From MC Perspective

The old man didn’t respond but continued to observe the young man in front of him. He saw that the young man’s flesh and skin were youthful; the voice belonged to soone less than 50 years old.

Yet, he felt a threat emanating from the young man. The old man was a Magic Lord. It had taken him hundreds of years to reach this level before he was injured.

He doubted the young man in front of him was actually a Magic Lord. Instead, he believed the youth was carrying so kind of magic artifact. Only that could explain the sense of threat.

The old man pondered whether to attack or not. If he could obtain such an artifact, he could do sothing about his injury. He could sell the artifact for a high price and, with that money, heal himself.

The bandits and wandering wizards were retreating to the far end of the cave, including the flying Salamander. Everyone felt the current uneasiness; a battle could break out at any mont.

The old man’s eyes flashed with greed and killing intent.

[Ding! Warning!]

[Ding! Killing intent detected.]

The system voice sounded in my mind.

Swoosh!

My body flashed forward. At the sa ti, I cast a 7th-stage magic spell: "Gravity Blast."

The old man’s blurry face appeared before my eyes. Before he could attack , a wisp of gray magic shot from my palm.

The old man saw the spell, but he didn’t take it seriously. In his mind, the young man only possessed a magic artifact, so his direct spell attacks wouldn’t be threatening.

That was where he was wrong. The old man watched the spell approach, thinking his body could withstand it. His mana core was damaged, but his physique was still that of a Magic Lord.

The seven-fold magic attack struck the old man’s chest a mont later. The old man was smiling, still believing his body would hold.

The next second, his eyes filled with terror.

Boom!

A shattering roar sounded. The spell tore through the old man’s physical defenses, injured his organs and the powerful force blasted him away.

Pfff!

A torrent of blood splattered in the air as his body went flying. The explosive noise echoed across the area.

Boom!

The old man’s body crashed into the ground. The bandits, wandering wizards, and the flying salamander hid in the corners of the cave. No one dared to co out.

Swoosh!

I shifted from my spot and rushed toward him. In a flash, I appeared in front of him.

The old man lay miserably in a pool of blood. He couldn’t believe his Magic Lord-level physique had been broken.

I saw a large, open gash in his chest, blood gushing from the wound. If he didn’t receive treatnt imdiately, he would die.

The old man was still conscious. He raised his head and saw , his eyes now filled with fear. He had miscalculated everything.

The threat didn’t co from an artifact, but from the young man himself. A single magic spell had almost crippled him.

"What kind of magic was that?" he asked.

"Old man, there is no point in regrets now," I replied.

Hearing that, the old man sighed. He resigned himself to his fate.

"I know I have lost. You are the winner. Go ahead and kill ," he said. He closed his eyes, waiting for death.

A sharp gleam appeared in my eyes. I asked the system whether I could subdue a Magic Lord.

My Red Scroll Artifact was damaged; normally, it could only subdue wizards up to the Supre Level. However, the person in front of was a weakened, injured Magic Lord.

[Ding! The host can subdue the injured Magic Lord.]

[Ding! However, the Host will not be able to subdue another Magic Lord before reaching the limit.]

The system voice echoed in my mind. My eyes flashed with understanding.

I knew the gap between a Supre Wizard and a Magic Lord was enormous, requiring a vast amount of stat points to bridge. Since the system said I could subdue him, I would.

I took out the Red Scroll Artifact and activated it with my mana. The scroll glowed with a bright crimson light as it unfolded. I saw four marks on the scroll, representing the three wizards and one monster I had already subdued.

After becoming a Supre Wizard, I could see more clearly now. The Red Scroll Artifact was of an unknown grade, but it was heavily damaged. In the future, I would have to look for ways to repair it.

Swoosh!

A red light shot from the scroll and entered the old man’s mana core. He snapped his eyes open. His pupils flashed crimson as his damaged mana core was bound by crimson magic chains.

The old man didn’t know what was happening, but a fifth mark soon appeared on the scroll.

A red light shot from the scroll into my mind. I felt a fifth crimson orb appear next to the other four. This new orb was a much brighter red, likely due to his Magic Lord status.

The old man was not stupid; he understood what had happened. His face twisted into a bitter smile.

I looked at his wound and pulled a few items from the system space: potions and magic fruits. I handed them to him.

"You are now under my control. Take these and consu them to heal your injuries," I said.

The old man was stunned. He imdiately obeyed the order, receiving the potions and fruits and consuming them on the spot.

anwhile, I began discussing things with the system. It wasn’t easy to heal a mana core. The system inford that my looted items didn’t contain any treasures capable of healing a Magic Lord’s core.

Since the Magic Lord level involved the power of Rules, it required special treasures. I decided to keep a close eye on this matter.

If he was healed, then he will beco powerful Magic Lord.
