287: Chapter 211: Why Not Communicate With Thoughts_1 287: Chapter 211: Why Not Communicate With Thoughts_1 “When you learn Magic Scripts, the first thing you need to understand is what Magic Script is.”

Standing at the lectern, Professor Emma first set the tone for this class:

“In the previous few classes, you have already briefly understood the origin, developnt and current situation of Magic Scripts; you know how to use Magic Scripts in various situations; you have seen how I communicated with a devil elder through Sky Script and eventually reached a consensus.”

Zheng Qing heard up to here, struggling to suppress his urge to roll his eyes.

Reached a consensus?

Just as the great devil barely stuck its head out of the magical door, Professor Emma beheaded it with her spell and then bricked up the door again.

Then, that poor head endured a bombastic bombardnt of spells, from its neck to the tip of its hair, from its eyelid to its nose hair, all of it sealed by multi-colored spell.

Only at this point, did the Professor begin to speak harmoniously to this unknown visitor about Sky Script.

This big demon, who might have been causing great trouble in Hell, fully demonstrated to the young wizards in the classroom what it ans to make the best of a situation, to be adaptable, to bear insults and loads, and to be unyielding in the face of this terrifying old witch.

Zheng Qing was very skeptical of Professor Emma’s dedication to answering every question and fulfilling every request.

He considered, if it wasn’t for its tail being locked on the other side of the magic circle, it would definitely demonstrate to each student how a minion was created.

“In this class, we return to the source and talk about the fundantal origins of Magic Scripts.”

Perhaps sensing the weird atmosphere in the classroom, Professor Emma enhanced her tone, posing a question to everyone:

“Who can tell , what is script?”

Zheng Qing sat upright, pondering with a furrowed brow.

This is a big topic.

Slowly, people began to raise their hands in the classroom.

Xin Fat Man’s chubby elbow stood out amongst the rest, claiming the most eye-catching spot.

The Professor approved of this proactive attitude, nodding her head in sign for Xin Fat Man to answer this question.

“Script is a symbol system used to record language and is a product of human civilization having developed to a certain extent.” Xin Fat Man said seriously, his usual playful expression completely absent, appearing quite professional ,”It can be understood as, under a convention system, possessing a prescribed form and containing a prescribed aning.

Modern analysis believes that the main developnt direction of script is phonogram and semiotics.”

“Mundane script is reportedly like this.” Madam Emma adjusted her huge black-frad glasses, nodding her head without expressing surprise, “But for Magic Script, script is everything!

It’s the foundation of magic inheritance!

Magic Scripts not only contain a fixed form and have a fixed semantic and fixed combination, but also include other features…

which we will gradually touch upon in later classes.

Aside from one point, Magic Script has only one line of developnt.”

“The second question, what script do mortals use?”

Zheng Qing felt he needed to redeem himself in the eyes of Madam Emma, so he quickly raised his hand and she, flipping through the class register, gave a nod of approval.

“It should be the two main types of phonetic script and pictographic script.” Feeling the stern gaze from the platform, Zheng Qing was sowhat nervous, desperately searching his brain for any scattered pieces of information:

“One type of script is directly related to aning, the script dictates the aning it represents.

When a new term needs to be expressed, a new script is generated through naming conventions; the other type is related to the connection between aning and symbols developing over ti…

it should mirror what Xin Student ntioned earlier.”

“The expression is complicated…

but the general idea can be understood.” Madam Emma frowned, patting the thick notes in her hand, she summarized, “Just like the two students ntioned above.”

“Human pronunciation is limited and can be summarized into dozens of phones, each phone is represented by a symbol and then through the combination of phones, they express their aning.

This is the simplest language system, like Muggle Latin, because it’s simple, so it’s the choice for many secondary civilizations.”

“Or by building symbols, each scenario having its own symbol, bestowing upon this symbol a combination of phones, then expressing its aning, this is much more complicated.

Only the initial civilization could develop such a language, in the profane world today, only Huaxia continues to carry forward this heritage.”

“But the above ntioned are all human languages and script systems.

For wizards, these concepts only have a certain reference value.”

“Magic Script, the script that communicates with the source of Magic Power, is another term for the advanced universal language of the universe, which is commonly referred to as ‘Sky Script’ in the modern wizarding world, aning script of the sky.”

“Compared with mundane script, Magic Script has two characteristics.”

“First, symbol.

Magic Script is comprised of 365 symbols, each one is unique, possessing the symbolic embodint of complex patterns and three-dinsional structures of ideas.

In other words, if your ability isn’t enough, you won’t even be able to form Magic Script!”

“Second, communication.

The pronunciation of each Magic Script must integrate the vibrations of the vocal cords, the tremors of the mind, and the reflection of vision to express.

If you don’t have the talent of a wizard, naturally you would be isolated from the profound language.”

“Many students will express during their learning that we can communicate with other life forms very simply by ans like ‘heart language’ or ‘intention’.

Why should we learn such a cumberso, complex, and seemingly obsolete language?”

Zheng Qing nodded repeatedly.

This was a question he was very curious about.

To wizards, a strong spiritual power ensures their ability to communicate with each other just through their intentions.

Even when communicating with alien species, they can also use this simple thod just as easily.

There’s absolutely no need to go to the trouble of learning this complicated and awkward Magic Script.

“In short, it’s to protect ourselves.”

“Communication through intention is nothing more than a simple matter for many people.”

“You only need basic spell foundations to explore the secrets deep within others through the connection of their intentions.

But conversely, even if you have great power, it’s hard to prevent others from probing into your mind.

So, when going out to communicate, you must always learn to protect your thoughts!”

“A wizard can be without limbs, eyes, ears.”

“But a wizard can’t be without a brain.”

“Our thoughts are our most precious asset…it’s the only proof of us being independent in this world.”

“Any attempt to influence your thoughts can be seen as an ‘intrusive invasion’.”

“So prevent problems before they arise, it’s never too much for our brains.”

“Thinking, thinking, the dinsion of thinking, the dinsion of consciousness.”

“Compared with the dinsions of space and ti, this dinsion is more hidden…but more closely related to us.”

“Ever since the rise of Dinsionism, any categories related to dinsions have been re-interpreted by wizards…According to the theory of this faction, the interference of thought with other dinsions is the fundantal source of a wizard’s power.

This emphasizes even more our attention to the security of ‘thinking’.”

“Lastly, Magic Scripts can communicate with the mysterious energy existing in the universe through a variety of vibrations.

Compared to the original lengthy spell chants, you only need a simple one, even half, or one-third Magic Script character to finish chanting.

In many cases, this is a very distinct advantage.”

“In conclusion, whether it’s protecting ourselves or others, Magic Script is a very effective ans.”

“I hope!” Professor Emma heavily paused from her thick class notes, invigorating everyone in the classroom.

“Through one academic year of study, each student can proficiently grasp twenty Magic Scripts, the remnants of 365 standard characters!

Do you all have confidence!”

“Yes!” The young wizards responded with a surge of energy, full of confidence.
