Lilith’s entanglent.
It was all in preparation for Li Wei’s strike.
They all understood that the best way to deal with the Mushroom Man was with fire.
The blue Fire Serpent suddenly swelled.
Like a snake swallowing an elephant.
It swallowed the tall Mushroom Man whole.
Its belly swelled to dozens of tis its size.
SIZZLE! CRACKLE POP!
The Mushroom Man’s form twisted in agony as it burned within the blue flas.
Its body quickly turned charred and black.
Li Wei’s expression grew grim.
The Mushroom Man’s power had already reached the Tier Four Peak.
Otherwise, it wouldn’t have been able to withstand the blue flas for so long.
BOOM!
The Mushroom Man exploded.
The blue flas were also blasted apart, scattering in all directions.
’Is it dead?’
Li Wei looked at the scene before him, uncertain.
Suddenly, he felt that powerful aura reappear.
The entire cloud of mushroom spores reford into the shape of the Mushroom Man.
Now a massive cloud, the Mushroom Man lunged toward Li Wei and the others.
It intended to poison them all to death.
The toxic mushroom cloud it had beco could even corrode Magic Energy.
Even with their Magic Shields, Li Wei and the others wouldn’t be able to hold out forever.
However, it had underestimated Li Wei’s power.
After transforming into a cloud, the Mushroom Man’s overall power increased, and it beca much more difficult to deal with.
Ordinary attacks were completely ineffective against it.
Even small-scale fire attacks posed no threat.
"Fla Domain!"
Li Wei unleashed his Fla Domain.
Blue flas erupted within the bounds of the Fla Domain.
Any part of the cloud that entered the domain’s range was instantly vaporized, burned to cinders.
Sensing the danger, the Mushroom Man tried to flee.
But with a re thought from Li Wei...
The Fla Domain closed like a great net, enveloping the Mushroom Man in a torrent of fire.
"AHHHH!"
The Mushroom Man was burned to ash in the raging inferno.
Its overall power had increased with its size,
but its Defense Power had weakened.
Especially against a wide-area fla attack, it was virtually helpless.
In the blink of an eye, the giant, cloud-like Mushroom Man was burned to cinders and vanished.
The ground was a total wreck.
Where colorful, poisonous mushrooms once dotted the landscape, only Scorched Earth remained.
The people who had tried to drag Li Wei’s group into their ss had all been intercepted by Evelyn.
By the ti Li Wei finished the battle, Evelyn had already gotten the information she wanted out of them.
Evelyn let the few of them go, then walked over and said, "We’re headed in the right direction. The entrance to the third level of the Poison Dragon Cave is just ahead."
Lilith walked over, extending her hand in front of Li Wei, palm open.
In her palm lay a green Crystal Core.
She said, "The Mushroom Man left this behind."
Li Wei took the green Crystal Core, and as he felt the abundant Life Force within, his face lit up with surprise.
Mushroom n are plant sprites, and there is an extrely small chance for an "Essence of Plants" Crystal Core to form inside them.
To plants, the Essence of Plants is a supre form of nourishnt.
It can greatly accelerate a plant’s growth.
For humans, it is also a precious Magic Material.
It can be used to refine Essence of Life and be crafted into potent Recovery Potions, even a Life-Saving Divine dicine.
"Thanks,"
Li Wei said to Lilith.
Lilith just grunted in acknowledgnt, her expression nonchalant.
Evelyn held up the map she’d obtained from her interrogation. "We pass through three more caverns, then head down to find the entrance to the third level of the Poison Dragon Cave."
Li Wei glanced at the map in her hands and asked, "Is this information reliable?"
Evelyn nodded. "It should be. This is the map they were using themselves. I doubt they’d fake their own map."
"Alright, let’s go take a look," Li Wei said.
The three of them continued onward.
The deeper they went, the less likely they were to encounter anyone else.
Before they even reached the caverns on the map, Lilith had news.
"There’s a deep pit ahead," Lilith said. "My Summoned Creature went down, and I lost contact."
This was a crucial piece of information.
Li Wei and Evelyn exchanged a look, a hint of confusion in their eyes.
The passage between the first and second levels didn’t have this kind of property.
It was just an ordinary tunnel.
’What’s going on up ahead?’
According to Lilith’s description, the pit ahead must have so kind of spatial discontinuity.
Otherwise, there wouldn’t be a situation where sothing goes in but can’t co out.
Of course, there was another possibility.
The pit was so dangerous that even a Shadow Creature had perished after going down.
"Let’s go have a look. Be careful," Evelyn said.
Following Lilith’s lead, the three of them arrived at the edge of the hole where the Shadow Creature had vanished.
The three of them stood at the edge of a deep pit.
Behind them was the underground passage they had just co from.
Before them was a pit so deep it seed bottomless.
Li Wei looked up and saw a small point of light far above.
It was very likely a direct opening to the outside world.
’Just how deep is this place?’
Li Wei dropped a stone down and waited for an echo.
But after waiting for a long ti, he heard nothing.
He didn’t dare to fly down rashly.
’What if there’s a No Flying zone down there?’
’Wouldn’t I just fall to my death?’
Li Wei dropped a Fireball, which descended straight down, illuminating the depths of the pit.
He discovered that the pit’s walls were surprisingly smooth.
It didn’t look like it had been excavated bit by bit, but rather like a tunnel bored straight through the earth by so colossal creature.
The surrounding earth had been compacted to the sides, forming the seemingly bottomless pit before them.
He touched the nearby wall, confirming that the rock was indeed denser and more solid here.
It felt as if it had been compressed by imnse Power.
Li Wei looked at the other two. "What’s the plan?"
"If we fly down, we can’t be sure if there’s a No Flying zone. It’s too risky," Li Wei said.
Evelyn stretched out her hand. A vine sprouted from her palm and rooted itself into the solid rock wall.
She said, "I’ll try to grow the vine downward. It’s worth a shot, but who knows how deep it really goes."
Li Wei said, "I’m less concerned with how deep it is and more concerned with whether there’s a spatial rift down there."
Lilith sent a few more Shadow Creatures down, but they all vanished without a trace.
She couldn’t even sense whether the vanished Shadow Creatures were dead or alive.
Normally, the death of a Shadow Creature would send a wave of fear back to her.
Or at least the sensation of danger.
But now, it was as if the connection had been severed, and the Shadow Creatures simply disappeared.
Lilith had no idea what was happening down there.
RUSTLE RUSTLE RUSTLE!
The vine grew steadily downward. As it lengthened, it sprouted more roots that dug into the rock wall, anchoring it securely.
It was more than strong enough to support the weight of all three of them.
Evelyn’s expression shifted; she felt the end of the vine vanish.
She said, "This is it."
With a wave of her hand, the vine extended two tendrils that wrapped around Li Wei and Lilith.
It then lowered them into the pit.
A mont later, the three of them reached the end of the vine.
Li Wei conjured a ball of light to illuminate the scene below.
It was still a bottomless abyss below them.
However, the vine simply vanished into thin air.
Li Wei took an object and tossed it down. He watched as it passed through a horizontal plane and simply disappeared.
He was now certain: this was a spatial rift.
