He Became A Monstrous Genius After Obtaining A Time Dilation Artifact Chapter 360. Helpless
" Oh my God! This Xyra Ashton is extrely terrifying."
" Did you see that!"
" She killed that terrifying creature?"
" What kind of skill is that?"
" I’ve never seen her use it before!"
" Damn!"
" These are the kind of monsters that will be banding against Kailen Darkhaven, and his society?"
" He’s good as dead right?"
" Are you kidding ? I’m sure Kailen Darkhaven has sothing at play. I trust him. That guy is always one step ahead."
" Tch, spoken like a classic fangirl."
" What’d you say, bitch?"
" Nothing, bro. Chill."
As these conversations were happening in the outside world, Esimo and Xyra’s parents were in the Ashton Estate, bearing expressions of worry on their faces.
" What am I gonna do? It’s inevitable that my babies will try to be at each other’s throats."
Their mother, emotional, spoke, already perceiving the outco when her kids t. From the issues that arose between them, even when they were at ho in the clan, it was obvious that this outco she was imagining would ensue.
" Our daughter is stronger than our son, and she’s completely hell bent on eliminating him, even after he signed rune oaths to prove that he wants nothing to do with the family inheritance. She wants to take advantage of the society wars to probably do that."
Their father voiced, calm and collected, radiating an aura of authority, yet his wife knew him. Beneath that calm visage, lancholy, disappointnt and pain in himself shimred.
Instead of lashing out at her husband for letting the relationship between their children escalate to this point, she understood it was not his fault.
Her husband may have been chosen to be the clan leader, but he didn’t start the clan, nor was he allowed to interfere with clan traditions, such as the battle for the clan inheritance and clan leader position—Those old monsters / clan ancestors wouldn’t permit that.
They were there to ensure that such clan tradition and protocols were observed after all.
And those old monsters were too powerful to be ssed with.
Only, their death and the elimination of their two children, awaited if they tried anything stupid.
They could only helplessly swallow their grievances and go through the motions.
The least they could do was protect their son from their daughter when they were in the clan.
But now that Esimo was in uncharted waters, he was on his own when it ca to his sister.
The couple had mixed feelings about the whole thing.
" We can’t do anything about the situation. We can only helplessly watch as our children are at each other’s throats, despite being revered as leaders over a powerful hegemon in this empire."
Their mother sighed helplessly, plopping into the embrace of her husband.
The man, firm, softly caressed her hair.
" One mont I’m thinking about how soone should kill our daughter so that we do not have to face the pain of watching her kill her own brother."
He sighed, wife looking at him with a soft, non-judgental gaze.
She felt the sa way.
He furthered painfully, " In another mont, it hits , that she is my child too, my daughter, and soone else killing her would be as detrintal to observe as her killing her brother, or her brother, finding an impossible way to kill her."
Tears of his wife soiled his clothes, like drops of water.
She sniffed, voice lancholic.
" Not that we are ones to judge."
She furthered, voice shaky, with gaps in between, " The only reason ....why you did not end up like them is because your elder siblings were not interested in the clan inheritance in the first place, inasmuch as they were stronger than you."
Shawn’s distant, lancholic gaze appeared in her pupils.
A tear drop fell, then she added, " But our daughter.. What is wrong with her?... She used to be so... gentle, and kind... what happened to her?"
Shawn sighed, gaze distant, chest a solace for his weeping wife.
" I have no idea, Nick.. I have no idea."
She held his hand firmly, then voiced with worry.
" Even if for so miraculous reason they don’t encounter each other, what if soone kills her... or him?"
" If it’s soone else we will hunt them down and kill them. But if Kailen Darkhaven kills our daughter, we won’t pursue the matter, no matter how painful it will be for us.
Because it would be in our son’s interest, and will be akin to our son killing his sister since she intended to kill him first."
Nick brushed her hands through her hair in a frustrated manner, and massaged her forehead.
Shawn was calm, and gave her ti to digest what he said.
With renewed, collected deanor she sighed, adding, " Even if we wanted to do sothing against Darkhaven, we’d risk offending the Atrexians, the alchemy association, the runesmith Association, the Long Hai training hall, and Ross Kadn.
That’s not a risk we should take. Plus, we’d destroy the relationship between him and our son; from academy sources, it seems they are good friends."
She sunk into the armchair then added,
" Most importantly, going after him will make Esimo hate us.
He will think that he finally found a friend who managed to help him get rid of soone who has been after his life for a long ti and instead of appreciating the person, we went after the person instead."
Under her husband’s confirmatory nod, she added,
" He’d even think we do not value his life if we went after the person who technically saved it."
The couple ca to a final decision.
If any other person killed their son or daughter during the society wars, they wouldn’t hesitate to bid their ti and end the said entity one day.
However, if Kailen Darkhaven sohow miraculously managed to kill their daughter during the society wars, they’d not pursue the matter.
The couple comforted one another about how complicated their lives were at the mont—hands tied and unable to do anything to prevent the possible tragedy of either one or both of their children.
Even the powerful had tis where they were powerless.
They found solace in each other’s embrace.
