From MC Perspective
Pet Shop
We were on the second floor, looking at the monster cubs and eggs. It was a wonderful sight. Yet, the system warned that these gangs had entered the pet shop as well.
My eyes flashed with anger. I think they are going to confront us here. I looked toward Otto. Otto understood the Master's gaze.
He said, "They are checking the place now. They will co to the second floor soon."
A hint of coldness appeared in my eyes. I was sure that they wouldn't dare to cause a problem inside the shop. The pet shop seed to have a powerful background as well.
I collected my thoughts and started looking for food for the vine monster and the sky salamander.
The vine monster is very old. As far as I know, it consus the blood of monsters and wizards. I doubted they would sell blood here, but we could easily buy resources for the salamander.
We approached the staff and stated our request. The staff mber was not surprised. They knew many monsters that consu blood as food.
The male staff mber noted the strength of the middle-aged man.
The staff mber was a Level-9 wizard, but he couldn't see through the middle-aged man's strength. It ant the middle-aged man was stronger than him, he could be a Supre Wizard.
The staff had decades of experience, so he easily recognized high-level custors. He also realized the identity of the masked man was not ordinary. He began to act very respectfully toward them.
"Guests, we have private rooms for special guests. Co with . Once we get there, I will show you the lists," the staff said.
Hearing that, I was happy. I had been worried that the gang mbers could spoil the fun here. Fortunately, they had private rooms for powerful wizards.
The staff mber led us to the third floor. When we arrived, I saw the floor was empty. Apart from us, no one was here. He led us into one of the rooms; it was luxurious. The staff served tea to both of us.
We sat down on the chairs and began sipping the tea. The staff then took out a device and showed us a list. It was a list of monster corpses.
Powerful wizards usually buy monster corpses to feed their pets. The grades of these corpses were between 6th Order and 9th Order. Otto took the device; he was about to give it to his master.
But I signaled him with my eyes a second later. Otto acted casually before starting to go through the lists. This scene was not noticed by the staff.
He had landed a big custor after a long ti and was eager to earn a commission. As long as the custor made a satisfying purchase, he would receive rewards from the shop owner.
anwhile
The Infinite Circle mbers were now on the second floor. They had started their search. Their middle-aged leader was clueless; he didn't know where the targets had gone.
The middle-aged man was getting angry. He had lost sight of the target, but he believed they must still be inside the pet store.
As a local, he knew the background of the store was extraordinary. He didn't dare to cause trouble here.
So, he called back a few of his n and asked them to stay outside the shop, while the rest resud the search. When the mbers were gone, he tried contacting his leader again, but the call did not connect.
He put away the device and resud looking for the targets.
...
Guest Room
Otto went through the list. Then, he asked the staff to stay outside for a minute.
He lied to the staff, saying he was going to call soone important whose identity was confidential and whose na could not be spoken in front of others.
The staff was scared upon hearing that. He realized he had underestimated the duo's identity. He left the room to give them the needed privacy.
Otto then gave the device to , saying, "Master, the list does not have monster corpses of the Supre level."
I accepted the device and began to go through the lists. I also knew that it's hard to co across the corpses of 10th-order monsters.
The lists only contained 9th-order and below. Since I have two monsters, I decided to buy corpses for both of them.
Suddenly, a good idea ca to mind.
I used the system to check whether the place was safe. The system confird the place was safe and no hidden gadgets were installed. I told Otto to wait there.
The next second, I appeared inside the Gregor Mansion. I went to the Zero Puppet and activated it with super-grade mana stones.
Once the Zero Puppet activated, I gave it the device and asked it to find suitable resources.
The database of the Zero Puppet was better than before, as I had plundered a city library for it. As the Zero Puppet went through the list, I already had the answers from the system.
It is not easy for monsters to break through each stage unless they have a monster bloodline power in them.
According to the system, if I buy monster corpses and crystal gems from salamander-type monsters, it would be helpful to the sky salamander.
It was the sa for the vine monster. Since the vine monster is an old monster, if I can find vine-type monsters and crystal gems for its consumption, it will break through as well.
It didn't take long for the Zero Puppet to co up with similar answers. My eyes flashed with satisfaction.
I appeared back in the room where Otto was waiting. I told him my suggestion.
Otto was surprised. He said, "Master, your thod is right. The corpses of the sa kind will be very helpful to them."
"Good," I uttered.
Then I gave the device back to him.
Otto accepted the device before calling the staff.
