"Well, that makes it 256 we’ve found now."
Alexia said as she dropped the file on the desk in front of her. She spun around on the office chair to face the cupboard behind her.
"What would you have?"
"Vodka."
"Coming right up!"
She poured two drinks for herself and her drinking companion. Spinning around again, she dropped the drink on the desk.
"Thanks"
Her drinking companion, Kelly, thanked her and picked up the glass.
While holding the file Alexia just dropped on her other hand, she asked.
"The 256th is a Male too Huh? How many does that make it?"
"170 males and 86 females. Isn’t that right Lil bro?"
"Yes, lady Alexia."
Alexia’s subordinate, one who could be called her second in command replied to Kelly’s question.
"Why do you keep calling him ’Lil bro’?"
"Cus he is the one I wish was my real brother, not that piece of crap that tried to make a move on ."
"Your family is really f*cked up you know?"
"Tell about it."
Alexia sighed as she replied to Kelly. She looked towards the one she called ’Lil bro’, his real na, Ethan, as he continued looking through the docunts placed in front of him.
"Good work, you should take a break soon."
"I will."
Even though he said that, he still continued looking through the docunts, marking a few and keeping them in a separate pile.
"By the way Alexia, you still haven’t told why you’re doing this."
"This?"
"Searching for mbers of that new slayer race."
"Oh...that"
For the past few years, Alexia had been searching for mbers of Arthur’s race. A slayer race with the power to kill gods.
Naturally, all mbers of the race she had found so far were children, still, she gathered them up to either protect them or train them to make them stronger.
"It’s quite tiring, isn’t it? They do not have any external characteristics that we can identify them with."
"I was considering telling Ethan to just capture a few demigods or low-tier gods and use them as sensors.
The mbers of that race seem to have so sort of divinity negation."
"It’s not gonna be easy with that though."
"You do not need to tell twice."
She had been searching for almost 7 years and has had little in the way of success.
This was evidenced by the fact that she had barely found more than 250 of them.
"It’s been almost 7 years already huh?"
"Really? It’s been that long?"
Kelly stared at Alexia in silence for a few monts before sighing and speaking.
"You’re the one with the power of ti, why are you not aware of the ti differences?"
"I’m aware most of the ti, I just forget it sotis."
"Is that so?"
Kelly stared at her with a skeptical gaze this ti before asking.
"What’s the ti difference between here and hell?"
"Um...a year in hell is two years over here?"
"Close enough."
Alexia chuckled lightly at Kelly’s reply. The universe she was in was one with a faster ti flow than that of the Hell universe.
As such, although it had been a little bit more than three years since Arthur t her, it had been more than 6 on her end.
"When are we leaving this universe? I dislike the feeling of ageing faster due to ti differences."
"When we get the last batch we found, how many were there again?"
Alexia asked Ethan, to which he replied without looking up from his docunts.
"6, 4 Male, 2 female."
She nodded lightly at his words. Kelly then asked another question.
"Why did we spend so long here anyway?"
"I just wanted to save as many as I could, the gods here are taking drastic action against them, and the few they have found have been murdered in cold blood."
"Isn’t it weird that they have found mbers of the new race so quickly, the guys in Olympus and Hell haven’t discovered any, and they’re the ones directly related to this?"
Alexia frowned before replying, a tinge of annoyance could be detected in her voice.
"This universe’s god of wisdom happened to get his hands on an ’Akashic Record.’"
Kelly, who was about to pour herself another drink, nearly spilt the bottle when she heard that.
The ’Akashic Record’.
It is known by many other nas and titles; the to of all knowledge, the source of all wisdom, the book that contains all truths.
So say the one with the Akashic record would know all that exists.
However the reality is different, many do not know this but there exists an Akashic record for each universe.
The conditions to own an Akashic record differ and there are rumours that no two universes have the sa conditions.
The Akashic record can take many forms but mostly takes the form of a book. It contains all knowledge of that particular universe it originated from.
From the universe’s inception to date, nearly every single event that has occurred is docunted there.
However, to view this information, one needs to pay an appropriate price. The price could range from one’s energies to pieces of their soul.
Although the Akashic record is said to hold knowledge of everything, that is not true.
This is evidenced by the fact that the Akashic record does not hold information about the future. Restricted information such as a being’s true na can also not be seen in the record.
As for its origins, it is unknown who or what created the Akashic record, just that every universe that exists, has one, no matter how small the universe may be.
The Akashic records also have the limitations of not allowing anyone other than the owner to ask it questions or glean any information from them.
For that to happen, one needs to have the permission of the owner and also needs to be prepared to pay twice or thrice the price the owner would need to pay for their information.
Depending on the nature of the information, it could be up to five tis the price.
"Just how lucky was he to find such a thing?"
"Lucky enough that I want to kill him."
Alexia clicked her tongue, due to the warning she received before, she was laying low and not taking any major actions for now.
Otherwise, a normal Alexia would have been having this conversation with the head of the god beside her and the god’s soul trapped in an eternal torture hell.
Kelly, who knew the reason Alexia was letting the god go scot-free, sighed and asked.
"That ti I was possessed, what happened?"
"Nothing much just received another warning."
"Nothing much?! Are you crazy?!"
Kelly suddenly raised her voice, surprising Ethan who was busy looking through the lists of potential mbers of the new slayer race.
"Lil bro, take a break."
In other words; leave.
Ethan understood the aning behind Alexia’s words and he nodded before walking out of the room.
As soon as the door was closed, Kelly began shouting once again.
"Are you trying to get yourself killed?! Or even worse?!"
"No, I have no intentions of dying at such a young age, I have to surpass that son of a b*tch after all."
"That’s not the point here, you know what I an don’t you?"
Alexia sighed and nodded, seeing this, Kelly held her head and spoke, finally realizing sothing was wrong with Alexia’s earlier statent.
"You said another warning right?! Does that an there was one before?!
When they told you were a bit of a problem child, I didn’t think it was to the extent of having received a warning before."
"Huh? You didn’t know about the first?"
"They told it was Lucifer who received the warning, and you just happened to be present."
Alexia was slightly surprised at this, she thought Kelly already knew everything about her past. She had never expected that Kelly still didn’t know as much as she thought.
"For soone like you, there’s no way you would not have been able to find out, why didn’t you?"
"Ah, you were like a cat that was about to be tossed into water when I first t you, I felt it would have been rude to pry so I didn’t.
Eventually, I forgot about it and never bothered to find out what really happened."
Kelly replied to Alexia’s question in a nonchalant manner. After a few seconds of silence, she spoke again.
"Although I didn’t pry too deep, it does not an I don’t know about the general situation."
She dropped her glass on the table and continued with a serious tone.
"You were the one who ssed with the law of causality right? I’m guessing Lucifer got caught up trying to stop you.
Tell , Alexia, that day, when you looked into the future.
Whose future was it, and exactly what did you see?"
Alexia flinched involuntarily at Kelly’s question. She rubbed her shoulders and tried to calm herself but she couldn’t stop shivering.
"I was only looking for a way to escape my father’s curse."
