He could have ordered room service, but making a bowl of noodles was faster.

A few minutes later, a bowl of noodles was placed before Kurapika and quickly eaten.

"Gon and Killua ca by. They also seem to have notified Leorio," Law said.

Kurapika set down his chopsticks, remained silent for a long mont, then asked, "Where are they?"

"At the Southernpiece Auction."

"Hmm." Kurapika made a sound of acknowledgnt and said nothing more.

Law paused for a mont and asked, "How are you feeling physically?"

"Alright," Kurapika replied in a low voice.

Law nodded, said no more, took the bowl and chopsticks, and walked towards the door.

Just as Law reached the doorway, Kurapika suddenly said, "Master... thank you."

Law paused at the door for a mont, then opened it and walked out.

Kurapika looked at the door, silent.

His great vengeance was complete, yet he felt no sense of pleasure or joy, nor emptiness or confusion.

What remained was only resolve.

No matter what he might lose, he must recover all his clansn's eyes.

This was the responsibility he carried on his shoulders.

Law left the room, tossed the bowl and chopsticks into the sink to wash them, then used his ability to extract the water from his hands.

At that mont, a light, gentle knock ca from the suite door.

Law went over to check. The person standing outside was lody.

Sowhat surprised by lody's visit, Law still opened the door and let her in.

"Excuse for intruding," lody said with good manners.

"Sit." Law sat on the sofa in the living room, gesturing for lody to sit.

lody wasn't standoffish or overly formal either, slowly sitting down opposite Law.

"Just say what you need to say," Law looked at lody, getting straight to the point.

lody was direct as well, heading straight to the topic. "That night, including myself, Neon Nostrade, Mr. Nostrade, and Squad Leader Dalzollene, a total of nineteen people escaped from the Cetery Building."

"On the way towards the cordoned-off area, Mr. Nostrade ordered Squad Leader Dalzollene to kill the others."

Law's eyelids lifted slightly, 'No wonder the news report indicated only four survivors.'

He didn't understand why lody had specifically co here to tell him this, but he guessed it might be under Nostrade's instructions.

"And then?" he asked.

lody glanced towards the room where Kurapika was, hesitated for a mont, but still took a gold-embossed black card from her pocket.

This type of card allowed withdrawals from the account at any bank across the six continents and ten regions, regardless of the amount, without a password, without identification, without prior notice...

The minimum deposit for this card was five billion. It was a card favored by mafia bosses.

Law quietly watched the gold-embossed black card on the table, waiting for lody to continue.

lody said tactfully, "There are ten billion Jenny in the card. It's my boss's thank-you fee for saving our lives."

"Does it include hush money as well?" Law raised a finger, using his Domain to pull the bank card into his palm from a distance.

lody was slightly taken aback, then slowly nodded.

"Nostrade... quite the bold one," Law said, playing with the bank card in his hand.

So many mafia bosses gathered in Yorknew City, yet only Nostrade Family's group escaped unscathed. This was because Light Nostrade was ruthless enough to kill the others who had also narrowly escaped.

If Light knew the Ten Dons were dead, he would probably applaud his own decision.

However, these ssy affairs were of no concern to Law. Since the other party actively offered ten billion, there was no reason not to take it.

lody silently watched Law's expressionless face. Just from his heartbeat, she couldn't glean any useful information.

"I'll take the card. You can go back and report the mission complete," Law said to lody after a mont.

lody, however, did not get up. After finishing the official business, there was personal business.

Law flipped his hand, storing the black card in his Kuro's space, and quietly looked at lody.

lody took a deep breath, t Law's calm gaze, and asked, "That night, the woman playing the harp..."

"Yes?" A hint of surprise flashed deep in Law's eyes, 'Could lody detect a connection between Stargie and the Dark Sonata?'

"I am certain that the musical notes of the piece she played were unrelated to the Dark Sonata, but that aura... it was connected to the Dark Sonata," lody said, fear appearing in her eyes, her voice dropping a few notes.

Law remained silent.

lody struggled to calm her emotions. Looking at Law, she hesitated for a mont and said, "You definitely know sothing. I can pay you any amount you desire in exchange for information."

"Sorry, as I've said before, if you want to know sothing from , you must trade information about the Dark Sonata," Law said calmly.

Hearing this, lody let out a deep sigh. This result was also sothing she could have anticipated.

Unwittingly, she thought of what Law had said to her that day.

If she wanted to know sothing from Law, perhaps she really could only trade it with information related to the Dark Sonata.

But she had no idea what Law's motivation for seeking the Dark Sonata was.

That dangerous thing was like a kitchen knife. So people use it only for chopping vegetables and cooking, while others use it to kill.

"Excuse ."

lody slowly stood up and walked towards the door.

She said 'excuse ' when she arrived, and 'excuse ' again when she left.

Law did not get up, watching as lody left.

lody had barely left when Kurapika ca out of his room.

He had heard the conversation between Law and lody, including the part about the Dark Sonata, but he wasn't interested in it.

lody had also hesitated before taking out the black card because she had heard Kurapika's heartbeat.

"The mafia."

Kurapika suddenly uttered this term.

Law turned his head to look at Kurapika. "The mafia?"

"This is the path I will take next," Kurapika said.

Law raised an eyebrow. "You want to join the mafia?"

"Yes. I will establish my own faction to pave the way for retrieving my clansn's eyes," Kurapika stated gravely.

"Is that so..." Law murmured thoughtfully, then said, "But I don't like the mafia."

Hearing this, Kurapika pursed his lips and said softly, "This is the only path I can think of right now."

Law did not respond to that issue. He took a black card out from his Kuro's space and instead said, "Wasn't one of your original intentions for taking the Hunter Exam to beco a Blacklist Hunter?"

Kurapika slowly nodded.

Law tossed the black card containing ten billion to Kurapika, who caught it reflexively.

"The bounty for the Phantom Troupe. This is what you deserve," Law said, looking at Kurapika. "Money isn't omnipotent, but there are things that can be bought with money, including the Scarlet Eyes."

The words might sound a bit harsh, but they were the truth.

In many Pro Hunters' careers, money is a very useful tool, its greatest value often manifested in purchasing information.

Additionally, for Pro Hunters with specific pursuits, such as Biologists, regardless of their specialization, using money to acquire biological corpses or live specins with research value is a common practice.

Just like Law, who also used money to purchase Nen-carrying antiquities from Feng Xiaoyu. Later on, for things he wanted to do, like preventing the rise of the Chira Ants, he would need to use money for operations.

Kurapika silently looked at the black card.

Law's words were a suggestion.

Should he enter the mafia, establish his own faction, and use the mafia's connections to search for the whereabouts of the Scarlet Eyes? Or should he beco a professional Blacklist Hunter, capture wanted criminals for bounties, and use the money to acquire the Scarlet Eyes?

Beep beep.

Just then, a phone ringtone abruptly sounded.

Law took out his phone and looked. It was a ssage from Machi.

She was here, in the Gordeau Desert.

Law replied to her with a ssage, then looked at Kurapika and said, "I have intelligence channels. If there is information on the whereabouts of the Scarlet Eyes, I can provide it to you."

Kurapika seed to have an epiphany. Clenching the black card, he said solemnly, "But I will pay for it."

"Correct. However, my information is very expensive."

Law smiled slightly, then stood up and walked towards the door.

"I'm going out. You think it over carefully."

Law left the hotel for the Gordeau Desert, while Kurapika silently put away the black card.

Perhaps it was because of Law's words, or perhaps because Kurapika rembered his original intention for getting the license. The scale in his heart slowly tilted towards becoming a Blacklist Hunter.
