Capítulo 1784: Story 1784: The Shattering of the Sovereign

The Hollow Sovereign descended like a collapsing star, its mass warping the chamber around it. The air scread as fractures of impossible geotry spiraled out from every movent. Echoes poured forward in a tidal surge—thousands of hollow forms clawing over one another to reach the intruders.

Erian tightened his grip on the Dreamfire blade. “Hold formation! Don’t let them break through!”

Marra vaulted over a wave of echoes, landing with blades crossed. “Break through what? The floor? The walls? Reality?!”

“YES!” Tovin shrieked, firing another unstable bolt that split into three halfway through. All three exploded in the wrong directions. “Accidentally! Sorry!”

Lun ignored the chaos, anchoring threads of silver around the Loomchild’s cocoon. The child’s flickering glow strengthened—but only barely.

“The Sovereign is tightening the siphon,” Lun cried. “If we don’t stop it now, the Loomchild will unravel completely!”

The Sovereign lifted its colossal arms, void-flesh dripping like liquid night.

“THE WEAVER’S END IS THE BEGINNING OF PEACE.”

It slamd its limbs down.

Space shattered.

Shockwaves rippled through the chamber—echoes were vaporized, the ground inverted, and Erian was thrown across the fractured floor. He rolled, gasping, vision flickering white.

Marra landed beside him, grimacing. “We can’t keep blocking hits like that!”

Erian wiped blood from his brow. “We don’t have to block them. We just need to sever its connection.”

“How?!” Tovin yelled. “It IS the connection!”

“No,” Lun whispered. “It feeds through the nexus. The heart of this realm.”

They pointed upward.

At the very top of the chamber, suspended like a malignant sun, pulsed a massive orb of blackened light—the Hollow Nexus. Every tendril from the Sovereign’s body connected back to it.

Erian felt the truth strike him like lightning.

“Marra! Tovin! We take the Sovereign head-on!”

Both froze.

Marra blinked. “That’s the worst sentence I’ve ever heard.”

“Agreed,” Tovin added. “Hate it.”

“Lun,” Erian said, ignoring them, “can you get to the Nexus?”

Lun’s eyes widened—but then hardened with resolve. “Yes. But only if you distract the Sovereign long enough.”

Marra cracked her knuckles. “Oh, we can distract the big void blob.”

Tovin whimpered. “At what cost?”

Marra grinned. “Probably our lives. Let’s go!”

They launched forward.

Marra danced across limbs of shadow, carving glowing scars into the Sovereign’s body. Tovin hurled unstable magic that burst into brilliant, chaotic fire, disorienting the monster. Erian joined them—feinting left, diving right—striking with just enough force to make the Sovereign focus entirely on him.

The colossus bellowed:

“YOU WILL NOT TOUCH THE HEART.”

“Wrong,” Erian hissed. “I already have.”

Lun grasped Erian’s hand—

And the world inverted.

They soared upward, weaving along impossible angles, slipping through folds of unspace until they reached the black sun at the chamber’s peak.

The Nexus pulsed like a corrupted heart.

“Erian,” Lun whispered, “strike with everything.”

He raised the Dreamfire blade.

The Sovereign roared in terror.

“NO!”

Erian drove the sword into the Nexus.

Light detonated.

The realm scread.

Tendrils snapped.

The Sovereign’s body split with a sound like a dying void—

And the great monster began to unravel.
