Now reading: Chapter 246: I Don’t Know the Taste of the Skewers from Her Food Livestream Broke the Galaxy, a Sci-fi novel by Xiang Weixun.

After everyone had left, Jiang Qiuqiu lay in bed alone.

The covers were warm, but she couldn’t sleep.

’I’ve probably got too much energy. And I don’t have to get up so early tomorrow.’ She decided to relax for a little while longer.

Her happy place was her own little online community.

As soon as she logged in today, her screen was flooded with posts about "I don’t know what XX tastes like."

[I don’t know what the skewers taste like!]

—I hate this way of dividing up the food!

The post started with a tone full of resentnt.

—Is this supposed to give soone with decision paralysis a heart attack?

—I’ll hate this thod for the rest of my life (unless I get one of everything). Then I’ll imdiately take that back, sob. Today, I managed to grab radish, bamboo shoots, fish balls, spinach, potatoes, and lettuce... So many vegetables. They looked colorful, but I felt like there was no way they could be that tasty. (Don’t argue with .)

—After all, you just dip them in so plain-looking broth for a second and that’s it! (How could that possibly be good?)

—But I was very quickly proven wrong. After I grabbed them, they turned out to be so delicious!!!

But the more delicious it was, the more the original poster was tearing their hair out.

—Now I’m just curious, so curious about the other skewers. What do they taste like? I can barely sleep because I can’t taste them.

— 1

—You said exactly what I was thinking. I’m so curious about the other skewers...

Quite a few people were just as conflicted as the original poster.

If you hadn’t seen it, you wouldn’t know. But once you had, it was impossible to forget.

Because so many people chid in, the topic—[I don’t know what the skewers taste like]—actually went viral and was pushed to the top of the food section’s trending list.

But it was late and quiet, and everyone was just there to vent. No one was really paying attention to the rankings.

Jiang Qiuqiu didn’t notice either. She was scrolling through funny posts.

One was from a student nad Yang Shan.

[You guys should be grateful you could grab six different kinds! Do you know what I had to eat?! AHHHH!]

—I don’t get why my grandparents had to pick so many radishes!!??

—They said that after failing to grab anything many tis before, they wanted to guarantee they got sothing. So, they strategically grabbed two radishes first, figuring that getting six radishes in total wasn’t a loss.

Okay, fine, you were so forward-thinking, you grabbed what you grabbed. Eating two radishes wouldn’t have been a big deal.

—But!

The poster then uploaded a series of pictures.

The first showed a happy family sitting together.

In this day and age, not many people still sat at round tables.

Below it were many comnts from other users:

[Nice, the OP’s family still maintains the customs of Ancient Earth.]

[It has such a hoy feel. It’s a sha my family isn’t that big. When we sit together, it feels so sparse, and there’s no atmosphere.]

Then ca the second picture.

It was a close-up of the skewers everyone had grabbed.

[Sure enough, they all have two big radishes. Looks like the OP doesn’t like radishes themselves; they didn’t take any.]

Next, he posted the third picture.

It was another picture of the skewers on the table, only—

[???]

—I’m speechless. If you guys love radishes so much, then just eat your two! Why did you have to trade with ? Sob.

—Even if the radishes are delicious, I don’t want to eat four of them.

Under the mandatory enforcent of his parents and grandparents, Yang Shan conducted a "friendly" exchange of radishes with everyone.

And so, he got four radishes.

—I really want to know what the other skewers taste like!

[That’s rough.]

[Shouldn’t have picked six skewers, should’ve gotten one of each kind.]

[...In your dreams.]

The number of people in the discussion continued to grow. The ranking of the [I don’t know what the skewers taste like] thread also kept rising, getting seen by more and more enthusiasts within the community.

At that sa mont, another topic—[Wang Henli’s Skewers Are Amazing!]—also shot up the food section’s trending list!
