"Heh, sure." Listening to her outrageous words, Cang Yue simply let out a mocking laugh. Had she not t Xiao Ruolan, perhaps she might have believed the woman in front of her, but now... She just waited patiently, quietly listening to the story the woman was telling her.
"I don’t expect you to believe ." The woman was surprisingly calm without a hint of annoyance on her face. She simply ignored Cang Yue’s snarky remarks while continuing with her own story.

Just a few minutes ago, when Xiao Ruolan threw Cang Yue into the vortex, inside one of the most luxurious rooms, Jian Yu, who was playing chess with the masked woman, suddenly raised her head before looking in the direction of the ruins. Her eyes seed to see through all the obstructions, directly veering inside the ruins.
"She has entered." With her hand still holding one of the chess pieces in the air, Jian Yu couldn’t help but mutter in a soft breath.
"NOW?" The masked woman was taken aback by this news as she, too, looked in the direction of the ruins, but couldn’t seem to see anything.
"Mmmm..." Jian Yu slowly nodded before adding further, "I put a tracking mark on her, and it suddenly vanished. It could only an that she has entered the ruin."
"Then, shall we too?" The masked woman didn’t even need to remind Jian Yu. Even before she could finish her sentence, Jian Yu simply threw the chess piece on the ground before walking in the direction of the ruin, but she didn’t seem to be in a hurry.
"How are the preparations?" Making her way towards the ruins, she asked in a stiff voice.
"I have taken care of everything." The white masked woman replied before reaching inside her robe and taking out a small glass gem before throwing it towards Jian Yu.
"The formations were laid a month ago when Cang Yue first ca out of the ruins."
"Now, we only need to use this key to activate it and put an end to everything."
"Twenty thousand years..." Catching the glass bead, Jian Yu couldn’t help but mutter softly. "Twenty thousand years have passed."
She couldn’t help but recall countless nights she spent in this place, constantly watching over the ruins, worried sick that one day the thing inside might escape and put an end to the entire Azure Dragon Continent.
So much ti has passed that she has even forgotten how long she had taken care of this thing. How much she sacrificed... how much she gave up... and all her dreams that she had to destroy herself...
But now... now it was all going to finally end.
"Master..."
Jian Yu was so lost in her train of thought that she didn’t even notice that the white masked woman was calling out to her.

It wasn’t until the white masked woman shouted a few tis that Jian Yu ca back to her senses.
"What is it?" She didn’t get annoyed; on the contrary, she was full of smiles. Now that this nightmare was finally going to end, she could rest easy.
"Do..." The white masked woman still seed hesitant. "Do we really need to sacrifice soone?"
"This again?" Even if Jian Yu was in a good mood, she was getting annoyed by the constant whining of the white masked woman beside her. If not for the fact that she was her disciple, she would have slapped her to the ground.
"How many tis have we had this conversation?" Jian Yu asked while raising an eyebrow.
"Haven’t I explained myself enough?"
"Besides... you seem awfully fixated on that lass." Casting a cold glance towards the white masked woman, Jian Yu couldn’t help but let out a cold snort.
"....." The white masked woman wanted to say sothing, but in the end, held back. She rely shook her head with a sigh as she followed behind Jian Yu.
It took them a while to reach the ruins, and once they were in front of the large sword, Jian Yu first took out a small tal plate that was engraved with nurous obscure carvings as she placed it in front of her before making a small cut on her finger and wiping the blood upon it.
In the next instant, the entire tal plate lit up with blinding light as a blurry figure appeared on it.
"When are we going to activate the formation?" Looking at Jian Yu’s action, the white masked woman couldn’t help but ask.
"When the blurry figure of Cang Yue upon this plate will disappear." Jian Yu replied without batting an eye.
"What is this thing?" The white masked woman asked again, but this ti she didn’t receive any answer from Jian Yu, who was now sitting cross-legged on the ground in front of the giant sword with the tal plate in front of her and a glass bead in her hands.
In the end, after looking around for a while, the white masked woman simply closed her eyes and sat there in ditation. Although there were many things that she wanted to say and even discuss with Jian Yu, but she herself knew that no matter what she said, Jian Yu wasn’t going to change her mind.

After listening to the middle-aged woman’s complete story, Cang Yue couldn’t help but ask before speaking further.
"And you want my help to get rid of them and save this world!"
Speaking till here, she looked at the woman in front of her like she was looking at an idiot. Though she didn’t say it out loud, her expression at the mont, as well as her smiling eyes, were enough to display what she was thinking.
"Yes." The middle-aged woman replied with a simple yes.
"And what is it exactly that you want to do?" Cang Yue asked again.
"I want you to accept my legacy. But because the legacy is extensive, it might take you years to fully accept and rge with it."
"Thus, to hasten the process, I will directly imprint it upon your mind."
"Just relax and let your mind rest."
"Do not resist or fight back, and it will all be over in an instant."

"How stupid and gullible do you think I am?" Cang Yue’s face finally had a mocking sneer upon it as she laughed at the middle-aged woman’s words.
"You want to believe that you are giving your legacy and not trying to possess ?"
Cang Yue’s words brought an eerie silence to the scene.
Had she not interacted with Xiao Ruolan and gotten to know about her fate, she would have believed the middle-aged woman in front of her.
After all, the other party had helped her once. She gave her the soul gem, and if that weren’t enough, she even helped her wake Yang Ze up.
Cang Yue’s opinion towards such a person was definitely favourable. In fact, after coming out with Yang Ze, she was even beginning to dream about the potential legacy inside the ruins.
It wasn’t until Xiao Ruolan captured her that she ca to know about the hidden truth.

And now, after talking with the middle-aged woman in front of her, the minute hope that all of this was a misunderstanding has disappeared completely.
At the mont, she fully trusted everything that Xiao Ruolan said to her.
The white masked woman didn’t seem to react after hearing Cang Yue’s words as she rely looked at her in dead-silence.
"Are you really that ungrateful to not help the people of this world?"
"This world that gave you birth, fed you, clothed you, gave you everything that you could have dread of... You don’t want to repay that?"
"Heh." Cang Yue rely scoffed in response.
"Ungrateful one, aren’t we?" By now, the middle-aged woman has dropped all pretences as her voice turned cold.
"Showing your true colours already?" Cang Yue had a constant smile on her face as she leisurely looked at the middle-aged woman in front of her. Even though she knew she was no match against such a person and her fate wasn’t going to be pretty, she still laughed and mocked the woman. This was her pride... this was her heart, and this was the only thing she could do at the mont.
"A pity." The middle-aged woman rely let out a gentle sigh. "I thought that the two of us would co to an understanding."
"And how’s that going?" Cang Yue rely laughed in response.
"..." The middle-aged woman simply shook her head as she began to tap the table in front of her. Even though the truth was out, she still hasn’t given up hope.
"Even if you don’t believe , the world still needs your help." Taking a sharp breath, she spoke further.
"Yes. I need to take over your body to save this world. But I promise you that after my work is done, I will leave your body."
"Think about it... not only will your cultivation increase by leaps and bounds, but you also will be able to gain the complete legacy."
"It is a once-in-a-lifeti chance."
"Heh." Cang Yue couldn’t help but laugh once again."You talk big for soone who is just a parasite."
"Give you my body willingly?" Cang Yue gazed at the middle-aged woman from top to bottom before speaking further. "Do you think I am a three-year-old child?"
What a joke... Cang Yue didn’t believe a single word coming out of the woman’s mouth. Giving her the excuse of saving the world was the funniest joke that she had ever heard in her life.

"Go fuck yourself."
Cang Yue’s words reverberated throughout the scene as she threw the cup of tea in her hand towards the woman sitting in front of her, but before the cup could even reach her, it shattered mid-air before disappearing into thin air.
"A pity." The middle-aged woman rely let out a soft sigh.
"I thought by having a proper conversation, the two of us might reach an argunt, but now..."
"It was a mistake to think that soone like you would have the brains to understand what is at stake."
The woman’s voice didn’t change as she spoke. Her gaze was as still as the ocean, and her eyes stayed constantly on Cang Yue.
"Since that is the case..." She simply tapped in front of her, towards Cang Yue, and in that instant, Cang Yue felt the entire world crashing down upon her. It was as if she were a re ant that was about to be crushed by the sky.
She wanted to move, but no matter how hard she tried, she just couldn’t.
Her body was fixated in its place as she struggled in vain while the middle-aged woman’s figure disappeared from her initial position and appeared directly in front of her.
"What the..." Cang Yue didn’t even have ti to shout when the world around her blurred once again, and this ti she found herself tied to a pillar with nurous iron chains binding her completely.
She wanted to open her mouth to speak, but the mont she opened her mouth, another iron chain appeared, wrapping around her mouth, a small part of it inside her mouth, while parting her lips and teeth.
"Now then..." The woman was already standing in front of Cang Yue as she slowly reached towards Cang Yue before tapping on her forehead.
