"Radiant Magic Cannon?"
Li Wei looked confused.
He knew what "Radiant" ant.
He also knew what a Magic Cannon was.
But when the two terms were combined, he was confused.
Literally, it ant a Magic Cannon that could fire Radiant energy.
’But as far as I know,’ Li Wei thought, ’the research lab hasn’t developed a Magic Model for creating Radiant energy at all.’
’Without a Magic Model, how could the Magic Cannon fire Radiant energy?’
The Magic Arrays inscribed on a Magic Cannon are all adapted from Magic Models.
If the Magic Model doesn’t exist, then naturally, the Magic Array can’t either.
’So where did the Radiant Magic Cannon co from?’
Fang Lide explained, "The Radiant Magic Cannon is a type of Magic Cannon that can fire Radiant energy.
It primarily works by converting low-concentration Sunshine and mixing it with a standard Magic Beam, thereby achieving a Radiant-like effect.
The research has now reached its final stage. The experintal Radiant Magic Cannon has been improved to its third model, and all that’s left is figuring out how to mass-produce it.
The Undead Calamity is about to arrive, and the Radiant Magic Cannon will beco a powerful weapon for the Elental Tower against the Undead."
Li Wei asked in confusion, "Since the Radiant Magic Cannon is already well-developed, what do you need for?"
Fang Lide said, "The main issue is that the Radiant Magic Cannon requires ’Sunshine’ as its core to generate a Radiant Magic Beam. The difficulty and cost of acquiring ’Sunshine’ are extrely high.
Even if we used up all the Sunshine in the research lab, we could only build twenty Radiant Magic Cannons at most.
Twenty Radiant Magic Cannons would be completely aningless against an Undead Army that can number in the millions.
We need a lower-cost version of the Radiant Magic Cannon. We have to reduce its reliance on the ’Sunshine’ core as much as possible."
Li Wei was at a loss for words. "I have no experience with Magic Cannons, and I don’t understand any of this. How can I possibly help?"
Fang Lide said, "You can help improve the Mana Circuits and Mana Nodes on the Magic Cannon to increase the Radiant conversion efficiency."
He could see that Li Wei was reluctant.
"Just give it a try," Fang Lide said. "Who knows, you might be able to do it."
"If you play a significant role in the Radiant Magic Cannon research, the Elental Tower will give you a generous reward."
A spark lit up in Li Wei’s eyes. "Will there be Cultivation Cards?" he asked.
Fang Lide chuckled.
"A Cultivation Card is nothing. The Elental Tower will give you sothing far better than that."
"Have you heard of the Fire Elental Interface?" Fang Lide asked.
Li Wei nodded, then shook his head. "I’ve heard of it, but I don’t know the details."
Fang Lide said, "The Elental Space inside the Cultivation Secret Realm is just a small piece cut off from the Fire Elental Interface.
If your contribution is great enough, the Elental Tower might even send you to the Fire Elental Interface.
There, you’ll be able to access the purest Fire Elent and Fire Spirits."
A jolt went through Li Wei.
’Fire Spirits?’
The Fire Elental Spirit was the primary power that ford Li Wei’s Fire Elental Body.
In other words, the Fire Spirit determined the strength of the Fire Elental Body’s Extraordinary Traits.
’If I could get more Fire Spirits, my Fire Elental Body might just evolve.’
’My Extraordinary Traits would beco even stronger.’
’My High Level Fire Elental Body is already very powerful.’
Li Wei couldn’t even imagine what a step beyond that would be like.
’Could I obtain a Tier Four Extraordinary Trait ahead of schedule?’
Li Wei reigned in his thoughts. The idea was wonderful, but reality was harsh.
’Getting Fire Spirits isn’t so simple. Even if I went to the Fire Elental Interface, there’s no guarantee I’d be able to get any.’
’Besides, I’m not even qualified to go to the Fire Elental Interface yet.’
’To earn the right to go to the Fire Elental Interface, I have to make a major contribution to the Radiant Magic Cannon research.’
’The Radiant Magic Cannon research is already in its final stages.’
’Trying to jump in now and make a major contribution would be nearly impossible.’
But Li Wei still wanted to give it a shot.
"Alright. I’ll join the Radiant Magic Cannon research," Li Wei told Fang Lide.
Fang Lide smiled. "Good. Give it your all."
"Lux, you’ll be assisting Li Wei with the research," Fang Lide said, turning to her.
Lux nodded with a hint of resignation. "Yes, of course."
’Originally, Fang Lide had approached her, saying he was going to introduce her to a genius assistant.’
’But now it was the other way around.’
’She was going to be Li Wei’s assistant.’
Still, Lux didn’t mind.
Li Wei had already demonstrated astonishing abilities.
Although Lux didn’t have high hopes for what Li Wei could accomplish in the Radiant Magic Cannon research, she was looking forward to his contributions to the Radiant Magic Model research.
For now, they were just getting a head start on getting used to working with each other.
Fang Lide took Li Wei to the Radiant Magic Cannon research lab.
The Radiant Magic Cannon research lab was also located within the Magic Hall, in one of its branch halls.
Li Wei had never been there before.
Lux, on the other hand, was a frequent visitor.
Her abilities made her a key figure in every research group involved with the Radiant project.
Without the purifying effects of Holy Magic and Light Magic, the power of Radiant energy would be drastically reduced.
The entire Radiant project was developed specifically to counter the Undead.
If it had no effect against the Undead, the research would be considered a failure.
There weren’t many people in the Elental Tower proficient in Light Magic and Holy Magic.
Lux was the only one qualified enough to participate in the research on Sunshine.
CLAP CLAP CLAP!
Fang Lide clapped his hands, drawing the attention of everyone in the room.
He said, "I’d like to introduce a new mber to the Radiant Magic Cannon research team."
Fang Lide hadn’t yet said who it was.
But the mbers of the research team already had objections.
"Chief, the Radiant Magic Cannon research is already in its final stages. There’s no need to add anyone now, is there?"
"That’s right. Adding a new person at this point would be useless anyway."
"Bringing soone else into the research team at this stage probably isn’t a good idea."
Nearly everyone was against it.
No one wanted soone to jump in at the last minute and take a share of the credit.
It was especially unacceptable for soone to get credit just by having their na attached to the project without making any contribution.
Fang Lide ignored their objections and proceeded to introduce Li Wei, who was standing beside him.
"This is Li Wei. From now on, he’s a mber of the Radiant Magic Cannon research team."
"Lux will help him get up to speed on the Radiant Magic Cannon’s research progress."
Seeing that Fang Lide was insistent on Li Wei joining the team, everyone turned to look at him, their eyes filled with displeasure.
They didn’t dare defy Fang Lide’s command, so they could only direct their resentnt at Li Wei.
Soone said sarcastically, "So young... Is he the descendant of so bigwig from the Elental Tower?"
Fang Lide shot the speaker a look and said sternly, "Cohen, watch your tone."
Cohen let out a dry chuckle and said no more.
Fang Lide looked at Lux. "Help Li Wei get acquainted with the research."
Lux nodded. "Understood."
Li Wei spent his first day enduring the team’s scornful looks and being ignored.
He spent the entire day reading research materials on the Radiant Magic Cannon.
And at night, he continued to pore over the research materials in his dreams.
