Azazel looked us over and nodded slowly. "I see. You need a place to train. But three days isn't exactly a lot of ti, is it?"
He was right. No matter how much we hurried, we couldn't expect a massive leap in power in just seventy-two hours, even with the "Sword Saint"—the strongest swordsman from another world—overseeing us.
But Morris-san's next words caught us completely off guard.
"Exactly. That's why I'm asking you. I need a training ground where ti flows differently than the outside world. I assu you can craft sothing like that? Say... one hour out here equals one month inside?"
"——! I see where you're going with this," Azazel said, rubbing his chin thoughtfully.
I felt a surge of hope at the suggestion. A place where ti was dilated. It was likely the sa principle Qlippoth had used during the attack on Aulos Academy. If we had that, we could actually get the training we needed.
Rias suggested, "Could we perhaps travel to Ast-Arde and train there? When Issei was there, three years passed for him while no ti passed here. If we did the sa—"
Azazel shook his head. "I thought of that for a second, but with Issei unconscious, we can't use that route. Besides, we still haven't fully demystified the principles behind the dinsional rifts. Just because it happened twice doesn't an it'll work a third ti. It's safer to build it here like Morris suggested. Lavinia, contact phisto and have him send over the ritual formulas. He'll know the best spells for this."
"Understood," Lavinia replied. "But those spells consu an incredible amount of power. They aren't sothing you can just whip up on the fly."
Warping ti was a feat that usually required a massive circle of mages and exhaustive preparation. Back at the Academy, legendary dragons like Azi Dahaka and Apophis had used a replica of the Red Dragon Emperor's power to maintain such a barrier. The energy requirent was staggering.
"I know," Azazel said. "I've already factored that in. Miwa, Alice—I'll need your help. In your Shin-ki forms, you should have enough power to maintain the barrier, though we'll have to keep the physical area small."
"Yeah, leave it to us," Miwa said.
"No problem," Alice added confidently. "You're in good hands."
In their Shin-ki forms, their power rivaled that of high-tier gods. With two god-class entities fueling it, the feat was actually possible.
Azazel looked at us all one last ti. "These three days will decide everything. For us... and for the world."
[Miwa's Perspective]
About an hour had passed since Azazel-san left with Rossweisse-san and Gasper-kun.
While waiting for further instructions, I was tasked with reviewing the spell formulas they'd sent over, calculating the required mana density and structural integrity. I was currently running the numbers in Big Brother's hospital room, but...
"Honestly... if we weren't able to go Shin-ki, there's no way just two people could handle this," I muttered.
I knew it would be a lot, but this amount of mana was insane. I guess it depends on the scale and the intensity of the ti dilation, but still...
"Ugh... this is going to be brutal," Alice-san groaned, her earlier confidence wavering. "Morris and the others are going to be going wild in there, so the barrier needs to be incredibly reinforced..."
Setting up the barrier was fine. The problem was Morris-san swinging his sword inside it. He looked like the type of guy who could accidentally slice through reality if he got too excited.
But even a man that powerful couldn't lay a finger on Trihexa. No matter how many tis he struck, the monster just regenerated. And with their numbers growing, we couldn't focus all our attention on just one threat.
Irina-san was helping with repairs in Heaven, and Reyna-san was doing the sa at Grigori; it sounded like it would be a while before they could join us. Asia-san, along with Koneko-chan and Xenovia-san as her guards, had also headed to Grigori to treat the wounded. Apparently, they were heading to Heaven after that.
As for the others, they were busy dealing with the panicked citizens across the Underworld. As a mber of 'D×D' and the future head of the House of Gremory, Rias-san was being swamped by people looking for hope or answers. Akeno-san and Kiba-kun were staying by her side to help.
The rest of the Hyoudou peerage was active too. Under Ravel-san's leadership, they were out suppressing riots in various districts. Dil-chan had gone with them.
I turned to Alice-san with a sudden thought. "Nina-san went with them too, right? Is she going to be okay?"
