Capítulo 1788: Story 1788: Judgnt of the Loom

The circle of woven threads tightened around their feet, glowing with a cold, assessing light. None of them could move—not even the Loomchild. The Weave itself held them still, as though inspecting insects trapped in amber.

The Weaver rose.

Not abruptly. Not with ceremony.

Simply stood—quiet and inevitable, like a shadow deciding to take form.

Their hooded face remained unreadable as they approached, each step altering the threads of reality beneath them. Colors shifted. Gravity wavered. Ti felt as if it were reconsidering its own flow.

Erian swallowed hard. “If you’re going to judge us… at least let us speak.”

The Weaver paused, head tilting.

“Speech is not required. Your threads tell your truths.”

Tovin squeaked. “Can my thread lie? Please?”

Marra elbowed him, though her tight jaw betrayed her own fear.

The Weaver extended one finger toward Erian.

A single strand rose from his chest—glowing gold, frayed at the edges.

Images flickered within it:

Battles fought. Friends saved. Futures risked. A blade of Dreamfire cutting through nightmares.

And beneath it all, a quiet ache—doubt, fear, guilt he never voiced.

The Weaver’s tone was unreadable.

“You burn brightly. Too brightly. You will either save… or scorch.”

The strand vanished.

Next, Marra’s.

Hers flared crimson, pulsing with defiance and loyalty.

Scenes flashed: blades dancing, impossible odds challenged, her anger sharpened into courage.

But also her fear of being forgotten. Her terror of being powerless.

“Your thread resists being woven,” the Weaver murmured.

“Yet it strengthens every pattern it touches.”

Marra blinked rapidly, looking anywhere but at the others.

Then Tovin.

His strand shot up in a chaotic burst of shifting colors—blue, green, violet, colors that shouldn’t exist. It twisted, sparked, tried to tangle itself.

Tovin whimpered. “Please don’t unravel . I’m barely holding it together as it is.”

The Weaver leaned closer.

“You are unstable. Unpredictable. Dangerous.”

Tovin paled.

Then the Weaver added quietly:

“And necessary.”

Tovin blinked. “Wait—what?”

But the Weaver had already turned to Lun.

Their thread rose in a serene arc of silver, smooth and luminous. Images appeared: gentle hands weaving light, protecting the Loomchild, carrying burdens without complaint.

But beneath the silver shimr… a darker thread pulsed. A hidden cost.

Lun’s breath hitched.

The Weaver touched the strand.

“You carry more than your design allows. You conceal fractures even from yourself.”

The strand faded.

Finally, the Weaver faced the Loomchild.

Silence fell.

Their thread rose slowly—not one color, but all of them. Infinite hues shifting in impossible ways. The Loomchild’s soul looked like a star being born and dying at once.

The Weaver’s hood lowered slightly, as though in reverence—or sorrow.

“You are the pattern yet unwritten. The last hope of a failing Weave.”

The Loomchild t the Weaver’s gaze without fear. “Then let remain.”

The Weaver gestured—and the circle beneath them flared.

Threads wrapped around each of them.

Judgnt had begun.

The chamber vibrated like a struck chord.

“I render my decision…” the Weaver whispered.

Light surged.

The threads constricted.

Reality flickered—

And then shattered outward into blinding white.
