Vid thought, if he only contented himself with being a protected person, leaving all the problems to others, then one day he would find that there was no one left in front of him to block the danger.
The adults now always see him as a child, but Vid cannot really think of himself as a carefree kid.

The twins suddenly made a funny face.
"Listen to him— ’nothing,’ though we are sitting in the sa house, it’s not sothing you should care about!"
George pinched his voice and said oddly.
"Hey, I didn’t say the latter part!" Vid protested.
"I know that’s what you’re thinking." George imdiately said.
Fred looked at his brother George and said, raising his eyebrows: "I almost thought Mom had arrived!"
George mimicked their mother: "Fred, George, you two are still young! Put it down! It’s too dangerous for you! Sit down nicely, and don’t move!"
Vid was speechless at first, then realized that his actions were no different from the other adults.
He couldn’t fully trust the strength and character of other young wizards, thinking they were not yet ready to participate, just like those adult wizards weren’t willing to tell him certain things.
Vid could take the young wizards to handle the Soul Artifact because the whole thing was under his control; it seed dangerous but was actually no different from a field trip.
But this ti, the matter was not sothing he understood from the plot, so he subconsciously adopted a more conservative approach, excluding others.
Vid remained silent for a while, then sighed and said: "Alright... to avoid saying it a second ti, let’s discuss this further at the Umbrella House this afternoon."
"Okay, we can wait until then."
The twins said contentedly.
Then they continued repairing the Two-Sided Mirror.

Vid was the "academic type" Alchemist, with an imnse foundation of knowledge and ticulous and regulated practical operation. The twins, on the other hand, were entirely "street smart," with so high-level knowledge and so areas of complete ignorance.
For a work, Vid knew what the result would be even before starting; whereas the Weasley Twins often had a lightbulb mont halfway through—
"Hey, I have an idea..."
"Great idea! Why not give it a try?"
Even they wouldn’t know what their work would beco before completing it.
The combination of the two created so fantastic sparks, but also held back each other—
For instance, according to Vid’s plan, the Two-Sided Mirror should have been repaired last sester.
But because the twins repeatedly proposed modifications, several tis coming up with new ideas midway, it still remained a defective product to this day.
However, Vid had to admit, he was always moved by their ideas, which was why the repair work was delayed for so long.
Sotis, the twins’ whimsical thinking made Vid wonder who actually traveled from the future to the present.
"My idea is quite simple, turning the Two-Sided Mirror from one-to-one to one-to-many, from mutual communication into one-sided information broadcast..."
Vid drew a sketch of the Magic Text on paper and explained:
"It’s essentially a Muggle television, where one mirror acts as the TV station, and the others are the receivers. Things like light and shadow, sound, interaction, real projection, etc., can be considered as future directions, but initially, there’s no need to be so complex."
George asked, "Can we make it change channels?"
"Not possible for now." Vid countered, "Muggles have countless people filming new TV shows, what do we have?"
"What’s the point of a television that can’t change channels?" Fred said, "Why don’t we figure out a way to convert a Muggle television into a magic version? Like a Magic Radio."
"Because the structure of a television is much more intricate and complex compared to a radio, and it’s impossible to convert television signals into images just through chanical vibrations..."
Seeing their bewildered expressions, Vid sighed helplessly and explained simply, "Magic interferes with electromagnetic waves, so it’s not possible."
"...You know, Vid," Fred said seriously after a while, "My dad would absolutely love you! I guarantee it!"
"He’s extrely interested in Muggle technology, but no one in our family can discuss it with him."
George explained, "My dad has collected a box of power plugs and batteries, and he even bought a Muggle car for research."
Vid struggled not to ask— "What’s the point of collecting those?"
In the wizards’ view, so Muggles collecting those "supposedly magical" rags, stones, and feathers is also laughable.
The two worlds are clearly so close, yet entirely distinct.
In Vid’s view, Muggles not understanding wizards is relatively understandable, as many magical protections prevent them from approaching or understanding another world.
But most wizards live near Muggle villages, walk through Muggle cities, can stroll into any bookstore to buy all kinds of books, yet remain so unaware of the other group, it’s truly unbelievable.
And this situation will eventually be shattered by the ever-advancing technology of the non-magical world, yet most wizards are unaware of it. Like foolish roe deer running towards car lights, oblivious to the risk of being run over by a car.
