Now reading: Chapter 262 - 262 186 Registration1 from High School of Demon Hunting, a Fantasy novel by Solemn Knight.

262: Chapter 186 Registration_1 262: Chapter 186 Registration_1 After submitting a host of docunts, such as photocopies of his student card, personal records, recomndation letters from professors, Zheng Qing finally acquired the application form for the university’s Student Council.

The personal information part at the beginning of the application was easy to complete.

In his decade-long academic career, Zheng Qing had filled out countless pieces of personal information.

Apart from his age and experiences that differed each ti, he was confident that he could fill out the rest blindly – being careful not to list ‘won’ under hobbies.

Until he encountered two unfamiliar words.

Bloodline.

He nibbled at the end of his pen, cautiously scanning his surroundings.

This was the office exclusively owned by the university’s Student Council.

To accommodate the influx of applicants, only the large black desk in the center of the room was retained.

Intricate instrunts, usually present in the room, were cramd into glass cabinets and haphazard piles of docunts were stuffed into cardboard boxes and stacked away in the corners.

The council’s officers had also moved so long classroom desks into the room, neatly arranged for the applicants to complete their application forms on.

At this mont, behind the black desk in the center of the room, several council mbers clustered together, conversing in low voices, and the young male and female wizards present filled their application forms, striving to present a splendid array of information.

Silver-grey curtains, released from their hooks by little elves, kept the hot afternoon sun out.

Everything was peaceful and orderly.

“Excuse ,” Zheng Qing raised his brush, breaking the silence in the room.

He asked in a soft voice, “Are there any mistakes on this application form?”

“Mistake?” A female student with a ponytail, sitting behind the black desk, stood up nervously, repeating, “Where?

Where is it?

What word is mistaken?”

The other students filling out their forms nervously lifted their heads and looked at him.

Zheng Qing, sounding a little weak, pointed to the last part of the personal information.

“This ‘Bloodline’,” he said in a low voice: “Was the word ‘line’ written incorrectly?

Shouldn’t I put ‘Bloodline’ or ‘Blood Type’ here?”

The witch with a ponytail glanced at the application form, then let out a light sigh.

“Never mind, there’s no mistake!” she stood up straight, assuring everyone around her.

Like lifting a weight off their shoulders, the other applicants buried their heads back into their application forms.

Zheng Qing could feel his face flushing.

“Um, you might not have encountered it before..,” the witch with the ponytail seed to sense his discomfort and comforted him: “This item is only individually listed in universities like ours or at large congregation areas of wizards.”

“‘Bloodline’ interprets the origin of your bloodline.

You could also understand it as the origin of your blood.”

“There are many special bloodline inheritances in the wizard world.

There are common ones like the Blood Race, werewolves, fox race, ghosts, zombies; so less common, like wizards who mix the blood of certain extraterrestrial races such as the Danube people and the multi-arm race.”

“In most cases, such information is personal and no wizard would directly ask about it.”

“However, the Student Council of our university is a considerable force of interest in the wizard world and we are even vested with the rights to listen in at major conferences of the wizard alliance.”

Upon saying this, Zheng Qing could distinctly feel the witch’s impassioned mood.

He couldn’t help but squirm in his seat.

This signal was so obvious that the ponytailed witch noticed his discomfort almost instantly.

“Ahem,” she coughed slightly and added, “So, the student council needs to accurately grasp every new mber’s background…

you just need to fill out whether you have an extraterrestrial bloodline, and your unique talents.”

Zheng Qing pondered for a mont, then carefully wrote down ‘pure wizard’ in the blank space.

Ti flew by swiftly.

The final part of the application requested listing down the departnt the student is applying for, along with a five-hundred-word explanation of their reason for applying.

Looking at the ‘Departnt List’ listed separately on the application form, Zheng Qing hesitated.

He had previously asked Nicolas about the student council.

According to this veteran who had spent two years in the first year of University, there were over a dozen departnts under the student council.

However, important ones were only handful.

The presidential board, the demon hunting departnt, academic departnt, external affairs departnt and supervisory departnt.

Other departnts, such as publicity, internal affairs, secretarial office, organization departnt were reduced to running errands and usually vanished when it ca to important student activities.

The presidential board, the highest leadership body of the student council, consisted of a student council president and several vice-presidents – in our university, the number of vice-presidents was usually maintained at four.

In most cases, this departnt recruits only the top officials from within the student council, so Zheng Qing crossed out this option in advance.

As the na suggests, the demon-hunting departnt naturally organizes demon hunting activities.

Considering his zero knowledge of demon hunting, Zheng Qing wisely ignored this option.

Supervisory departnt had a bad reputation, as the requirent stipulated that the applicant must possess a certain combat capability.

Reliable sources indicate that the last step to join this departnt is to subdue a wild demon in a secret room.

Upon recalling the charming demoness on the enrollnt plane, Zheng Qing stifled a laugh, naturally dismissing this option.

The last two options remained.

The academic departnt was a good one.

Not only did they diate and lead in all student activities, but according to unverified sources, senior officials of this departnt were often considered as reserves for the student council presidential board.

The most appealing aspect of the external affairs departnt was that the school assigned professional assistants to this departnt.

Here, there were nurous opportunities to learn advanced magic beyond the classroom, and chances for collaboration with other organizations, carrying out so ‘external’ special tasks.

For the young wizards that had been confined to the academy for a long ti, the prospect of travelling far and wide, and occasionally learning sothing, was naturally attractive.

Nicolas, when ntioning these details, was mysterious and often vague.

But the vaguer he was, the more curious Zheng Qing beca.

Holding his brush pen, Zheng Qing paused in mid-air for a few seconds, finally ticking the departnt he had already chosen in his heart.

The First University Student Council’s External Affairs Departnt.

As for the 500-word reason for applying, being a young man influenced by more than a decade of ‘great and noble’ virtues, Zheng Qing could list a hundred different reasons, that would leave the reviewer thoroughly impressed.

Since today’s application was only a preliminary selection.

Students only needed to complete their personal information, declare their special skills and pets, allowing the interviewers to do an initial screening.

So the whole process advanced very quickly.

“Does the External Affairs Departnt really have the chance to visit other islands?” Eden was unable to help himself but inquire from the student council staff when submitting the application form.

“There will be external liaisons and external affairs.

Anything is possible,” replied the witch with the triangular emblem on her robes, with a beaming smile.

“When will I know the result of the application?” Zheng Qing eagerly asked.

He was confident about passing the preliminary screening.

If even he was rejected, among all the freshers enrolled in Jiuyou Academy of the university, how many would be eligible to join the student council?

This poor young man completely forgot that he received a penalty as soon as he enrolled.

“The results of the preliminary screening will be out this weekend.” The elder sister collecting the forms, patted the law book at her side, reminding, “Make sure to keep your communication open.”
