About a hundred miles off the coast of Hannes City, Adam found a small isle—commonly known as an islet—to settle down temporarily.
In order to confirm his speculations regarding Headmistress Godfrey, he chose to remain here and wait till she arrived.
Only after he had personally caught her in the act would he entertain the notion of her being the enemy.
To Adam, she ant far too much for him to label her as an enemy without substantive evidence.
Instead of staying within the city, he chose to co to this secluded place because he wished to practice the Astral Tyrant Manual—sothing that would attract a lot of attention.
He sat cross-legged at the center of a large runic formation. The rays of the evening sun bathed his bare upper body in an ethereal glow.
His muscles rippled with energy and seed to co to life every ti he breathed in. Every inch of his skin, tendons, and ligants was brimming with vitality.
The waves crashed against the islet, splashing water over it. But strangely enough, not a single drop landed on Adam.
In fact, not a single drop of water managed to enter the area within the runic formation. He had made it so that nothing disturbed him while he went through the critical transformation.
This was a special runic formation carved by him for the sole purpose of boosting his physical prowess to the next level.
Now that he had beco a Mana Vortex Magus, it was also ti for his physical body to take the next leap.
Unlike Tron, the magical civilizations in the Greater Universe have had countless millennia to research, analyze, and experint on their arcane system.
The vast majority of the Magi in those planets had access to another magical system other than mana extraction.
Taking inspiration from the creatures of the Spirit World who strengthened their soul bodies, the Magi of the Greater Universe developed a system that developed their physical bodies!
This system fell under the Internal Mana System, and was generally known as physique enhancent.
Mana was the ethereal fabric that ran throughout the universe, touching every corner of its existence.
As such, Magi developed two ways to access the mana in their surroundings and tap into its potential.
The External Mana System consisted of manipulating mana to achieve desired effects. It could be categorized into magic spells and mana combat techniques.
The Internal Mana System comprised of extracting mana from the surroundings and subsequently elevating one's essence, resulting in strengthening oneself and advancing through ranks.
It was further categorized into physique enhancent and mana extraction; the forr consisted of strengthening one's body, while the latter required one to gather mana and thodically expand one's reserves.
The Astral Tyrant Manual, of course, had a physique enhancent technique—one that Adam had been using ever since he embarked on the path of a Magus.
The first rank for both physique enhancent and mana extraction was the sa. Mana was extracted from the air and used to nourish the flesh, muscles, bones, organs, and the neural—in that specific order.
From Rank 2 onwards, the two systems diverged.
While the second rank of mana extraction was called Mana Liquefaction, where gaseous energy flowed through mana channels and condensed in the stomach region, the second rank for physqiue enhancent was but a repetition of the first rank!
So was the third rank, and the fourth, and the fifth…
For every rank of the physique enhancent system, one had to nourish their flesh, muscles, bones, organs, and the neural.
It was a simple system, yet extrely difficult.
The difficulty level increased exponentially with each rank. Moreover, a physique enhancent technique that contained a well-developed runic formation was required to even embark down this path.
That is why none of the residents of Tron, or any other planets in the Outer Universe, for that matter, ever went down the path of physique enhancent.
One minor mistake, one small deviation of an angle on the runic formation, or misuse of the smallest of details would result in extrely dire consequences.
Although the risks of practicing physique enhancent techniques were great, the outco was equally fruitful.
Going down this path would allow a Magus to develop a sturdy physique that would be unaffected in the face of magical spells.
Practiced to the highest order, the physique enhancent system could allow a Magus to develop an indestructible body! Or so the legends claid…
In the Greater Universe, one would always find many Magi who chose to go down the path of physique enhancent, unlike in Tron, where Magi were only restricted to the path of mana extraction.
And that is why the Magi from the Greater Universe were far superior to their counterparts from the Outer Universe!
However, because of the extre difficulty of the physique enhancent path, many choose to abandon it further down the line and focus solely on the path of mana extraction.
But the ones who dared to walk both paths earned the right to be called titans among n!
Adam sat calmly at the center of the runic formation. For the ti being, he stopped thinking about all the external problems plaguing him. For the ti being, he removed the heavy weight that bore down on his young shoulders.
He breathed in and breathed out.
Breathed in and breathed out.
Slowly, he beca one with the mana in his surroundings, and gradually, the runic formation on the ground started to light up.
The shapes and symbols on the runic formation served as conduits for the mana in the surroundings, focusing and directing it for a specific outco.
It was complex and precise, allowing for a stronger and more refined magical impact.
Ti around Adam seed to have co to a standstill, and even the waves seemingly quietened down for what was to co.
A gentle gust of wind blew by, flipping Adam's raven hair to the side. Soon, the five magical ingredients—each belonging to one of the five fundantal elents of nature—lit up with a resplendent light.
And then… Adam began.
