Chapter 588: Chapter 297: Soldin, The Deal Is Made

Three days later.

The second floor of the Adventurer’s Guild, in a quiet, small trading room.

Xia Nan sat alone on a small sofa in the room, and on the middle of the table in front of him, which resembled a tea table, was his Iron Stomach Flail. On the side nearest to him was a cup of steaming tea provided for free by the Guild.

He didn’t have much expertise in this area, but compared to the teas he had tasted in his previous life, the leaves in the cup before him were noticeably larger, floating whole like leaves on the surface of the hot water, nearly covering the entire rim of the cup.

The taste was quite pleasant, exuding a refreshing botanical fragrance with a slightly sweet aftertaste.

He didn’t know where to buy it or how much it would cost.

He thought he might ask Moli about it later. When setting up camp on his next adventure out, sitting by the campfire and enjoying a nice cup of tea might be quite pleasant.

Currently, the reason Xia Nan was sitting here was naturally because of his Iron Stomach Flail consigned at the Guild.

To be honest, he originally thought the Tide Rod would catch a buyer’s eye first.

After all, “fishing enthusiasts,” he believed, wouldn’t be lacking even in this fantastical world filled with supernatural power.

As a baiting device, even if it had strict conditions of use, it also ant its price wouldn’t be too high, and it wasn’t entirely unavoidable, so it should be very sought after.

Unexpectedly, it had been hanging on the Guild’s list until now without any interest, while the Iron Stomach Flail, which was only posted for a few days, had so activity.

However, this was also a good thing.

Xia Nan sat on the small sofa, taking a small sip of tea.

No matter which one, as long as soone buys it, it’s good.

He still needed over five hundred gold coins to fill the gap of the three thousand gold coins required to reforge his longsword, and he was definitely short on money.

Being able to recover so funds through these unused pieces of equipnt was naturally ideal.

He glanced at the wall clock on the wall beside him, estimating the ti in his mind.

There were still twenty minutes until the agreed eting ti.

He hoped the buyer wouldn’t be late…

Thinking this, Xia Nan’s thoughts lingered in his mind when suddenly a conspicuous sound of footsteps echoed from outside the door.

His keen perception ability, which grew with his increasing physical fitness, and increasingly sensitive hearing allowed him to achieve a certain level of “identifying people by sound.”

Most of the ti, even without close contact, he could infer a person’s style of action and emotional characteristics simply through their footsteps.

Taking a few adventurers he knew as examples:

“Green Blood” Adeline’s footsteps were usually crisp and brief, without any dragging or stickiness. While they might have been slightly heavy before Hunting Day, appearing sowhat preoccupied, they beca much more concise and nimble after Xia Nan killed the Red haired Bear Goblins;

Mage Vier’s footsteps were lighter but often seed rushed, as if sothing behind her was always pushing her forward, unable to delay for even a second.

And now, the footsteps coming from behind the door, approaching clearly, gave him the initial impression of being…

Heavy.

Not like the type brought naturally by the massive physique of a Petrified Lizard, causing the ground to tremble slightly with its movents.

Rather, it was a kind of sturdy and forceful heavy footstep on a perceptive level, like solid rock.

Along with tal soles clanking against the floor with a “clang” sound and slightly heavy breathing as it moved.

Even though the figure hadn’t entered Xia Nan’s sight yet, he already had a rough idea of the person’s identity and character.

Could it be a reliable, steady warrior?

“Creak.”

The trading room’s door was slowly pushed open from outside.

Just as expected, the sight that entered his eyes was a solidly built, roughly featured dwarf adventurer.

Different from “Rock Hamr” Barn, who, despite having dwarven blood, was actually burlier than an average half-orc.

The dwarf before him almost perfectly fit Xia Nan’s stereotypical impression of this race regarding appearance and attire.

Just over five feet tall, relatively tall among most of his kin but only coming up to Xia Nan’s chest in height; with knotted muscles like made from steel, straining his clothes, bulging over the thick bone structure.

Standing there, like a piece of granite pried from the mountain.

Solid and rough.

Out of politeness and respect towards the buyer, upon seeing the person walk into the room, Xia Nan stood up, stepped forward, and extended his hand proactively.

“Hello, Xia Nan.”

Rough and powerful.

With broad knuckles, the palm covered in calluses and small scars, the hand gripped his right hand firmly, shaking it twice.

The dwarf in front of him grinned and let out a hearty laugh:

“Hahaha, hello, hello!”

“I heard from the Guild that the seller is also a professional, and I didn’t expect, upon eting today, that you’d be so young!”

“No need for formalities, just call Soldin.”

After a brief exchange, unabashedly observing, Xia Nan evaluated the dwarf standing before him.

Undoubtedly a professional.

The solid aura emanating from him was sothing no low level adventurer or a newcor just recently attaining a professional level could possess.

Well, a bit inferior compared to the Terry William and Lawson he encountered before.

If he wasn’t hiding his strength, his professional level was probably around level 3-4?

Not too old, but judging by the face seemingly carved by the elents, full of the marks of ti, it was evident he wasn’t too young either.
