifying scream.

A massive hamr appeared seemingly from nowhere attacked it repeatedly without break.

Each strike carried monstrous force.

Crack!

The Wyrm’s skull shattered.

Crack!

Its armored head caved inward.

Crack!

Its brain exploded into fragnts.

Blood sprayed everywhere.

So splattered across the young woman’s face who was still in shock.

Thud!

The Bone Crushing Wyrm collapsed lifelessly to the ground

The Earth Mage stood frozen while her mind struggled to process what had happened.
