224: Chapter 148 Rise of the Rabbit and Fall of the Hawk_1 224: Chapter 148 Rise of the Rabbit and Fall of the Hawk_1 The purplish-brown sour jujube tree was covered in sharp hard thorns, forming a natural wolf fang club.

The fishman weighed the club in his palm, then struck it hard towards the red robe wizard in front of him.

Zheng Qing’s body floated to the other side in a bizarre posture, avoiding the fishman leader’s attack.

“Hiss…

So…

I hate wizards…

Hiss!” Iseni bared his sharp teeth, a hint of impatience showing in his round rolling eyes.

Since freeing himself from the wizard’s binding spell, he had swung his arm six or seven tis, but hadn’t hit the slippery young wizard even once.

“…

If we were in water…

hiss…

I’d give you two rows of dorsal fins…

hiss…” Iseni panted, struggling to open his mouth wide, trying to draw more moisture from the air.

“I wouldn’t go in the water to bother you.” Zheng Qing slumped on the ground, pulled a bittersweet smile, and pulled the vine around his waist.

The six or seven thumb-thick vines circled around his waist, and the other ends reached out in all directions, hooking onto the branches of several big trees in the forest.

It was thanks to the flexible pull of the vine that he barely escaped the fishman’s continuous attacks.

“I can’t let you use your weapon anymore.” The young student murmured, focusing on the ‘wolf fang club’ in the fishman’s hand.

Iseni smacked his lips, felt the dry sting at his gill pouch eased sowhat, opened his dorsal fin, and swung the club again.

This ti, Zheng Qing didn’t use the vines behind him, but rolled and crawled to dodge the attack.

The heavy club brushed against his body, slamd heavily on the ground, and splashed a piece of mud.

Zheng Qing stared at the sour jujube club close at hand, without blinking an eye.

It wasn’t that he was brave enough to remain calm in the face of a looming catastrophe.

But because when casting a spell, a wizard must capture the opponent with his sight to accurately release the spell at that position.

Two large vines erged from the ground and instantaneously bound the fallen club to the ground.

The fishman cocked his head, tugged, and failed to pull the club out, instead, more vines drilled out of the ground and tied them on the club.

Zheng Qing sighed a little with relief.

Iseni turned his head to look at the young wizard a few steps away, smirked, simply dropped the club in his hand, leaped like a fish, and smashed it over with a bowl-sized fist.

A swelling and falling tidal feeling pulsed with his fist, as if responding to the pounding of the blood vessels and heart, making one’s heart palpitate.

Zheng Qing’s pupils contracted suddenly.

Fishn were very strong.

He had a very deep impression of this.

When he enrolled, he led a group of freshn in a tug of war with a fishman on the land by the lakeside of Bell Lake, but he was nearly dragged into the lake by that fishman.

That fishman’s casual look still lingered in his mind.

‘I absolutely can’t get hit by this fist’, Zheng Qing’s expression was sowhat twisted, his heart pounding madly in his chest.

‘I’d be smashed into a pulp!’

However, accompanied by the rushing wave sound from Iseni’s body, a strange sense of force flowed around.

Zheng Qing was horrified to find himself as if bound by sothing, his movents as sluggish as if he were stuck in a swamp.

As if sensing the host’s crisis, the law book in his hand erupted with a strong green light, illuminating the dark corners of this forest unusually brightly, even overshadowing the moon hanging in the sky.

The group of blind birds took advantage of this short daylight, flapped their wings quickly, and fled to the distance in panic.

The Tree Elves hiding in their nests finally showed a hint of focus in their eyes.

They poked their heads out in confusion, and then retracted them back into the cave even quicker.

A few agile ones went so far as to pull off several thin twigs from outside to block the cave entrance.

Iseni, who was lunging at Zheng Qing, bore the brunt of it.

For the Fishn, who prefer a dark environnt, there’s nothing more detestable than light.

A strong green light flashed before its eyes, causing it to montarily lose vision, and even its sense of direction beca disoriented.

The fist it swung based on mory hit nothing but air.

The green light ca quickly and left just as fast.

A few seconds later, Zheng Qing was the first to regain his sight.

He looked at the Fishman a few steps ahead of him, who stumbled due to exerting too much force.

He was montarily dazed.

His muscles instantly relaxed and a torrent of sweat burst from his pores, soaking his back in an instant.

Not far away, the large Fishman leader closed his eyes tightly, growling angrily and flailing his arms around, tugging at the branches causing a whistling noise and stirring up a stench from his punches.

This stench accumulated in the air, making it suffocating.

But the cost student didn’t complain at all.

He took deep breaths of this normally nauseating air, his mind filled with relief for having escaped that punch.

The vine at his waist, like a tad boa, obediently slid to the ground.

Zheng Qing looked at the pile of vines at his foot with gratitude.

If it weren’t for these vines pulling him back a few steps seconds before, even if the light had blinded the Fishman, he would still inevitably have been smacked into a pancake.

Not far away.

Under the big willow tree.

The two old n watching the fight were clearly surprised by what was happening before their eyes.

“Quite astonishing…” The Old Fishman, holding his walking stick, looking up at the moon with his big, cloudy eyes, his beard softly rising and falling in the breeze.

“Indeed.” Elder Ferna retracted the foot he had advanced, replying succinctly.

He almost intervened in the fight between the two young n.

Even he could not help but squint his eyes at the rapid changes in the fight that just occurred.

“Young people these days.” The old janitor caressed his wooden cane, slowly shaking his head, seemingly lost in thought as he sighed.

“Is that Ge Zhitianxi?” The Old Fishman turned his face, quite interested, staring at the two young n not far away with his unfocused eyes, his tone casual, “I rember the wizards in the past used it to tie up prey.”

“Your so-called past was at least fifty years ago,” Elder Ferna retorted sarcastically.

“Young people’s creativity always exceeds the old people’s imaginations.

If you knew what these kids do with The Wing of Zhu now, you wouldn’t ask such a foolish question.”

“From that punch just now, it looks like little Iseni didn’t fully develop his bloodline,” the Old Fishman changed the subject, “Without a real power-guide to instruct him, it’s already quite good for him to reach this level.”

“Gongsun Bing from the Under the Moon Council is very good at this.” After a long silence, Elder Ferna finally spoke, “Perhaps I could ask him for you.”

“I thought you hated supernatural beings,” The Old Fishman was visibly surprised by the old janitor’s suggestion.

“I indeed hate supernatural beings,” Elder Ferna said sternly, his voice harsh, “But I hate demons more…When the whispers of the wind stir and a storm is brewing, I would not make irrational decisions based on personal preference.”

“That sounds more like soone from the top college,” The Old Fishman chuckled, his long whiskers happily trembling at the corners of his mouth.
