Thornflower Hotel
That night, the brown-coated manager greeted the city administration officials at the hotel. They were here for a reason.
The officials were here to capture the wandering wizards who had no background. Ten people had co to the hotel.
The group was led by the old man. The old man was the elder here. He was a Supre Wizard, one of the powerful Supre Wizards in the city.
So said that he was invincible under the Magic Lord. No one had seen anyone defeating the old man before.
The hotel manager and the staff were respectful to the old man, who was dressed in a black tuxedo.
"Give the list," he said to the manager.
The manager gave him the list. The old man accepted it and started going through it. The other nine wizards were standing behind him.
They were all between Level-9 and Level-8 Wizards. If any big situation occurred, they could provide assistance.
The old man spotted the nas of Supre Wizards on the list. He was shocked. He didn't expect two Supres to stay in the sa hotel.
He saw two other nas with them. They were Level-9 wizards. He thought they were from the sa group.
A quick gleam appeared in his eyes. In order to deal with the Supre Wizards, he had to personally intervene.
There were two Supre Wizards present. The others couldn't handle them. Even the old man was wondering whether to call for backup or not.
Unless you had potential and talent, it was impossible to beco a Supre Wizard. So, he thought the two Supre Wizards must be strong.
He needed assistance. The old man called for backup from the office and told them about the situation.
After making that call, he turned around and faced the mbers behind him. He asked them to leave; they should go to other places to check.
Thornflower Hotel had Supre Wizards. He would take care of them here. After learning that Supre Wizards were staying in the hotel, the other mbers were shocked.
They hadn't known about it earlier. They couldn't fight against the Supre Wizards. A single wave of mana coercion was enough to crush them.
So, the group left silently. Only the old man remained standing there. He then turned towards the hotel manager and asked about the room number.
Then, he began to wait. It didn't take long for two more Supre Wizards to co to the hotel: one old man and one old woman.
The three of them talked for a few minutes before going to the hotel room. The hotel manager and the staff stayed behind. They knew what would happen if they were caught in the attack.
They believed that they wouldn't fight inside the hotel, but anything could happen now.
Shortly after, the three of them arrived in front of the hotel room where the wandering wizard group was staying. All three had concealed their Supre Wizard power.
Boom!
The next second, the old man broke into the room. In a flash, the three of them entered. Their gazes fell on different parts of the room.
They imdiately spread their ntal power to cover the area. In the blink of an eye, they had scanned the room.
But there was no presence of the wizards whatsoever. This stunned the three of them. Their senses were not wrong.
"Is this the work of an artifact?" the old man muttered.
They then began to check the hotel room in person. Each of them thoroughly checked and scanned, but there was no anomaly. Which ant the group had already left the hotel room.
But the hotel manager and the staff were unaware of it, and they had given wrong information to the city officials.
The old man and the other two were pissed off. If they had already checked out, then why put their nas on the list?
"Let's go. Those idiots have wasted our ti," the old man said to them.
They left the room and ca to the lobby shortly after. The manager and the staff were there waiting for them.
Upon seeing the elders back, they were confused. The old man walked straight to the manager and looked at him with a deep gaze, releasing a little bit of coercion.
Boom!
The manager and the staff standing there felt terror. All of their faces filled with fear. Everyone slumped to the ground due to the pressure.
The manager and the staff felt the dying breath covering them. They didn't know what had happened to make the elder this angry.
They were clueless. The old woman sighed.
She stepped forward and canceled the pressure.
Gasp!
When the pressure was gone, everyone there gasped for breath. They felt as if they had just escaped the clutches of death.
Then they saw it was the woman elder who had saved them. They sighed in relief.
"You guys should have checked the hotel room before making that list. The wizards were not in the room; they had already left," the old woman said in a serious tone.
Hearing that, the manager and the staff were dumbfounded and shocked because they had seen the Supre Wizards and the two Level-9s entering the hotel before.
They even greeted them. So, the hotel manager and staff were confused.
The hotel manager was even more dumbfounded because he had stopped them to collect basic information earlier. Only then had he made the list and submitted it.
The old woman noticed the gazes of these people were doubtful.
"What's wrong?" she asked.
She then pointed at one of the staff mbers to answer her.
The staff mber, with a trembling body, stood up and started to explain.
A few minutes later, the three Supre Wizards understood sothing. The staff were not lying. The wandering group had left without alerting them.
It was a big issue. They didn't know whether they were really wandering wizards. If they had learned any secrets about Thornside City, then it would be a big problem.
Especially if the Mage Union beca aware of this matter. Then, it would be the end of the city.
