Capítulo 1787: Story 1787: The Weaver of All That Remains

The path of living threads narrowed as they continued forward, the colors swirling around them deepening from prismatic brightness into muted twilight hues. Every step humd beneath their feet, resonating like the plucked strings of so colossal cosmic instrunt.

The Weave was no longer simply a place—it was a presence, aware and observing.

Erian felt the weight of its gaze settle over him. “Anyone else feel like we’re walking into the center of soone’s mind?”

“Soone extrely powerful and extrely picky,” Tovin muttered. “Which is a terrible combination.”

Marra scanned the swirling strands. “If this Weaver decides what reality keeps… what happens to the parts it doesn’t?”

Lun’s tone turned grim. “They’re unmade. Forgotten. Removed from existence.”

Tovin squeaked. “I vote we behave perfectly.”

The path suddenly widened into a platform woven from threads so dense they resembled stone. Ahead, a spiral staircase of living light rose upward, vanishing into a shimr in the air—like a doorway made of breath.

The Loomchild hovered slightly higher, their glow steady despite exhaustion. “Beyond this point, the Weaver sees us directly.”

“Hasn’t he been watching already?” Marra asked.

“Yes,” the Loomchild whispered. “But now he chooses whether to speak.”

They ascended the staircase cautiously. The air grew heavier. Warr. Charged. By the ti they reached the top, Erian felt as though gravity itself was watching.

A vast chamber lay ahead—no walls, no ceiling, only endless woven strands arranged like a cosmic loom stretching into infinity. And at its center sat a figure.

The Weaver.

Not tall or monstrous. Not radiant or imposing. Instead, a quiet, hooded silhouette seated before the loom, hands moving slowly as they threaded strands of shimring existence through one another. Each movent created ripples that beca worlds… or ended them.

The figure spoke without lifting its head:

“You bring the Loomchild back to the center.”

Its voice was neither male nor female, neither loud nor soft. It simply was, vibrating through the threads around them.

Erian stepped forward cautiously. “Are you the Weaver?”

The hood tilted slightly.

“Nas function differently here. I am the hand that shapes. The voice that chooses. The silence that decides. If you need a term, Weaver is… acceptable.”

Tovin whispered, “I hate this. I hate this so much.”

The Weaver’s unseen gaze settled on the Loomchild.

“You are incomplete.”

The Loomchild bowed their head. “I know.”

“Your unraveling nearly cascaded into collapse.”

“I know,” they whispered again.

Erian stepped between them. “We saved them. And we stopped the Sovereign.”

For the first ti, the Weaver’s hands stilled.

“The Sovereign was not ant to be destroyed yet.”

The group froze.

Marra’s voice was sharp. “You’re saying we did the wrong thing?”

“You disrupted a scheduled dissolution. The Weave compensates, but your interference accelerates instability elsewhere.”

Tovin threw up his hands. “We kill one universe-eating void monster and suddenly we’re the problem?!”

The Weaver ignored him.

“You four have beco entangled in threads far beyond your intended patterns.”

Lun stepped forward, eyes narrowing. “Then what happens now?”

The Weaver lifted a hand.

The entire chamber vibrated.

Threads around them tightened, forming a circular pattern beneath their feet—an anchor, or a snare.

“Now,” the Weaver said softly,

“I must decide whether your threads continue… or are cut.”
