Pentagram, the five-pointed star, governed balance over the five fundantal elents that made up the world.
These were just the four basic geotric forms in ritual magic. There were countless more, each more difficult to incorporate than the previous.
The arrangent of these shapes within ritual circles influenced effects. Interlocking patterns, for example, nested circles and layered triangles, created compund effects, while fractrals and spirals attuned rituals to to the primal forces of nature.
Ritual magic relied on precise geotry, runes, and astrological alignnts to channel mana for powerful, large-scale effects.
The model component of a spell was technically a form of ritual magic materialized on a compact scale.
For his advancent in physique enhancent, Adam had carved a simple ritual magic detailed in the Astral Tyrant Manual.
He had inscribed a runic formation on the ground consisting of a triangle, a square, and a pentagram, all contained within a circle.
At each of the points of the pentagram, he had placed different magical ingredients and carved complex runes around them.
One ingredient belonged to the elent of fire, another to the elent of water, and so on.
Most of them were precious ingredients that he had received as gifts from the various factions of the Brotherhood.
The runic formation on the ground lit up with a brilliant light, as did the five magical ingredients.
Soon, the five ingredients slowly disintegrated under the effects of the ritual magic. They transford into pure mana particles that represented each of the five elents.
The five elents of nature levitated in the air and soon gathered around Adam, who was sitting at the center of the runic formation.
They swirled around him, slow at first, but gradually picked up speed. Then, under the effects of the ritual magic, they rged into one and ford sothing pure.
This was similar to the effects brought about by the Five Elental Codex!
The mana fused from the five elents slowly enveloped Adam's body, covering every inch of his flesh.
Adam couldn't help but grimace in pain as the pure mana thoroughly started to wash his flesh. It seeped into the pores, making its way towards his muscles.
The pain was agonizing, and within monts, Adam's body was covered in a layer of blood! But soon, the blood evaporated under the effects of the fused mana as it drilled further into his pores.
After several hours of this bloody torture, the mana finally penetrated through all the pores in his body. Now, the flesh had thoroughly absorbed all the mana and allowed it to reach the muscles.
The mana, now much less in quantity than before, began to nourish every inch of Adam's muscles.
Now, the level of pain increased exponentially for the youth, but he gritted his teeth and continued to revolve the Astral Tyrant Manual.
He wouldn't stop until the effects of this ritual magic had been completed!
Adam's body was once again covered in blood, from head to toe. Yet, he persisted. Every ti his flesh and muscles were torn apart, they beca stronger and more resilient than before.
As the pure mana from the five elents healed these destroyed parts, they beca tougher and full of power.
After another few hours of the repetitive cycle of destruction and repair, the pure mana had managed to nourish every inch of Adam's muscles before finally being used up.
Adam finally opened his eyes and looked at the state of his body. It was covered in blood stains, dead skin, and black impurities.
However, the ritual magic had done its job. In one sitting, he was able to completely nourish his flesh and muscles. Now, all that remained were the bones, organs, and the neural.
Now, his physique enhancent rank was equivalent to his mana extraction rank!
He lowered his head and looked at the ghastly state of his body. It looked like he had just erged from a life-and-death battle. Every inch of his flesh and muscles ached, but at the sa ti, he could feel newfound power coursing through them.
His lips curled into a wide grin, making him look like a pit fiend who had just erged from the bloody depths of Hell.
His clothes had been ripped to shreds due to the intensity of the ritual magic. So without hesitation, he leaped off the islet and dove into the ocean.
Several minutes later, he erged from the waters, looking completely different than before. He climbed the islet and then stretched his limbs.
The light of Selene and Luna illuminated his muscular body that pulsed with strength and vitality.
"The gifts from the old fogies of the Brotherhood ca in pretty handy," he muttered, resting his hands on his waist. "I was able to complete two stages of physique enhancent in one sitting."
But the pain was equally bad. However, it was worth it.
The Astral Tyrant Manual was truly a one-of-a-kind physique enhancent technique.
It altered his body to a cellular level with each advancent, making him stronger, faster, and healthier. It adjusted his body to perfection, allowing him to develop the most optimal physique.
With this latest advancent, not just his physical appearance, but even his temperant had changed.
After Adam's transformation now, facing him, one would feel that he was mysterious, powerful, a being that surpassed all common sense!
The raven-haired youth clenched his fists and felt his newfound strength. "I've grown a little taller… and more muscular than before," he muttered under his breath.
He grasped his hair, that was reaching till his waist now, and couldn't help but chuckle, "It's strange that my hair would grow so long everyti I enhance my physique."
The youth flicked his free hand, conjuring Night Hollow from his earrings, and cut his hair with one swift motion. Now, it reached his shoulders.
Glancing at the strands of his hair, he thought for a few monts before storing them away. He could use them as material components for a new spell that he had in mind.
He conjured a set of white robes and donned them. Then, he sat down on the rocky ground, thinking back to ritual magic just now.
The Astral Tyrant Manual's effects were similar to the effects brought about by the Five Elental Codex.
However, the Astral Tyrant Manual revolved around an elent that was more ancient than even the five fundantal elents that made up the universe.
Adam's dark eyes flashed with a brilliant light, and he muttered, "Space!"
