Coincidentally, that was also when Nova, Skylar, and Eva finished their fight and ca to see what was happening at the front.
Arriving at the front of the battlefield, the first thing they saw was the bodies surrounding their comrades and Azreal and Olivia standing with their backs to the carriage
Their faces only held expressions of disappointnt and mild intrigue
Wasting no ti, Skylar imdiately walked right up to both Azreal and Olivia
"You two, I thought you were going to be joining the fight, but, but you didn’t even look their way"
Azrael rely shot him a glance before replying with, "They weren’t interesting, plus you looked like you had it, did you not?"
"Yeah that’s true; we didn’t need your help, so I guess you’re right"
At the sa ti as this argunt was started and quickly ended, Nova seed to lay her eyes upon sothing that managed to pull her attention and interest imdiately
Her ice-cold expression lted away, replaced with a look that practically scread excitent
Running up to Olivia, she placed her hands on her shoulders, looked deep within her beautiful pink eyes before saying
"Miss... well, whatever your na is, may I please see that magnificent masterpiece you have in your hands!"
Olivia was montarily shaken as the woman ran up to her and practically shouted right in her face, and so was everyone else around her
Well, that was until they looked down and saw what she was talking about, at which point they imdiately understood what was going on.
Well, everything is understood except Azreal and the one being subjected to her shouts Olivia
"What are you talking about?" She truly was confused; as far as she knew, she didn’t have any masterpieces, well, except for her body and her mind and her personality and...
She could go on forever
"Am talking about this, of course what else"
Seeing that she had no idea what she was referring to, Nova pointed down upon it, drawing her attention towards what she considered a true masterpiece
In her hand was a sword, which could be classified as a dadao, it was truly massive compared to the regular weapons of that classification
The weapon was completely pitch black from the handle down to the blade, so black in fact that it was almost like it was completely made of shadow with the way it drank in the surrounding light.
But this was no weapon made from elental affinities, no those weapons were just as good as the owner’s intent and strength and even then they held way too many imperfections to be considered a good blade
This was a true masterpiece and Nova knew it
"May I please touch it just for a second" She had to feel it, sll it, examine it
"Sure" giving her the sword she found herself laughing, this completely obsessed woman was the very sa one who had been completely self-absorbed in the carriage
It was almost cute
Taking the weapon from her hands Nova was completely imrsed she ran her hands from the handle to the tip of the blade
The tal it was made of was cold to the touch, but sohow she couldn’t completely set her hands upon it, it was almost as if sothing was between her and the blade
No it wasn’t just the blade it was the entire thing it was strange while she could feel it, at the sa ti she couldn’t
But if anything that just made it all the more interesting
She began to run her hands all over it but that wasn’t nearly enough as she brought it up to her nose and began to sll it
It slled of blood, sickness, and a type of material she didn’t know, she was almost completely certain it was a type of tal but she had never co across anything like it before
The sll of blood seed to be coming from this tal too as while yes she could sll the blood of others, fresh blood from today and even years ago that wasn’t what she was slling from the tal, it was the tal itself that was producing the scent of blood and sickness
It was strange and she loved it
Moving it from her nose she next brought the blade to her palm before slowly rubbing it across it and even this slow movent was enough to draw blood from her palm
But looking at her face one would never guess that she had just been cut as her expression was one of pure euphoria while looking at the magnificent weapon in her hand
Olivia couldn’t help but look at the group they had been traveling with with a look on her face that held nothing but questions
But she decided to ask the first that ca to her head and coincidentally Azreal asked the very sa one at the very sa ti
"Is she a masochist or sothing?"
And to their surprise, they actually got an answer
Turning towards them while picking up the bodies of the surrounding dead bandits kyro said
"While I can see why you would think that given what she is doing" he stopped to look at her as she continued to examine the sword while appearing to shake in happiness
Before continuing
"She is actually not or at least that’s what she says, she says she just enjoys seeing things being put to their intended use"
"All in all she’s just weird" continued Selena while helping her husband pack the bodies in the carriage
"And why are you taking those with us"
"Well lad the adventures guild started to give out pretty good rewards for bandits brought in dead or alive you see these guys are really starting to get on the king’s nerves"
"So we can’t just leave them here for so other lucky fool to co across them now can we, that’d be like us handing out free silver and we are just not that generous"
"Guess that makes sense"
"Anyway you lot ready to get moving again, where close to town only five hours away so let’s get moving"
Taking the sword back from nova they all pack back up into the carriage as it started moving again
And they continued their Journey like this until they eventually reached the town of Grayskeep
After which the carriage made one more stop before going to the adventurers’ guild.
After they enter the town they let Azreal and Olivia out at the entrance at their request
Turning back towards the front of the carriage where Kyro sat holding on to the reins of the horses Azrael asked once more
"So you said we’ll find the shop if we make two rights this way and a left at the next alley we see"
"Yep just follow that rough t and you’ll find the best pawn shop in town, well except for the guild but as you said you don’t want to sell to the guild"
"Ok thanks"
Right as the two of them were about to start walking off kyro spoke again
"Wait since you said you’ll be in town for a while, how about you co on so quests with us, we could use the help, and well you look like you couldn’t do with so of the money so how about it?"
Azreal stopped turned around and looked him deep within his eyes examining his expression and everything else about him
Looking to see if there was any malicious  intent while simultaneously thinking of his and Olivia’s current situation before answering him
"We’ll think about it"
"Well whenever you make up your mind you can usually find us at the adventures guild in the day so you can find us there"
And with that, he turned the carriage in the opposite direction moving towards their destination
Turning towards his younger brother Skylar who had joined him at the front he asked
"Are you sure that was the right decision inviting them to join us, we didn’t see them fight during the bandit attack and even if they look strong we can’t go purely based n looked haven’t I told you that"
"Yeah I know but trust their strong maybe even stronger than us, the man I saw him decapitate one of the bandits with his bare hands without ever looking and I have no doubt that the woman is just as powerful"
"Well if you say so but I find it hard to believe, and they are for sure not stronger than "
While Azreal and Olivia began to move toward the pawn shop
The road was filled with rchants selling all kinds of things from fruit to random knick-knacks
All the stuff they couldn’t afford
Well not for long as they arrived at the shop following Kyros’ directions
Looking up it had a sign saying Jon’s shop, not a very creative na but as they say, the gold is often hidden in plain sight
Opening the door they ca face to face with an old man sitting behind a counter
Azrael wasted no ti imdiately going up to him before saying, " Old man we got sothing to sell.
