Crystal City
Holden Barrett shifted his gaze. It fell upon the masked man, the central figure of the event. Under the watchful eyes of everyone present, Holden walked up to him.
He said, "I’m Holden Barrett. I represent both the Silver Tower and the Barrett Family."
After speaking, he glanced at Jason Nicholson, Wilfred Cox, and Susan Park before looking back at the masked man.
"I’m Frank. It’s good to see such an important person coming for the function," I said to him.
Hearing that, Holden revealed a bright smile. He had a good impression of the shop owner. The butler, Gideon, nodded; he didn’t feel any malice coming from the masked man.
I then led both the trio and Holden Barrett to the gallery room, their elders following closely behind. Once inside, I began to show them my collection.
Holden and the others weren’t quiet; they were fascinated by the magic artifacts stored inside the gallery containers, observing them intently.
The elders behind them were surprised as well. They hadn’t expected to see such high-grade artifacts here. While they observed the items, I went to greet other guests.
On the other hand, Manager Lara and her friends were speaking with the visitors. Lara knew people from the local forces were there and wanted to widen their connections.
She believed they would be helpful to Vincent Carey, as the support of local forces was vital for the business.
Not long after, she caught a glimpse of Jason Nicholson, Wilfred Cox, and Susan Park. She wasn’t surprised, but she wanted to see Vincent Carey’s reaction.
Her gaze wandered, but she didn’t find Vincent in the gallery room. She realized he might be entertaining other guests elsewhere.
In the living area, I was busy entertaining guests when I noticed soone important arriving.
Rebecca Ethan had co with her parents. The middle-aged couple was well-dressed, and both wore doctor’s badges on their chests.
The crowd recognized the couple imdiately. Seeing this, I made an excuse to the people I was with and went to greet them.
"Ms. Rebecca, I’m glad you are here with your family," I said.
"It’s nice to be here," Rebecca replied, handing a gift.
I accepted the gift with a smile before passing it to Hank, who was standing next to . After greeting her mother and father properly, I took them to the gallery room.
Her parents were talkative and optimistic. They were srized by the objects inside the glass containers and began to appreciate the items.
I spoke with Rebecca for a few minutes before moving on to other guests.
There were so many people that I couldn’t afford to make mistakes, especially by spending too much ti with only a few individuals.
I had already impressed several heads of the local forces, yet the heads of the most important groups had yet to arrive.
I was particularly looking forward to eting the heads of the Wizard Associations.
anwhile, two people from the Infinite Circle reached the destination.
The representatives were a middle-aged man, the leader of the Infinite Circle, Edmund Smith and his assistant. Edmund was a Magic Lord.
His assistant, Jonah, was slightly younger and a Supre Wizard. Both were there after receiving an invitation.
Edmund was dressed in a blue tuxedo, while Jonah wore rcenary clothes, as he handled most of the battles against their enemies.
A loud gasp occurred as they walked into the venue.
Edmund saw the shocked reactions of the crowd and enjoyed the attention before revealing a wide smile. As a Magic Lord, he mostly saw Supres here.
Just as he felt a surge of superiority, he saw an old man sitting in a wooden rocking chair. His pupils shrank.
The air of superiority disappeared instantly. Edmund didn’t expect to find soone else of Magic Lord level here.
"I don’t know which force he is from," Edmund thought. He then shifted his attention and started interacting with others. Jonah began interacting with the crowd as well.
At the sa ti, Otto had been listening to everyone’s conversations from the start. His job was to record information and identify hostile or non-hostile forces.
When he heard the leader of the Infinite Circle had arrived, his expression beca serious because the man was a Magic Lord.
Old Man Rock also confird the leader’s strength and shared the information with Hank, who was accompanying .
Back in the living area, Hank whispered into my ear. I was surprised but relieved. I had been hoping to et the leaders of the Wizard Associations.
Many had already arrived, and now another important figure was here. I made an excuse and went to et them.
When I reached the entrance, I saw the man in the blue tuxedo surrounded by a crowd.
It was similar to the scene with Holden Barrett, but this ti, the person was a Magic Lord. I confird this using the system function.
As I approached the group, they greeted . I exchanged pleasantries before looking toward the leader.
Edmund saw and looked surprised.
"Boss, he is the shop owner, Frank," Jonah said from his side.
A look of realization dawned on Edmund, and his smile widened further.
"I’m Edmund Smith, leader of the Infinite Circle. It’s nice to et you, Mr. Frank," he said.
"It’s good to have you here," I replied.
After saying that I led him to the gallery room again. The people who had watched the gallery collections have left the room already.
They were now in the living room. So the gallery room was not crowded. As they walked into the room, Edmund’s gaze fell on the precious collections inside the glass container.
He imdiately recognised their worth.
Edmund then said, "Shop owner Frank, it’s a great day for all of Crystal City. From now on, everyone will be visiting our city because of your shop."
Hearing that, I smiled and replied, "You overpraise ."
"I’m telling the truth. Almost all the important people are here. Your na will surely spread to other Satellite cities."
"I doubt they will have anyone of a similar caliber to you," Edmund said.
