Li Wei was dropped into a rocky nest by the Firebird Garuda.
And then it was gone.
After what had just happened, Li Wei knew the Firebird Garuda was definitely a creature of Tier Seven or higher.
Otherwise, it couldn’t have suppressed him so completely, leaving him utterly powerless to resist.
Li Wei had even clashed head-on with Tyr, the Tier Five Peak avatar of an Evil God.
Although Tyr had only been at Tier Five Peak after obtaining the Power of the Evil God, his strength was so great that even a Tier Six expert would have been helpless against him.
They had only managed to kill him after his connection to the Power of the Evil God was severed.
Even Tyr, back then, hadn’t made Li Wei feel this helpless.
With such overwhelming power, the Firebird Garuda had to be a Legendary Creature.
At this thought, Li Wei found it laughable that he had once wanted to take on the Legendary Witch Lich.
’A Legendary Witch Lich who has lived for over a thousand years is far more terrifying than a Legendary Creature.’
Li Wei waited for a while, but the Firebird Garuda did not return.
He imdiately began looking for a chance to escape.
He took flight, only to find himself surrounded by a sea of fire.
It stretched as far as the eye could see.
The only safe place was the rocky nest beneath his feet.
Li Wei had already felt the heat of the fiery sea on his way in.
Even protected by his Invisible Armor, he wouldn’t last long if he entered the sea of flas.
The Firebird Garuda had flown more slowly than Li Wei.
If he flew at full speed, he might be able to escape the sea of fire.
But he didn’t know which way to fly.
Flying in the wrong direction, deeper into the sea of fire, was a one-way ticket to death.
Li Wei stood at the edge of the rocky nest, feeling helpless.
’If I can’t escape...’
’Then I just have to find a way to survive for the next nine days.’
’After nine days, the Elental Tower’s Cross-Boundary Teleportation Array will forcibly pull back.’

Li Wei heard footsteps behind him.
He turned to see a Fire Elent Elder clad in a Mage Robe appear before him.
"Human, there is a familiar aura about you."
Li Wei’s expression stirred at the words.
He quickly asked, "Sir, do you know the Mages from the Elental Tower?"
Upon hearing this, a nostalgic look crossed the Fire Elent Elder’s face.
"So, you’re a Mage from the Elental Tower."
A faint smile touched his lips. "I do know many Mages from the Elental Tower, but that aura you carry... it’s not from one of them."
"It’s an aura etched into my very soul."
Hatred flared in the Fire Elent Elder’s eyes.
Li Wei had a bad feeling about this.
’I haven’t run into an acquaintance, I’ve run into an enemy!’
Li Wei rushed to distance himself, explaining, "Please, don’t get the wrong idea. I have no connection to the person you know. I’m just an ordinary, run-of-the-mill Mage from the Elental Tower."
"I’ve never been in contact with anyone from the Fire Elental Plane before, nor have I ever hard a Fire Elental Elf."
Best to play it safe.
The Fire Elent Elder chuckled.
"Relax. I won’t do anything to you. You are, after all, the human brought here by the Holy Beast."
Hearing this, Li Wei breathed a sigh of relief.
"So, uh, who is this enemy of yours? I’ll make sure to stay away from him when I get back."
Having nearly been targeted for revenge, he was determined to get a clear answer.
Li Wei figured it had to be one of the Grand Mages he knew.
Few others would have had the opportunity to make an enemy of a Fire Elent Elder.
He didn’t know that many Grand Mages to begin with.
He could count them on one hand.
Torresta, Haros, Zog Valen, Fang Lide... and Sean, if you stretched the definition.
It was unlikely to be Sean.
He wasn’t a true Mage, so he wouldn’t necessarily have had the chance to interact with a Fire Elent Elder.
’Who could have possibly made an enemy of a Fire Elent Elder from the Fire Elental Plane?’
The Fire Elent Elder threw back his Mage Robe, revealing a hollow chest. His heart had been torn out.
The sight sent a jolt of shock through Li Wei.
It was a good thing he was a Fire Elent Elder, a creature of both Half-Elentalization and flesh and blood. Even without a heart, he could rely on his Elentalization ability to survive. Otherwise, any normal being whose heart had been ripped out would have been dead for who knows how many years.
The Fire Elent Elder said, "Seven hundred years ago, he broke into the Fire Elental Plane and tore out my heart with his own hands."
"Seven hundred years have passed. Even a Legendary Mage should have died long ago."
"So why do you carry his aura?"
The Fire Elent Elder was confused as well.
After seven hundred years, a Legendary Mage should be long dead.
So where did this familiar aura on Li Wei co from?
Li Wei’s heart pounded as he heard the Fire Elent Elder’s story.
’What in the hell!’
’The Fire Elent Elder’s enemy is the Legendary Witch Lich!’
The mont he heard that the incident happened seven hundred years ago and that the enemy was a Legendary Mage, Li Wei imdiately thought of the Legendary Witch Lich.
Other than the Lich, Li Wei had never co into contact with any other Legendary Level Mages.
Li Wei looked at the Fire Elent Elder, not daring to say that the man was still alive.
’Not only is he alive, he seems to be doing quite well for himself.’
’After seven hundred years, not only is he not dead, he’s actually beco much stronger.’
’He’s even trying to find a way to beco human again.’
Li Wei had no intention of saying any of this out loud.
However, the Fire Elent Elder keenly noticed the change in Li Wei’s expression.
He stared at Li Wei, his eye sockets blazing with fires of hatred.
"You know him?"
Seeing this, Li Wei realized he couldn’t fool the Fire Elent Elder.
He had no choice but to tell him about the Legendary Witch Lich.
Upon hearing this, the Fire Elent Elder said hatefully, "Excellent! So he’s still alive. That ans I still have a chance to take my revenge personally!"
Li Wei scoffed internally.
’The guy’s a Legendary Witch Lich who’s been alive for centuries. What are you going to fight him with?’
’Throw yourself at him and hope for the best?’
After a mont, the Fire Elent Elder cald down.
He stared at Li Wei and said, "I need you to help find him."
Li Wei looked troubled. "I can’t do that. I only picked up his aura by accident."
The Fire Elent Elder said calmly, "You don’t have to do anything. He will surely seek you out again. When he does, you just have to summon ."
With that, the Fire Elent Elder handed a Rune Stone to Li Wei.
"This Rune Stone can be used to summon three tis."
"I can help you defeat two enemies of your choosing. But on the third and final use, I must see him."
The Fire Elent Elder didn’t state the consequences of failure.
But Li Wei knew there would be a price to pay.
Li Wei reluctantly accepted the Rune Stone.
He asked, "He’s a Legendary Witch Lich now. What can you do when you see him? You still won’t be able to defeat him."
The Fire Elent Elder said, "It is true that I cannot defeat him."
"After he took my heart, I lost all possibility of breaking through to the Legendary Level."
"However, I possess power comparable to that of a Legend—the Divine Power bestowed by the Fla Dominator!"
Li Wei’s heart skipped a beat.
’Holy crap! That’s Legendary Level combat power!’
’My apologies, Your Excellency!’
Instantly, the Rune Stone in his hand felt priceless, imnsely precious.
This was a chance to call upon a Legendary Level power on two separate occasions.
It could basically solve the vast majority of problems he might face in the world.
Li Wei’s expression shifted, and he said, "Well, there’s the problem that I’m trapped here and can’t get out."
"If I can’t get out, I can’t help you."
The Fire Elent Elder spread his hands, indicating there was nothing he could do.
"I can’t help you. You’ll just have to wait for the Holy Beast to return."
