Head Howard Mason saw the condition of the giant trees. His earlier premonitions turned out to be true. This place hides so secrets that are dangerous. If it were others, especially those below his rank, they would have died before getting to this place.

Howard continued to delve deeper. The presence of dark, sinister evil energy beca apparent. Head Howard began to sense danger as he went further.
He is a powerful Magic Lord. There are not many people living in the Ancient Redwood Country who can pose a threat to his life, including the old monsters who were in retreat.
Howard furrowed his eyebrows. He had co here to find the source of the black locket, but instead, he was facing a threat that could endanger his life.
He decided to find the reason behind it. He didn't want to leave empty-handed. So Howard started to observe the place, especially where he was getting the dangerous feeling.

He moved around in midair before appearing in the sky above a particular location. That area was an open ground. There weren't any trees growing on that plot.
The plot was normal for others, but he found it different. Howard released a bit of mana.

A huge force burst out from his body. The shockwave spread across the surroundings, including the ground.
When the pressure hit the ground, the normal ground began to change. In the blink of an eye, the surface started to alter.
The ground surface began to wiggle like a worm, as if so monster was sleeping beneath it.
Howard's eyes narrowed. His gaze swept across the place.
The monster began to awaken. It stood up with a huge body towering above the ground. Howard looked at the monster over 20 feet in height.
He didn't know whether it was appropriate to call it a monster. It seed more like an artificial creature, a product of Puppet Magic, Transmutation Magic, and so other evil magic.
Even Howard found it difficult to guess its origin. He thought that the creature was very ancient.
Boom!
The weirdly shaped creature acted on instinct. It sensed that an intruder had co and started moving its huge body to attack.
Howard's eyes flickered. Instead of attacking the creature, he retreated backward. Once he created enough distance, he saw that the strange creature stopped moving.
He thought this huge creature was guarding sothing. More importantly, the fluctuations coming from its body were above level-10.
If he started to fight against the creature, their duel could attract unwanted attention. Howard decided to go back first to make adequate preparations.
He needed to have magic formations to trap this strange creature, or he should cover the entire area with magic formations so that their magical fluctuations wouldn't be able to leak.

Howard then left the spot. On the way, he erased all of his magical traces. He didn't want any second person to appear here.
After doing that, he stood far above the clouds in midair. He saw the giant creature return underground. The ground surface returned to normal as well.
Sigh!
A sigh escaped from Howard's mouth. He then disappeared from the spot and started heading back. The trip to the Pindwood Forest had opened his eyes.
The danger hidden here could pose a threat to his life.
Just as he was about to leave the pinewood forest, he sensed sothing. The next second, he disappeared from the spot and appeared on the ground.
His gaze penetrated a certain location in the sky, where he saw a group of wizards approaching. Those wizards had strength between Magic Level-9 and Magic Level-10.
There were 10 wizards in the group, but there was no Magic Lord among them. When he confird this, his eyebrows relaxed. If there was no Magic Lord among them, then he could observe their activities.
Usually, no one ca to this abandoned place, so he couldn't help but feel suspicious.
The group of wizards arrived at the pinewood forest shortly afterward. Unlike Howard Mason, they had chosen to enter through a different route.
Seeing this, Howard decided to follow these people.
After entering the forest, the group's speed slowed down. They had to be cautious from then on, as the dangers here could kill them.
So the wizards chose to walk on the ground. Among them was an Earth Elental Wizard. If there was any danger hidden beneath the ground, he could alert the others.
The wizards then continued to walk deeper into the forest.
Not long after they left, Howard appeared on the spot. He looked in the direction the group had just taken.
"Strange," Howard muttered to himself.

"Where did I see him before?" Howard asked in his heart.

Suddenly, sothing clicked in his mind.
He had t that wizard at Tommy Anderson's office, the sa wizard who guided young Vincent to the Anderson Family Treasury.
A strange glint flashed in Howard's eyes.
He suspected the Anderson Family had been secretly researching this place. The more he thought about it, the more it felt right.
No other wizard organization was close to the forbidden Pindwood Forest. Most importantly, the Black Ore was also found in the Anderson Family Treasury.
He suspected that the Anderson Family hadn't given up their research since their ancestors' campaign, which ant they likely had more information about the forbidden Pindwood Forest than any other force.
Howard started to regret the outco of the negotiations. He thought he should have gotten more from them. But nothing could be done about that.
He then disappeared from the spot and continued to follow the group. Maybe he could gather so information by following them.
Not long after that, the group of wizards encountered their first trial. A plant type monsters began to hinder them.
