"I can’t quite understand how that pen works, but Dumbledore really likes you, Vid. If you ever get the chance, you should go study it."

"I hope I get the chance... but it’s probably not that easy," Vid shrugged.

The Pen of Acceptance was definitely one of Hogwarts’ most precious treasures. Vid thought Dumbledore would rather throw away the sword Gryffindor left behind than let anyone touch the pen.

"Actually, it’s not that difficult," Professor Morry said. "If you ever beco the headmaster of Hogwarts, all the school’s secrets will be open to you, my child."

Vid was stunned for a mont and then chuckled helplessly, "I haven’t thought that far ahead, Professor. But I certainly wouldn’t want to spend my days dealing with a bunch of troubleso kids... Maybe being a pure Alchemist is more suitable for ? Like you."

Professor Morry laughed, "In reality, I’m not as pure as you think, Vid. In fact, I have shares in quite a few companies and participated in so hot-blooded activities when I was younger."

He said thoughtfully, "As you know, when war breaks out, no one can remain indifferent... Compared to , Vorvillet in the Witch Pure Party is more pure."

Upon hearing that familiar na, Vid couldn’t help but look up at Professor Morry.

The silver-haired professor nodded, "That’s right, we were friends in our younger days and even now, we are not exactly enemies."

"I also heard about so things you encountered during the break, Vid... because that rascal Vorvillet shalessly wrote to , trying to steal my student."

He showed a faintly dangerous smile.

Vid was speechless.

Actually, after returning to school, he also received letters from Vorvillet, who seed eager for the Ti Turner. Vid could only write back to him—

Impossible, there’s a monitoring spell from the Ministry of Magic on the Ti Turner, so it’s absolutely impossible to lend it out.

Unexpectedly, Vorvillet even sent the letter to Professor Morry.

Professor Morry asked, "I heard that guy gave you his Alchemy notes?"

"Yes," Vid nodded firmly, "In fact, when I was caught by the Witch Pure Party, he also protected quite a bit."

"So, what impression do you have of them?" Professor Morry asked.

"Mr. Vorvillet?" Vid replied naturally, "He’s a good man and has unique insights in Alchemy. I’ve learned a lot..."

"No," Professor Morry interrupted him, "Vid, I was asking about the Witch Pure Party—what’s your impression of them?"

Vid was silent for a while before hesitantly saying, "Idealists with equal parts danger and drive? Unlike most wizards here in the UK, they don’t hold much reverence for life and focus more on beliefs and goals."

"... A fair assessnt."

Professor Morry chuckled, "In many people’s eyes, they are fanatical believers, brutal executioners, Death Knights under Grindelwald."

Vid looked at Professor Morry and softly said, "I didn’t live through that era, so my perspective is sowhat limited."

"We are neither gods nor rlin; no one can truly see everything in its entirety," Professor Morry said.

He skipped over the topic and casually said, "That fool Vorvillet, as long as you sweet-talk him, he’ll hand over all his Alchemy knowledge. As for everything else... just follow your own thoughts and don’t let others sway you."

Vid slowly nodded, "Yes, Professor."

"Oh, I heard you also received an invitation from Nicolas Flal?" Professor Morry asked again.

"Yes," Vid hesitated for a mont, "I’m actually a bit nervous because it’s Mr. Nicolas Flal... I don’t know how to interact with him."

"It’s simple, rember one thing—don’t ask about the Philosopher’s Stone and the Elixir of Life, and it’ll be fine."

Professor Morry said kindly, "With your upbringing and your love for knowledge, as long as you be yourself, Nicolas Flal will definitely like you—he’s actually quite an easy-going person, so don’t worry."

...

Vid still had a Herbology class in the afternoon, so he didn’t stay long in Professor Morry’s office.

While walking with the crowd toward the greenhouse, Vid couldn’t help but look back toward Professor Morry’s office.

The nurous windows of the castle reflected the evening sunlight, making it impossible for him to see if there was a pair of eyes silently watching him behind the glass, nor could he precisely pinpoint which window it was.

Vid had once misunderstood Professor Morry, fearing he was the kind of professor who would seize a student’s academic achievents. But after much care and selfless guidance from Professor Morry, he had long let go of such unfounded worries and even found his initial fright sowhat laughable.

However, just now... when Professor Morry asked him about his view on the Witch Pure Party, Vid suddenly felt that spine-chilling fear again.

He didn’t want to doubt the professor who had cared for him like a father, but he couldn’t stop thinking...

When Professor Morry said "don’t let others sway you," was he referring to Grindelwald, or to Dumbledore?

"What’s wrong, Vid?" Michael suddenly walked up to him and asked curiously, "You look a bit pale."

Vid withdrew his gaze and walked to the greenhouse with him, saying, "Maybe I’m just too tired lately... You know sotis I attend classes with the senior students."

"Don’t push yourself too hard, Vid." Michael advised, "I know the last incident put a lot of pressure on you, but if you continue like this, I’m worried you might collapse."

"I know... I’ll adjust." Vid replied compliantly.

"By the way, let’s go to Remus’ place during the next Hogsade weekend, okay?"

Michael said excitedly, "Professor Hagrid caught a Boggart from sowhere, and Harry said Remus would use it to help us learn the Patronus Charm—hopefully, we can conjure a corporeal Patronus like you."

"I’m afraid I’ll have to pass this ti." Vid politely declined, "I’ve already accepted Carrel’s invitation to visit his parents during Hogsade weekend."

"Visit his parents?" Michael repeated in confusion.

"Our families were friends." Vid calmly explained, "Carrel’s parents have also co to Hogsade, and they said they wanted to et ."

"Oh, that’s a pity." Michael said with a smile, "When you co back, I’ll tell you what those guys are most afraid of! I heard during Defense Against the Dark Arts class, Professor Trokka didn’t let Harry face the Boggart."

"Why?" Vid asked casually.

"Probably worried the Boggart would turn into sothing terrifying? Like a Two-Faced Man with an extra face on the back of its head?"

Michael speculated, "But he’s probably overthinking it. I think Harry is more afraid of his Muggle relatives—after all, when facing him, the Mysterious Man is usually the one at a disadvantage, right?"

Vid helplessly said, "Keep your voice down, so the Slytherins don’t hear you, Michael."

"Hey, they may not say it, but they probably think the sa deep down." Michael said indifferently.

He usually dealt with Slytherin students and could sense that behind their aloof and hostile attitudes, there was a vague wariness and fear of Harry Potter.

Otherwise, there wouldn’t only be a handful of people led by Malfoy frequently causing trouble for Harry.

Vid looked at him, feeling a strange sensation in his heart.

—It seed like Michael was no longer as afraid of Voldemort as he used to be.

Has his courage grown along with his knowledge and experience?
