Xia Qingqian bit her lip, seeing her incompetence at just making coffee and getting herself hurt. Her heart was filled with mixed emotions, questioning her own uselessness.
"I’m sorry, I accidentally knocked over the coffee pot," she apologized, pain apparent in her voice, as she turned to pick up the knocked-over coffee pot. "I’ll remake it."
"Miss Xia, let do it." Maria stepped forward, quickly taking the coffee pot before Xia Qingqian could, placing it on the table, and then grabbed Xia Qingqian’s hand, exclaiming in shock, "Your hand is all red and blistered!"
Uncle Quan intended to order Ye Feng to bring the dicine chest and clean Xia Qingqian’s wound, but as he was about to speak, Ye Feng had already brought the chest, swiftly entering and skillfully opening it to clean her wounds one by one.
"Is it really that difficult for you to make a cup of coffee?" A chilling and harsh voice drew near, frightening Xia Qingqian so much she promptly withdrew her hand from Ye Feng’s.
She grimaced with pain, tremblingly calling out, "...Young Master."
"Young Master, please don’t scold her. She didn’t spill it on purpose." Uncle Quan and Ye Feng spoke in unison, defending Xia Qingqian.
"This stupid woman! I can’t even understand why I agreed to buy you in the first place!" He stepped forward, grabbing Xia Qingqian’s hand before taking the tweezers from Ye Feng’s hand, dipping a small piece of cotton in iodine.
As Beitang Yao gently placed the iodine-soaked cotton on Xia Qingqian’s wound, her hand trembled slightly, wanting to pull her hand back.
"Don’t move!" Beitang Yao snapped at her, then continued clearing her wound, carefully breaking the blisters and applying dicine.
The whole ti, Ye Feng, Uncle Quan, and Maria watched in astonishnt, thinking they must be possessed tonight! No, it’s more like they’ve been possessed for the past couple of days!
Though the Young Master showed indifference towards Xia Qingqian outwardly, inside, he was deeply worried, far more anxious than anyone else. He buried his tenderness under those cold words; indeed, the Young Master always treats others with aloofness, rarely caring for them.
