Turns out I’ve really apprenticed myself to a Magic Master of Dark Arts!

"So, teacher, can you teach more about Dark Arts?" You can only say that those ant to be together will always find each other. Such a unique ntor-protégé bond must have a spiritual connection.

Little Morgan is also full of longing for Dark Arts.

The reason is simple.

The power of Dark Arts is formidable.

In her eyes, it has far greater prospects than White Magic.

"Let’s begin with sothing simpler, hmm, the magic you wished to learn last night, the most basic magic, and also essential for venturing out into the world."

Ian spoke softly.

He raised his index finger once more.

At the sa ti.

Little Morgan felt a chill running through her heart.

"Feel this intent to kill, savor its allure, this is—Avada Kedavra." Ian spoke softly, his fingertip once again pointing at Little Morgan’s brow.

By the small trickling stream.

The fish swam, the birds chirped.

The teacher imparted the first spell to his apprentice.

The magic that began the story.

...

On the other end of the castle.

Duke Gorias of Cornwall, sat in his lavishly decorated study, his brow furrowed, toying with a ring set with a dazzling gemstone in his hand.

The window of this study was half-open, the sun filtering through the delicate curtains, casting dappled light and shadow, contrasting sharply with the heavy atmosphere inside.

"What does Uther Pendragon an by specially sending a letter to praise my wife?"

Gorias sat in his high-backed chair, taking a sip of red wine, his gaze distant, looking towards the mountains, or perhaps towards the direction of the royal city. The room was opulently furnished, with portraits of ancestors on the walls and shelves laden with precious ancient books and artworks.

However, at this mont, he had little interest in admiring them, his brows slightly furrowed, seemingly pondering sothing. Just then, an abrupt shadow appeared at the wall’s edge.

It blocked off the sunlight spilling into the room. However, Duke Gorias didn’t seem surprised, only looked sowhat intriguedly towards the indistinct figure within the shadow.

"What’s the matter?"

He inquired.

The figure in the shadows also gave a response, "Your daughter, Miss Morgan, brought three n back last night, and the knights accompanying her were made to drink a potion of mory loss."

The person hidden in shadows had a voice that betrayed neither gender, speaking in low tones about Miss Morgan bringing back Ian and two others, and the unfortunate fate of the knights who forgot their mories.

The Grand Duke paused after hearing the news, then spoke with a hint of lant in his tone, "My daughter, Morgan, has matured so early, knowing how to keep male companions at such a young age, it’s truly unexpected. It seems ti to have soone give her so targeted guidance."

It’s undeniable.

This might be an overly liberal father.

Upon hearing the words.

The figure in the shadow remained wordlessly silent.

He simply couldn’t fathom how the Duke arrived at such a conclusion.

A few screws loose?

She’s rely a young girl!

"Those three n, what is their background?" Gorias swirled his wine glass, laughed for a mont, then suddenly beca serious.

As if conducting a background check.

"Grand Duke, those three are all Wizards."

The figure in the shadows spoke with an unusually serious tone.

Upon hearing this, Duke Gorias furrowed his brows as well.

"She really found genuine Wizards?" A tinge of gravity flashed through Duke Gorias’ eyes. Despite being a Duke, wielding imnse power and wealth, he understood well that dealings involving Wizards were never trivial. Wizards’ magic powers were far beyond ordinary people, and even a slight misstep could lead to unforeseen consequences.

"Yes, Grand Duke, the three of them have obscure backgrounds and imnse magic power, one even a child of about ten that made even feel a chill."

The shadowed figure’s tone seed to fluctuate sowhat.

His words made Duke Gorias rise from his seat.

"Very powerful Wizards?"

The Duke’s voice was laced with uncertainty.

"Beyond your imagination strong."

The shadowed figure responded conclusively.

This caused Duke Gorias’ expression to shift slightly, putting down the wine glass, his fingers unconsciously tapping the table, "I need to know their true identities and their intentions with Morgan."

The Duke had no choice but to be concerned.

Given the current circumstances.

He’s most afraid of soone with malintent approaching his family.

"It’s beyond our capacity to investigate this matter." The shadowed figure, despite the Duke’s orders, chose to refuse, bearing a tone heavy with gravity.

"You are not a Wizard, you do not understand the might of such Wizards, Grand Duke. While our organization has a deep cooperative relationship with you, we are not your private army, nor will we risk our lives for your personal purposes. Such Wizards are fully capable of killing and posing a threat to the organization behind ."

The voice in the shadow was very earnest.

Imbued with extre determination.

However.

Hearing this, Duke Gorias’ expression remained unchanged.

As if he had anticipated this scenario.

"I will pay more, a lot more, just like your usual terms." He tapped the table once more, in a tone that carried a flavor of extravagance.

Upon hearing this.

The ntion of "more paynt" made the figure in the shadow nod imdiately, his attitude shifting 365 degrees, becoming respectful once more.

"Praise be to you, illustrious Duke, then, I shall wield the power granted by fairy tales, under the eternal Raven’s witness, to fulfill your command, deal with the trouble of those three foreign Wizards, and protect Cornwall’s brightest jewel!" The voice in the shadow beca resolute.

Almost as if imnsely confident.

Quite unlike just before when faced with the powerful Wizards.

"Heh."

Duke Gorias, clearly no stranger to this, watched the shadow leave his room, resuming the play with the dazzling gemstone-ringed ring in his hand.

"Soul Hall, such an intriguing organization, why are they so keen on collecting gold and gemstones?" His eyes revealed a hint of puzzlent and contemplation.

His thoughts drifted back to when he first encountered this organization.

It was on Morgan’s day of birth.

So esoteric Wizards ca knocking, claiming to be from Soul Hall hiding within fairy tales, believing Morgan to have the makings of a Great Witch worth their protection.

Duke Gorias pondered whether sothing was wrong with these Wizards’ minds, although he did know that as long as the price was right, these Wizards could fulfill nearly any task.

As for their fondness for money.

These Wizards rely replied, "The Lord loves glittering things." To this, Duke Gorias wasn’t very convinced, having t nurous clergy mbers in his life.

Yet.

He’d never heard of any deity with such a practical predilection. Duke Gorias believed there was deeper aning behind it, just as he thought the annual green hat sent by this organization had a deeper significance.
