From MC Perspective

Several hours later,

The next morning, the climate began to change. We had already left Dust City and a few other important cities behind.

One more day of travel and we would reach our destination. However, the unexpected climatic change caught off guard.

"Gasp!"

"It’s going to rain heavily!"

"We will die if it falls on us!"

"What should we do? We can’t let a single drop of rain touch our skin. It will destroy our bodies!"

The frantic discussion of the wandering wizards reached my ears.

My eyes flashed with a glint as I recalled the warning given by the old man. I unfolded the map and saw that our current location was marked as a dangerous zone.

"Could it be the climate?" I muttered.

I spread my ntal power. In the blink of an eye, it covered the entire terrain. I spotted a naturally ford cave. The next second, I commanded the monster to follow my direction.

Shortly afterward,

We reached the cave area. I ordered the monster to enter; the opening was large enough for its massive fra. Behind , the wandering wizards cheered in relief.

A few minutes later,

I inspected the interior of the cave. It was empty and dry, with no signs of trespassing wizards or monsters. I told the monster and the wandering wizards to rest while I walked to the entrance to observe the sky.

Thunder!

A thunderclap echoed through the air. Not long after, a heavy downpour began. When the raindrops landed on the ground, a scorching, sizzling sound erupted.

A hint of seriousness appeared in my eyes. These people weren’t joking earlier. I used the System to analyze the rain.

The results indicated that the toxic environnt surrounding this area was responsible for such a volatile climatic change.

"Hmm." Suddenly, my senses picked sothing up.

An airship was approaching our direction. I frowned but remained still, continuing to watch the sky.

A huge white airship appeared through the gloom, slowing down before descending toward the ground.

By this ti, the wandering wizards had spotted it as well. Upon seeing the airship and its logo, their faces changed drastically.

"Lord, that airship belongs to one of the bandit groups," the middle-aged man said, his voice trembling.

I nodded and said, "Don’t worry. Let’s see what they are up to."

The middle-aged man nodded and gathered the other lackeys behind him. Even the flying salamander sensed sothing was wrong.

When its lizard-like pupils saw the white airship, old mories stirred. It had fought this group of human bandits long ago and hadn’t expected to et them here.

Then, the salamander looked at , the Supre Wizard standing before it and relaxed. Since I was here, no one could harm it.

It had heard of the bandits’ leader being a powerhouse, but it didn’t think he could suppress .

I continued to observe the airship, using my ntal power to probe. I saw more than twenty wizards on board, ready to disembark.

Then, I saw an old man in the captain’s quarters. When I tried to probe him, I felt a sudden sense of crisis.

On the ground, A group of bandits stepped out of the airship, carrying objects to cover their heads. In this environnt, a single raindrop was a death sentence.

"Aaahhh!"

One of the bandits was using a wooden object for cover. A raindrop easily pierced through the wood before falling onto his head.

He let out a blood-curdling scream before collapsing. Terrified, the other bandits increased their pace, sprinting toward the cave.

I didn’t look at the twenty bandits. Instead, my gaze remained fixed on the airship. The old man inside was no ordinary wizard. I used the System to identify him, and the results shocked to the core.

"He is a Magic Lord. But he is injured. His mana core has suffered severe damage," I thought to myself.

Soone had deliberately left him alive. What a vicious thing to do. The damage to his mana core ca from a direct attack, not natural ans. I confird this through the System. This man had to be the bandit leader.

Swoosh!

The next second, a burly middle-aged man left the airship. He walked boldly through the toxic rain without any cover. My gaze sharpened. A thick layer of magic power covered his body, blocking the rain from touching his skin.

"Impressive," I thought.

I discovered that this man was a body-type wizard. Unlike typical awakened powers, his magic ca from his bloodline.

Unfortunately, with his damaged mana core, he was limited. Otherwise, he would be a truly formidable wizard. No wonder everyone feared him; even injured, he could walk freely in the Dark Territory.

The bandits reached the cave and saw my group. They said nothing and hurried inside. The cave was large enough to accommodate everyone.

The old man from the ship was about to join them, but he suddenly changed direction and started walking toward .

"Gasp!"

A small collective exclamation rose from the crowd. Both the bandits and the wandering wizards thought a fight was about to break out.

They recognized the flying salamander as well; they had tried to capture the native monster before, but it had proven too difficult to kill. They expected their leader to seize the beast now.

The flying salamander retreated behind the wandering wizards. I remained silent, watching the old man approach.

I was not afraid of a Magic Lord with a damaged mana core. Perhaps that injury was the reason he had turned to banditry.

"Young man, it’s nice to see you here," the old man said with a grin.

"Not many know about this route. You must have a significant identity," he added.

His eyes tried to see through the young man.

On the other hand, I had used the system function to block the prying. He can’t see through my strength.

"It’s nice to et you as well. But I don’t know why you are here with such a level of your strength," I asked him.
